Nails Etc II

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am pretty sure the three incredibly rude women who work there knew this review was coming. I scheduled an appointment for a full set and removal and apparently they mistook what removal meant. Well they spent about 10 minutes trying to fuss at me for their scheduling error and they talked openly about it in another language with «full set» and «removal» thrown in there so that I would know what they were talking about. I was the only customer there while one women reluctantly took off my old set while the other two sat around complaining about the removal. After several minutes of the worst nail salon experience of my life, I told them that I would just do the removal and get the full set done somewhere else. I honestly wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. I have never been treated so badly before while paying for a service! They offered for me to come back, but I told them that I would prefer to go somewhere else and that I could understand what they were saying the whole time. One of them came over again to say they didn’t know that removal meant removal and again offered for me to come back another day (who honestly would ever come back after this experience). I would NEVER return there even if they had offered free manicures and pedicures forever. No wonder they are located in a run down strip mall. I was ultimately gven the Unilocal deal for the 30 minutes of torture that I spent there (yes they had the nerve to charge me).
I was looking for a new nail place in the area after moving and this will most certainly not be it. I ended up going down the street to a much nicer salon that gladly got me in when I explained what happened at this nail shop of horrors.

We just moved here and found this salon on Unilocal!I got a manicure for my daughter and I got a pedicure. The ladies were very thorough and very nice. We enjoyed it being very close to our house and that it was discounted M-​W. The Unilocal coupon was great as well! I did have to call as I was on the wrong end of church St so make sure you are headed to NE Church St. We will go again.

I love this salon! They were able to fit me in on my schedule and did a great job on both my manicure and pedicure. I got the gel manicure and love it so much I will be switching over to it going forward. It helps that they have discount days on Mon, Tues and Wed. and I used the Unilocal coupon on a non-​discount day. This is a clean and relaxing place.

This place is a hidden gem! Combo of great prices, customer service and quality work! The ladies are so welcoming and sweet. I got a gel mani and regular pedi for $ 55. The massage portion was so relaxing and my nails are ON POINT! Can’t wait to go back :)

Very relaxing… best kept secret; this salon is located in the building lower level with plenty of parking before the auto store.

I recently went to this place and used $ 20 shellac mani coupon. It’s a great price!
The technician did a good job, only thing is she buffed my nails too much. I don’t know if that’s typical of a shellac mani, as this was the first time I got it done. I think the only thing they need to seriously work on is the lighting in the salon. While picking color, there’s so less light and that too yellow light, which can change the look of the color inside.
4 stars is Cz of friendly staff and good job by the tech! Lighting they need to work on in my opinion.

Have not had luck with finding a good nail place but this place was wonderful! I was taken care of right away and Lily was awesome. She helped me pick out a color perfect for me and made my nails look so natural and was so pleasant to chat with during our time. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice, no frills nail salon. I won’t call it a relaxing pedicure exactly, but the technician was efficient and thorough, and I’m really happy with how long the pedicure has lasted so far. I had to leave after 10 minutes of drying and they insisted that I walk out wearing the Styrofoam sandals, since I had closed-​toe shoes and «10 minutes was not long enough to dry» — that was a nice touch.
Prices were pretty reasonable, too.

I’ve been there twice and I must say they are the best I’ve found in this area. The younger girl has did my nails (shellac) and toes twice and I’m very satisfied. I’m very picky when it comes to my nails and I have nothing bad to say about them. They got me In and out in a reasonable time (went during the week in the daytime). Not to mention their prices are reasonable compared to everywhere else! I really like them!!!

Love this place! They all do a great job! I’ve been to almost every nail place in Vienna and my nails last about a week longer when I go here.

I sat in the chair for 10 min while my nail tech tried to explain their deal over the phone to someone who could understand it, much in the same way I couldn’t understand her explanation of how they sanitize their instruments. Apparently, this place uses barbicide to «sanitize» not an autoclave; which means its not actually sterile. Also, you have to pay $ 2 extra for a new foot pumice. I’m sorry, but I don’t feel that I should have to pay extra for not acquiring a fungal infection like its a luxury.
Their color selection is very small and everything is old (new polish lasts a lot longer).
you get what you pay for, right? $ 25 for a pedicure.

