Main Line Montessori School

I may be partial to MLMS because I also happen to teach there, but I cannot say enough about this positive, enriching environment for early learners. Often I tell new families or potential families that this is truly my home away from home. It is warm, relaxed and creative. All of the teachers have been employed at MLMS for many years. There is not a high turn over rate that is seen at many preschool environments, and the teachers are highly qualified in a variety of early child areas.
MLMS follows Maria Montessori’s popular philosophy of teaching that includes independence, freedom within the structured environment and creativity. Focuses include practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language, culture, science, as well as specials such as art, music, physical education and spanish. The program also provides in house «field trips» through out the school year.
MLMS’ s year follows a standard school calendar schedule with the options of early morning care, «lunch bunch» and afternoons. Open Houses are held Wednesday mornings and there are Mommy and Me options available.
