I was at VB Brewery next door and it was suggested to order food from Bernardos. Walked in and wasn’t blown away by the place but figured I would try. I got a calzone with pepperoni and sausage. They delivered it to me at the brewery and it was HUGE! Very tasty and a ton of food for very decent price. Will go back. Wish they would make the place appear a little cleaner/up to date though.

The hidden secret is that they have the best buffalo chicken wings in the area. The Italian salad is also excellent. Fast service — great place to go.

Had probably the best thick crust, pepperoni pizza I’ve eaten in a long time. Very good, and very filling.

This place is pretty bad. The inside of the building is gross — looks like it was ripped from the 70s, complete with 40+ years of dirt and grime. The food is mediocre at best. Their pizza is awful, no question about that — although I will admit the subs I’ve gotten from here are pretty decent. At least when compared to the garbage they serve at Subway. The subs here are just not on par with the sandwiches you get from Dibella’s or Amiel’s. By the way, if you’ve never had a Dibella’s sub, you don’t know what you’re missing! However, the thing that totally soured me on Bernardo’s is the rudeness by the owners and staff. Clearly customer service is not their strong point. The first time they overcharged me by $ 2.00. When I questioned the bill, they basically said too bad, that’s what it costs. Tail between my legs, I paid and left. Don’t know why I ever returned, but a year later 2 buddies and I visited them again for lunch. What a mistake. Waited 25 minutes for a couple slices of cold pizza and my friend’s sub was delivered on stale bread. When he politely brought up the issue to the owner, he got yelled at! Suffice it to say, we’ll never go back. I can’t understand how this place even stays in business! What. A. Dump.

I grew up in Victor during the 1970’s. Bernardos was the only pizza place in town. Over the years, I always thought Bernardo’s Pizza and Subs were the best and never could find Pizza and subs as good as theirs. I began to wonder if it was as good as I remembered or was it that the rare Pizza and Sub night were special occasions spent with friends and/or family. On two recent visits to Victor, I decided that I was going to have to try them IF they still existed. Although ownership may have changed, the recipes are still pretty much the same and the food brought back fond memories of Saturday night sleepovers and yes, I still think the have the best Pizza and Best Subs. I was glad to see that a large Pizza is still a large pizza — larger than a Domino’s or Pizza Hut. The subs have a crusty crust and a chewy interior and you get a decent amount of meat on it — not like Subway which in my mind is a salad on a bun. I am glad to see that they are still in business in a world of franchises it is amazing that they survived. I know anytime I go back to the area — Bernardo’s will be on the list of places to eat
