I called for a hopeful last minute appointment only to be screened if I had a groupon and told she won’t accept groupon Sunday’s be cause they are busy. She then said to come in and pay rather than pay groupon. When I arrived I was the only soul there even though they were «busy.» She seemed upset from the beginning I guess because she was offering the groupon rate in house. She had me pick colors and went to another room and closed the door. She kept me waiting about 10 minutes when I went to look if she was coming back. I asked if she was ready. She said yes, and then went back into a room and shut the door again. This situation made me uncomfortable and after looking at the chair where the pedicure was going to be which was filthy with no water and blue color, (usually indicative of disinfectant) I decided to leave. Horrible service and not a sanitary looking place.

I booked an appointment last minute before I left work for 6:30pm. After getting stuck in traffic at Tyson’s Corner and trying to find the salon (it’s on the back end of a building), I ended up being 15−20min late! :-O Thankfully, the younger Chinese woman had me seated and did my gel manicure anyways SCORE! Even though she was rushed (due to me being late) she did a maticulous job on my nails. They turned out beautiful. I used a groupon (though she told me in the future I could come and she would give me the same price w/​out groupon). Will definately be coming back again SOON! :-)

I found this place on Groupon and am so thankful I did. Julie has done my nails multiple times now and they have been perfect each time. She’s a perfectionist and very customer friendly. The salon is quiet and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to White Rose for a hair cuts and massages for the past several months and Julie is FANTASTIC! She has such a wonderful massage technique, Her positive energy flow right through her finger tips. Julie really knows how to relax one’s body and revive ones aching muscles. I highly recommend that you give her massage a try and I am confident that you won’t be disappointed.

Clean, efficient, and friendly. Our nails are beautiful. My daughter and I will be back.

I had such a great experience at White Rose that I had to share. Julie really gave me wonderful service at such a reasonable price. She cut and colored my hair exactly as I asked. I wanted a complete color change that looked natural and I’m super happy with how it turned out. And I got a great manicure at the same time. My appointment started on time with no waiting and even though the spa was busy I received her full attention. It was a really nice change from some of the bigger salons I have been to where you get shuffled in between clients. I can’t wait to go back and try the facial.

This is the worst nail salon I have ever had the misfortune to visit. A disaster from start to finish. My friend called to book two manicures for us on a Sunday and was told that we could have simultaneous mani-​pedis done. This sounded good — should have known it was too good to be true.
The location is weird — everything else in the building is a medical office. When we walked in there was nobody at the front desk for several minutes — when someone finally did walk up to greet us she appeared startled and upset that we were even there. We were assured by a younger woman who works there that yes, we could have our simultaneous services. Except that actually, we couldn’t because there was only one tiny room with a single pedicure chair, and there was another client still at the manicure table.
My friend waited for the manicure table to be free and we chatted while my pedicure was started. The middle-​aged lady doing my pedicure was nice enough, and she was doing a decent job, but halfway through she got up and left the room without explanation. Only after five minutes did the manicurist explain that she had a two-​hour massage appointment she had left to attend. Excuse me? Then why is she double-​booked?!. This meant I had to wait until my friend’s manicure was finished to have my pedicure, and then she essentially had to wait until my manicure was done to have her pedicure. This is NOT the definition of simultaneous. The whole thing took over two hours from start to finish, which is ridiculous. Another client walked in and left again when they realized they would have to wait at least 45 minutes to be seen, They should not schedule such overlapping appointments unless they have the staff to handle them!
As far as quality, my pedicure looks fine, as does my friends’. The manicures look OK but the manicurist cut one of my cuticles very badly, to the point where I was bleeding for quite a while, and she had to blot it multiple times. It *still* hurts. I did not say anything initially but she pointed it out. However, she did not apologize — just laughed it off and said, «Oh, it’s fine.» I responded, «Actually, it’s not fine — I have to handle rubbing alcohol at work and it’s going to be very painful if I get any on my hand now.» Again she laughed it off, no apology. I understand mistakes happen and it’s not an easy job, but if you injure someone, you should apologize!
The whole point of going to a salon or spa is to walk out feeling relaxed, soothed, and hopefully pretty. This was the exact opposite. The manicurist made a big deal out of complimenting my friend multiple times throughout the visit: «Oh, I love your pretty skin.» «Your hair is so curly — it’s beautiful,» «I love pale skin like yours.» The amount of compliments actually made my friend uncomfortable, but we just figured the manicurist was angling for a tip. Now, I don’t have light skin or curly hair — fair enough. But if you’re trying to win over your clients by being nice to them, then BE NICE to ALL of them! Apparently this girl does not understand that concept, because all I got from her was: «Do you want to stay and have your eyebrows waxed?»
No, I don’t. You’re rude, screw you. I walked in hoping to feel good about myself and walked out so hurt and angry I was on the verge of tears. You wasted nearly two and a half hours of my time and $ 50 of my money for a mani-​pedi that was only OK, and then insulted me to boot. I will never, EVER be back.

Fantastic salon! Julie is highly skilled and wows me each time I’m there. My haircut and manicure are fabulous. This salon is beautiful and the prices are great. Julie is so talented and she appreciates her customers. Please keep up the good work! Very satisfied customer here! A luxurious salon where you’ll always leave happy. I’m extremely picky about where I get my haircut so it’s a relief to have found White Rose spa. This salon is impressive and I feel so pampered. I recommend this salon to everyone!

