History

Established in 1978.

Since 1978, the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Northern Virginia, A clinic made up of a small, family-like staff, has a staple in the Vienna community as the place for after hours pet care. On June 1, 2002, EVC opened its doors with the intention of never closing. We also expanded our services by offering specialists in Surgery, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. With this growth in services, we quickly outgrew our building on Maple Avenue. With the intention of soon leaving our current building behind, it was felt that we also needed to reevaluate who we wanted to be in the community. Based on our desire to provide a calming voice in a crisis as well as complete treatment options for almost any condition, on November 1, 2005 we renamed our hospital The Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine. We opened our new hospital at 140 Park Street SE in 2008. The building combines every Hope Center department and includes additional services such as Oncology and CT Scanning.

I am proud to work for such a wonderful group of caring individuals. I see their best when the situation is at its worst. They take caring for your pet as seriously as they would care for their own and you will see that compassion from the moment you walk through our doors.

We at take every critique earnestly and encourage you to contact us directly if you have concerns over your visit via phone or email.