Went here today after discovering that I had an expired Groupon to use. Everything went fine and the young lady that did my pedicure was really nice and attentive. She did a good job. We made small talk and I told her that I found them through Groupon and would be using it today for the amount that I paid for it. She said okay. Fast forward to payment time, I give this same lady my Groupon from my phone and she tells me she’ll be right back and takes it to the other lady there. A couple minutes later, the other lady comes out explaining to me that I have to pay full price for my services because they are no longer in contract with Groupon and have not been for a year. I explained to her that business is business and if they were no longer accepting Groupons then some type of sign should have been displayed or my nail tech should have told me so. She said the nail tech is new. I’m sorry but that is no excuse. After going back and forth with her about how the Groupon CLEARLY states that the amount paid NEVER EXPIRES I finally went ahead and paid the full price and left the establishment. She insisted that I contact Groupon for a refund because Groupon won’t pay them if they honored my Groupon voucher. She then went on to say that Groupon is always being sued for this type of stuff. I have been using Groupon for years and haven’t had any major issues. I feel that her saying that was a cop out. They just really wanted full price payment. I mean hey, why not make more off tye customer than what they paid for originally? Just awesome! Maybe it was because I didnt want the hot stone pedicure and shellac nails my tech kept trying to push on to me. She was a good tech but she lost me when she tried to lie about pricing. It clearly states three types of pedicures but she said there are only two. Thats ultimately why i went with the regular one. Other managers would have at least gave me a discount and marked it as redeemed for the inconvenience and miscommunication. I was thoroughly upset and if I had of known that I would end up paying full price I would have gotten a pedicure around the corner from my place in Fairfax instead of driving all the way to Vienna. I’ll never return to this place. I gave two stars because I like my pedicure but other than that, the experience was horrible. Bad business practicies. I am contacting Groupon first thing tomorrow! Someone owes me a refund!

Super relaxing — I am telling you, but mold with that massage chair. It’s super relaxing.
I have been to several nail salons and I dislike the fact that these ladies (at other places) totally mess you up and are not careful with your nails… etc
Nails Etc II — it does a fan-​tastic job, I promise!

This review will be a combination of both visits! The first time I came, it was before my wedding so both of my moms joined me and it was great!!! I loved their techniques and they were very nice. They offered us soda or water as we got our pedicures! We all received the Shellac manicures and everything turned out great!
On my second visit, I came to get a pedi and mani. My pedi was just OK but my mani was not so great. The nail polish used was so thick (could use a little acetone to thin it out). Even after me sitting there for twenty minutes to allow my hands to dry using their fan, as soon as I got out the car at home, my mani was officially ruined. I must have touched something because the polish was pushed back on my nails. I had to remove all four coats of polish (not including the base and top coat) and re-​polish my own hands. Typically, I do not have to wait 35 min for my nails to dry (which was the elapsed time this visit). Maybe I will just stick to Shellac or check the nail polish myself next time. Still four stars!

Came here with M looking for pre-​July 4^th pedicures. We were able to book 2 pedicures at 7pm (call in advance if you want a specific time as they only have 3 technicians) the night before.
Nails Etc II is a little dingy, location wise, and upon walking in it is very small and not the most upscale nail place I’ve ever been, causing us some concern initially. BUT, for $ 25, I felt it was a very thorough, meticulous pedicure that felt like a bargain and left me a happy customer.
We opted for the basic pedicures, though I noted that with a check-​in on the Unilocal app for just a few bucks more we could have done the hot stone pedicure (thanks Unilocal). The polish selection was solid but not expansive — if you have a particular color in mind or want something aside from your typical OPI selection (they only had about 10 or so Essie colors) you might want to bring your own polish.
They have massage chairs and foot baths, which I like, so I relaxed into my chair as my pedicurist got to work. She used a razor upon my request and very, very carefully smoothed out all of my feet. She thoroughly cleaned, shaped, filed, and buffed my toes and then with minimal pain trimmed my cuticles and scrubbed my feet and legs with an exfoliant. Finished with lots of moisturizer and and oil and a hot cloth, my feet felt (and still feel) super smooth. My toes were carefully polished and then we were left to chat and dry for as long as we wanted, despite being their last appointments of the day. I was happily only $ 30 poorer and left with perfect feet.
If they only had a nicer space I might up it to 5 stars, but if you’re ok with less of a spa experience, Nails Etc II is high quality with friendly and meticulous staff.

I decided to drop in to this little joint for a mani-​pedi. There was only one woman in there and two technicians. The ladies were very nice and tried to be accommodating. I opted for the shellac gel mani-​pedi for $ 60 — I’m not sure whether this is considered the going rate. I wanted to get a design on my nails as well, but only one lady knew how to do them and she was busy with someone who needed body waxing. I could either wait another 20 mins or return to their store later. I opted out, as I had already been there for 2 hours. Tina did a wonderful job, she took her time and did not rush anything. I just wished she was able to do nail designs herself.
Although there is a language barrier and I think the shellac gel mani-​pedi is expensive, Tina did a really good job. I will come back again and see how good their nail designer is.

I cannot wait to return!!! I used a Groupon Daily Deal today, $ 56 for a deluxe facial and upper-​body hot stone massage. It was hands down one of the best hours of my adult life.
Cathy has the gentlest hands for giving facials, my face wasn’t even puffy and red after the treatment! Incredible!
The hot stone massage was my first, so I’ll say the stones are definitely hot, but cool down enough to be very pleasurable after a couple strokes. And it is more Swedish than deep tissue, so don’t expect anything more than long, luxurious strokes.
I will absolutely be returning, for the relaxation alone. It is definitely a hole-​in-​the-​wall, so don’t expect the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa here, folks. Be realistic and you’ll have a great experience.
