Sugaring House Spas

After trying many different waxing and sugaring places in the Vienna/​Fairfax area, the Sugaring House finally got me to return to the same place every couple months. The rooms are clean and the staff are very polite and make you feel comfortable (even during some of the more uncomfortable/​unpleasant treatments). Each visit has been fast and thorough. I definitely recommend the Sugaring House Spa for your sugaring treatments!

First time here. Nita was excellent. I just moved to the area and this will be my go to spot. No complaints.

I had a first time sugaring appointment with Nita, and was happy with the service and result. It was quick and not quite as painful as expected. They do recommend popping a painkiller 30 mins prior to the appointment time, and I’m glad I did! The $ 49 first time deal is a good value, and there was minimal redness and blotchiness afterwards. I iced the area at home for 15 – 20 mins, and the redness was pretty much gone by the next day. I did notice a couple tiny baby hairs that were missed, so do confirm and ask for a final tweezing if you are very picky about your results.
A couple minor drawbacks:
–This place is a BEAR to find! I could not find the «decorating store» that other Unilocalers alluded to, nor could I see any signage in the plaza. I included a photo that will hopefully help others find this place. It is upstairs, above the dry cleaners /​valet. There are 5 reserved parking spots right in front of Sugaring House, directly after you turn off of Beulah Rd.
–The lobby is rather cramped and contains two small chairs, so be aware of that if you come with a friend or SO who wants to wait. However, the back area has a larger waiting area with a sofa and restroom, etc. and is much less claustrophobia inducing!

Called after reading the numerous five star reviews here on Unilocal.That is unheard of. My first time having my back sugared. It was painless. Rina’s cousin Nita is A+. She’s polite, nice and does a great job. I will go back for sure.

Don’t remember how I discovered Sugaring House, but it is great discovery indeed! Two tiny girls are doing amazing job: business is growing really quickly (they just moved to new bigger location) Once I tried waxing with Rina, bought membership and now go there as if it was my job :) the ambiance is very peaceful yet professional. Today I had an amazing facial with Nita for one hour, sidewise getting hand&feet massage. Yesterday it was Thai Massage first time in my life after which I could easily sit in meditation position. Was never able to sit in a lotus position before the Thai massage. In conclusion, I have to ask for promotion, because I want to leave all my money at Sugaring House.

This review is for the facial.
I went in on a weekday, and it took just a few minutes to fill out paperwork, get settled, etc. Nita is an absolute sweetheart! Let me add that I am currently nine months pregnant, and this pregnancy has wreaked havoc on my face. The brands they use are Artistry, Dr grandell, and Repechage. Though the products weren’t for sensitive skin, per say, it didn’t bother my ultra sensitive face. The facial was really relaxing (except the extraction, which can’t be helped), and my skin was so clear afterwards! I have these miserable bumps on my forehead, and after the facial, there were just red dots, which cleared up in a few days.
I had a facial at the Red Door Spa, and obviously the facilities cannot be compared, but sugaring house is way cheaper. And if you check in on Unilocal,you get 20% off. What a deal.

I have been waxing eyebrown and do facial with Rina since she started the business. Now she move to the bigger place. It is nice place and ofcourse good service as always. I will keep coming here and highly recommend. Love it!

Rina is just awesome! She is professional, efficiently quick, so incredibly sweet & has the ability to make an awkward situation seem like a chit chat session between friends! In addition to the warm and inviting studio, there’s convenient online scheduling, and specials for new/​repeat clients — just ask.

Pretty much the best experience I’ve had with waxing ever. My first time being sugar waxed and I will never go back to regular waxing. Rina is awesome! Talks to you the whole time so you don’t even realize the very little bit of pain that you’ve got going on. I will definitely be coming back monthly!

She is the one that runs it, I strictly come here for the wax.
She uses organic wax made out of brown sugar and lemon. I have a common problem of ingrown hairs that happen with normal wax or hard wax. But with this organic wax, my hair grows back softer, slower and NO ingrown hairs. Its absolutely amazing.
Whether it be the wax or Reinas technique, the wax is a lot less painful.
Great place, also does a great discount for reoccurring customers.

Second, Rina is great! She is very sweet and professional. She takes care of every small areas and is very careful. I moved to Northern Virginia for two and half years, Rina ‘s hair removal is the best! Highly recommended!