My friend and I were looking for a place to get a little pampering before we both went off to our families for Thanksgiving. We happened upon this little hidden gem in Vienna, and I have to say that I cannot believe that it took us this long to find this establishment.
I went on Tuesday to have a shellac manicure. My friend and I were walk-​ins, and while there was a bit of a wait, the service I received was definitely worth the time. My shellac manicure was exceptionally well done, and while we were given a «first time customer» discount, the regular prices for the service was very fair for this area.
I returned today, and met Ivy, for a 90 minute deep-​tissue massage, and I have to say– I am slamming the red door in Elizabeth’s face, because this was probably one of the best massages I’ve ever received. Ivy was strong, professional, and definitely worked out all the knots I had accrued from school and work stress. I left feeling utterly revitalized!
Definitely a fan, and you should be too! Highly recommend the White Rose Salon!

Listen. My nails are awful. I need someone to take their time and I get pretty skeptical when a manicure is super quick. I came here yesterday after scheduling online and my gel manicure was done perfectly. I’ll update this if the gel doesn’t last but so far, it’s flawless.
I will be back!

My favorite salon in Vienna! I normally go there almost every two weeks for mani, pedi, or facial. They do great job on haircut as well. Lily and julie are really sweet and offer fabulous tech. I can always have what I really want there.

They do a great job. A few things, They don’t stamp their customer card more than once if you have more than one service same day but they will stamp it if you go separate days for each service. Last time i went they charged same price for a clear pedi and mani as if i would have gotten the color. If you forget the card they wont give you the stamp even though you are a regular customer. Now they removed most of the card services and i didnt even get to use it. Every time i went i got shellac mani, pedi spa and eyebrows, $ 65 (NOT BAD PRICE IN COMPARISON TO OTHERS $ 70 and up). They are always asking for cash and have a puppy face when you pull out your credit card, PAY the Fees just like everyone else! I wont be returning!!! I TRIED!!! Went numerous times. They asked me to remove the review and tried to offer a free service, respect my experience…

I contacted White Rose Spa to schedule 2 side-​by-​side pedicures. We waited a few minutes past our scheduled appt. time before I went to inquire as to when we would be seen. As it turns out, they have only one pedicure station, and the employee/​owner (?) had just started tending to another client.
I asked why she would schedule 3 appointments for one work station. She told me she can not determine how long a pedi will take and that sometimes people may want both a pedi and a mani. That’s all fine, but we scheduled 2 pedis at 3:30 and nothing else. Even if we were the only customers in the spa she still would not have been able to honor our scheduled appointments.
We walked out. She followed us outside and tried to encourage us to stay by offering a free service or paying for us to have services at another establishment. I appreciate the effort, but I have no faith in a business owner who would rather inconvenience customers than simple be honest about their availability to accommodate our request. I won’t be returning.

Went here for a manicure/​pedicure. The ladies were really nice and friendly and they did an awesome job! Definitely will come back!

Got my nails done last week and they are still looking as fabulous as the 1^st day even after having to partake in many heavy lifting and nail damaging activities in preparation for my wedding.
This small salon is tucked behind a strip of busy office buildings due to the limited space, they may not be able to accommodate large parties. However, Julie and Lily were super friendly, talented, and detail-​oriented, and will work with you to ensure you get quality service.
Seems like booking through phone is the best way for now as the online booking system is not working.

I found this charming little place on Groupon. It was nice to sit in a private little room for my mani pedi with relaxing spa music playing. The actual paint job turned out perfect, too. I will be back to try their massage services next time!

I had a Groupon for two gel manicures and spa pedicures. This review covers my last session.
As others have said they take their time here. Two hours for a mani/​pedi is just too long for me, but this might be a pro for someone else. Also, it struck me as strange that they take water from the pedicure basin, place it into a bowl and use it to soak your fingernails.
As someone else mentioned there is a definite language barrier. I asked for the color black and the manicurist had no idea what I was saying. I finally had to point to the black on my shirt and then she understood.
When I asked for a modern french with black polish I must have been asked three times if I wasn’t sure I wanted white because «I just want you to look pretty.» This is a little bit of a pet peeve of mine. She asked me if I wanted clear or pink for the base color and I told her clear. Again she asked many times if I didn’t want pink, finally telling me she was just going to to do pink because it’s nicer and I had to firmly say ‘clear please.’ I hate having to argue about things like this.
The manicurist called the owner? receptionist? back and they spoke for a while in a foreign language. This woman ended up staying back, filing her nails and watching my manicure. It was pretty awkward. Finally at the end they oohed and ahhed over how good it looked, even taking a picture.
She did a very good job, but I probably won’t return. I hate having someone argue with me over what color I want and it was just too strange having an employee sit and watch me.

The service at White Rose salon is wonderful. They make you feel like royalty and really go above and beyond to make you feel spoiled. I get a mani and pedi each time. Lily and Julie take their time and talk to you. You’re not «talked about» in a different language. The spa is also clean and presentable. I’m going to be a customer for life!

White Rose is a new salon located in Vienna, VA. My friend and I loved our experience there. This is a small nail studio so going with large group may not be the best idea. The atmosphere is spa-​like and relaxing. The prices are really amazing for the services. My nails look great. They also have a lot of fun colors. The staff is friendly and helpful. What I appreciated most was the staffs attention to detail. This is not a 30 minute experience. I recommend giving yourself at least 1 hour. They don’t rush anyone and I appreciate that they took the time to make my nails look flawless. I will be coming back to have my nails done here soon!

Went back to use the second groupon and had a better waiting room experience. My appointment was properly scheduled (I called instead of using the online scheduler) and there was no issue getting started on time. I had the same older Chinese woman who did another excellent job on the manicure.
Be prepared to clear your schedule of at least two hours if you’re getting a mani/​pedi. I’ve been to some salons that somehow get a full mani/​pedi done in less than an hour but not this one. Once you’re seated in that massage chair the nail technician takes her time making sure each nail is done right– no matter how long it takes. Whether or not this is a good thing is up to you.
