They showed up on time and quickly. I was first handed a waiver that stated they are not responsible for any damage that occurs to the vehicle. This is the first time I have ever been handed a form like this for a tow service. The two that showed up were obviously very new; for one of them it may have even been his first time. He could not find the proper location to attach the winch hook to so he chose to hook it to the hitch. I was worried that this point was too high and the winch would eventually start to pull down too much on the hitch and could possibly damage or bend it. They decided it was good enough right before I could tell them I was uncomfortable with it. They put the chains up front and then started to ratchet the back. When I noticed they were confused that the chains up front were not getting tight, I had to remind them that it is probably in park. They switched it to neutral and the vehicle sprung backwards. Hopefully I won’t need a new parking pawl any time soon(which also was a term that was foreign to the driver). He said they do that all the time. Then to top it all off when they dropped the vehicle off at its destination, they locked it and took the key with them. This delayed the shop by 2 – 3 hours.
