Amita’s Xpress Spa

I get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded once every month and a half/​two months. I have always been very happy. My suggestion is to speak up if you want something fixed. They fix it immediately.

Skin seems to be permanently darkened only in the places that were treated by this spa. In some places, there is a sharp drop in color (from dark olive to light olive color). I haven’t stepped out of the house without needing corrective make-​up since coming here.

It’s a little bit of a hike out here, but it’s worth it to me. The name of the woman I see is escaping me, but she told me she only works Sundays and Mondays, so I always try to plan a trip out to the mall on those days when I need my eyebrows threaded. I’ve had hit or miss experiences at this salon, but since I’ve been seeing this one woman, I’ve been very pleased. She’s quick, thorough, polite, and my eyebrows always look great when she’s finished. For $ 12, how can you go wrong?

Not sure what happened with the previous reviewer, but I just had a great experience. It is a little bit pricier than other places in Upstate New York ($ 12 vs. $ 10), but if’s Eastview Mall — what do you expect?
My brows were done quickly and without issue. Not much more you can ask for. I’ll definitely be returning.

I was in town for a wedding and needed to stop by the mall to get a few items. I happened to park nearby and desperately needed a threading. It was first thing in the morning on a Saturday. I got lucky since no one was really in the mall just yet. Nita helped me immediately upon walking in. I got a threading for my eyebrows, chin and upper lip. I didn’t have much to get done just a touch up really. She finished fairly quickly but I didn’t think anything of it. She had another customer come in as she started working on me and I think that rushed the entire session. She ended up not really finishing but I couldn’t tell by the lighting of the chair until I actually got outside into the mall. She had missed parts on my chin and eyebrows. On top of that, she charged me $ 30 for it all when it normally costs me less than $ 25 in my city. She was incredibly rude as well. She asked me questions about where I was from and if my obvious lesbian partner was my friend. She then didn’t allow me to ask her any questions which I thought was weird. After I walked out and noticed she had missed spots, I had to go back to my hotel room and pluck. Not sure if this was even worth it to begin with. I would not come back here again — she does a half ass job.
