Bayside Tire and Auto

I went to another mechanic first. They quoted me $ 2,200 to do numerous things to the vehicle to pass inspection. I told them to just give me a rejection sticker and the keys. I took it to bayside tire and auto. They reviewed the list from the first place and told me what I did have to do, what I didn’t and were very honest. Turns out I did not need new brakes yet or new tires (just needed to be rotated). They fixed a gasket, HD light, Rack and pinion, and other items at a much better rate than the first place. Picked up vehicle tonight for $ 600 instead of $ 2,200. Bayside Tire and Auto is the only place I will go moving forward.

Great customer service! The guy conducting my state inspection called me over to my vehicle to show me every discrepancy and explained what was wrong at a level that I could understand.

This place is the best of all places Ive had service in my 50 years of driving! The staff is customer friendly and they are super efficient. They guarantee their work and they’ve never let me down The reviewer exclaiming their high prices must’ve been doing his own work because I believe you get what you pay for and Bayside provides maximum quality for the dollar! You want your car treated as well as your child? Go here! Period!

These guys are top notch! The day I was bringing my 11 year old SUV in, the battery died. End of life for it. I called to inform these guys and they said no problem and arranged for a tow truck to come get it. During the state inspection they found a couple issues… brake lights going bad and parking brake not tight enough. They fixed these items for a super reasonable price. I’ll be coming back here for sure and have a point to tell my friends how great they are!

They’ve always been helpful and accommodating in getting our tires repaired. Keeps us coming back.

I have been taking my cars here for the past 8 years. They do an excellent job. I wouldn’t take my cars any place else.

My family and I have been using Brad for probably close to 15 years. The level of service you get REALLY depends on who you are dealing with. I needed an oil change 4 weeks ago, and when I called to ask if I could bring my car in on a Friday evening for them to work on first thing Saturday, the guy who answered the phone was slow and really didnt seem to understand. I’ve take my car up to Bayside EVERY Friday for service on Saturdays for every. single. oil change I’ve needed. But this guy seriously couldnt understand what I wanted to do! He basically said that no, I couldnt do that. I called back two weeks later, and the woman I got understood right away and said that absolutely I could bring my car in Friday evening. She was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Several months ago I took my car to Bayside to get the oil changed, and when I drove it off the lot, the Air Bag warning light was on in my dash. As soon as I got home I called Bayside and the guy I spoke to said basically «You’ll have to bring it back, we’ll have to hook it up to the diagnostics machine, and yes there will be a charge for that.» What?! In highsight, I shouldnt have drive it home and just turned around and taken it back to them. The Air Bag light is still on, several oil changes later.
If you need a shop in a pinch, these guys WILL get the work done. But now that I’ve moved to Norfolk and this place isnt just across the street anymore, I wont be going out of my way to see them.

Work is solid but they will nickle and dime you to death of you let them. A tad to expensive for my taste.
