I am a former professional mechanic. Frames is the ONLY shop I trust. I especially like it that I can actually speak with the mechanic who does the work. There is absolutely zero needless/​opportunistic «up-​selling» at this shop. Frames fixes the stuff that needs fixing, and ONLY fixes the stuff that needs fixing. Prices are very reasonable. This is a very busy shop. Make an appointment for service.

Bill is very ethical and knowledgable. Repairs to our Honda CRV were done well in a reasonable timeframe. He was busy but also accommodating, allowing me to drive in without an appointment after my starter was on its last start. For anyone needing automotive services from someone trustworthy, Frames is a very good choice.

Bill is very knowledgeable about cars and shares his knowledge with his customers. He shows you what needs to be fixed, how and why. He tells you if it’s urgent or you can wait. And, his prices are more than reasonable. He doesn’t overcharge or make you feel like you’ve just been swindled. He’s an honest man providing honest good service. I feel like I’m taken care of when I take my car there and am not worried I’m being over charged or will be leaving there with some other problem. Great service at great prices! Wish all mechanics were like Bill Frames!!!

Unfortunately I had a screw in the tire of my new car. The dealer told me the tire wasn’t fixable and that I’d need a new tire. I called Frames and they made time for me to evaluate. On a busy day they squeezed me in and out within 30 mins. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of my repair and the tremendous customer service.

Bill is a great mechanic. I can always count on him to be honest and not charge for things I don’t need.

Bill Frame is an absolute genius when it comes to diagnosis and repair. He has diagnosed two particular problems that could have cost me thousands and fixed them for a fraction of that. Couldn’t be happier!

These guys are awesome! They take the time to determine EXACTLY what you need based on their years of experience and expertise. Dave is always ready to assist with the logistics of getting your vehicle «fixed». Bill is extremely knowledgable about all makes & models, and is a straight shooter with his recommendations.
They have been super in keeping our GMC Yukon Hybrid and VW Bettle in tip-​top shape. The best part is they have always been fair and consistent.
This is the place to take your vehicles… they KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

Bill is skilled, trustworthy, friendly, and simply does what you want a car service to do, get the job done and at a reasonable price. I took my BMW there to replace the valve stems after Costco broke them installing tires causing my TPM to go off erroneously. They did it for ¹⁄₃ of the price of the dealership. I am hesitant to recommend them so I don’t have any issues in getting an appointment. These guys are great, especially if you have a BMW or Acura. I can validate their skill and reasonable price for repairs on both these models.

The dealer told me I needed a $ 1500 repair, I wanted a second opinion so took it to Bill and Frames Auto and he diagnosed it in 30 seconds (power steering fluid) put some in for FREE and it was fixed, sound went away, problem solved!!! I am going back next week for oil change and tire rotation! If they keep up this service I will never take any of our cars anywhere else!

Quite possibly one of the most honest, dedicated, and hard working businesses I’ve worked with. I trust them implicitly and they have saved us thousands of dollars. Can’t say enough good things about this place, other than to recommend them to anyone with car trouble.

Man, do we miss Bill and company! We were fortunate to have Bill’s great knowledge and reliable service for nearly 3 years before we had to move out of state. Finding someone like Bill (and company!) work on your vehicle is a stroke of luck. Striking gold twice is impossible! I would recommend Bill and crew to anyone for any car.

This place is wonderful! Easily the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with car repairs. A couple days ago, I took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Almost immediately after, I noticed a rattling sound in the engine every time I stopped. The next day, on my way home from work, the check engine, VSC, and TRAC OFF lights all came on. I immediately called Frames. Bill answered the phone, despite it being after their closing time. He told me I could drop my car off that evening and he would look at it in the morning. I thought I was going to be without a car all weekend. But by 10 am Saturday morning, the repairs were done. Bill even topped off my fluids at no charge.
This place was such a wonderful find! The prices are great, the people are friendly, and I never feel like I’m being pushed to pay for unnecessary services. The work is done quickly, but it is also done well. Couldn’t ask for a better auto shop.

Like other reviews, my family and I have been going to Frames for decades. The best and most honest guy in the business. HANDS DOWN. It’s like getting sage advice from your family or best friend. As I am very willing to drive from Ashburn to Great Falls and now Vienna to have my cars serviced by Frames, you know it’s worth it. He’s worked on our Nissan, Acura, BMW, Honda — so can service all makes. Bill runs a professional shop, totally honest, reasonably priced. Bill always gives great advice and recommendations on your vehicle, and you always feel he puts the customer first. Agree with previous reviewers, highly recommended.

Whenever you move to a new city, one of the biggest things you miss are all your old trusted places, like a car repair shop.
I am so fortunate I found Frames within 2 months of living in Northern Virginia. I’m training clients and consulting for Healthy Investment right next store and needed my emissions and safety tests done for registration. Also, I needed an oil change. The guys in there are so friendly and helpful. They clearly explained what my car needed and how much it would cost.
Very reasonable rates as well. I am now a loyal Frames Automotive customer.

Went to Bill Frames at the recommendation of a previous neighbor, and couldn’t have been more pleased. Not only is Bill extremely personable, but he is also a good businessman. As a woman in my mid-​20s with little car knowledge, Bill kept me in the loop about the work that was being done on my car, and the price range the work would fall in. Additionally, my car needed autobody work but I had not had time to collect quotes and figure out who I wanted to have the work done with. Bill went out of his way to recommend a friend and had a quote waiting for me when I came back to pick up my car. I recommend this shop to all!

Whenever I have a friend or coworker with car trouble, I send them to Bill. My neighbors growing up and parents have been going to him for years and have countless stories of times Bill has found solutions to automotive issues that others couldn’t or were asking way too much money to solve. I’ve been living in Arlington for the past few years and don’t think twice about making the trip out to Vienna. He’s a wealth of knowledge and simply the best — and you don’t feel like you’ve been cheated after paying the bill.