I went to the Sugaring House today because I had such a horrible experience last time with waxing. I heard that sugaring is less painful and it really is! They were very professional here and she explained to me what sugaring is and how it is beneficial. She helped keep me calm by talking throughout the Brazilian, and the whole process was very quick. It has only been a few hours and I already feel no pain what so ever. She wears gloves and doesn’t reuse any applicants like you would have to worry over for a regular wax, and the bet you rest on has towels and a removeable sheet to keep the whole place sanitary.
Like others have said note that the store is located downstairs on the side of the remodeling store. There will be a sign pointing downward to a salon that is very soothing and gorgeous inside.

I decided to give the Sugaring House a try, based off the great Unilocal reviews! Thank you soooo much! You all were right on with the reviews. Rina was very efficient and gentle and it was an overall great experience. The area is really clean, cute, and welcoming.
The whole thing took less than 30 minutes and Rina talked to me the whole time. I almost (I said almost) forgot what was going on. It is hair removal so you will feel a little nip every now and then, but it really was not that bad. I found my go-​to place with Rina and I am looking forward to my next visit.
If this is your first time there, she will gladly go over the options for return clients. The prices are reasonable if you are all about maintaining your body hair. Thanks Rina and my Unilocalers for all the leads.

This place is amazing. Rina just did my waxing and is she the best. She is professional and puts you at ease. Some people think this place is hard to find, but I didn’t have any trouble. Look for a small set of stairs next to the remodeling store. It’s in the same entrance as the salon. You can park in their spots right out front.
If you have ever wanted to try sugar waxing, this is the place to go. It’s so much better than regular waxing!

I had only ever done waxing on my eyebrows, so somehow I got the brilliant idea to get a brazilian. Crazy right?
I found Sugaring House on Unilocal and used the $ 49 Unilocal voucher. Because I had scoped out other reviews prior to going, finding the place wasn’t hard at all. Rina was very nice and welcoming. I let her know it was my first time and she didn’t bs me, she told me I would experience some pain. I was nervous about being undressed from the waist down and having my hoo ha in a strangers face but Rina made me feel very comfortable. It did hurt, but not as bad as I thought it would and Rina did a good job of distracting me with conversation. She made sure the temp of the sugar paste was ok and answered all my questions.
Afterwards she told me about the specials they do for repeat customers which are actually pretty reasonable. I’m going to see how the hair grows back before I decide if I want to continue to do regular brazilian waxes, but if I decide to continue to get them (I’m pretty sure I will) I will definitely come back here.

I have never been anywhere else for sugaring, yet I feel confident giving Sugaring House/​Rina five stars. The space is clean and nicely decorated, prices reasonable and the service is top-​notch. I feel very comfortable going to Rina and am pleased that her sugaring services are not only quick, but she does a great job (sometimes quick means sloppy, but that is not the case here!). As other reviewers have noted, she is friendly and very professional. She has never tried to sell me any products, but was happy to sell me one when I specifically asked if she had anything.
The fact that I can schedule appointments online is a Godsend. It is a smart business move to do this because sometimes people won’t go somewhere (doctor, hair salon, etc.) if making an appointment is a hassle.
Notes: Sometimes package deals are offered, so look out for those;Male clients wishing to get sugared ‘down there’ are accepted on a referral basis only; you can park in any of the spots for the salon since the sugaring space is connected to the salon; credit card tips are accepted (I do my best to tip in cash anyways).

Seriously, if could give Rina more than 5 stars, I would! Her work is virtually painless, and so quick! I was in and out in under 30 min for two procedures, which is awesome! I also do love being able to book online, as it’s really convenient. As long as I keep working in NoVA, I will be a loyal client!
P. S. She also has specials, so just ask for them!

RINA IS THEE SUGARING ANGEL FROM HEAVEN. I highly recommend this place, look no further. It was my first time ever to remove hair on my underarms (never waxed, just shaved) and «hooha». Like any other first timer, I was extremely nervous for the pain but it was unexpectedly the greatest experience! I have very sensitive skin, however I had NO uncomfortable itchy bumps that look like mosquito bites and NO irritation as I would with wax. There was an expected bumpy and slightly red appearance but that went away after a few hours.
Rina presents herself in a very professional manner and has this calming energy that calms you down, especially when she’s removing hair in the most sensitive areas of your body. She actually complimented me on my behavior because I wasn’t like most customers who twitch and are obnoxiously loud throughout the session. I found myself laughing and joking around with her to relax the mood even more!
I’m definitely coming back here. :)
