Uzma’s Threading Place

I have been going to Uzma for 10 years — also back when she started with her little stand at Hawthorn Mall, when the line would always be a mile long of people waiting to see her, like she’s Santa Claus or something. I have tried many other places and nobody does them as beautifully and as painless as her. I would definitely follow her anywhere. In fact, I moved to AZ 5 years ago and I still make trips back to IL to get my eyebrows done by her because she surpasses by leaps and bounds anybody else — even in other states. I always call before I go to make sure Uzma will be there.
She is also one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life! She pretty quickly, 10 years ago, started treating me like family or a really good friend. She is always really interested in what’s going on in your life and genuinely cares about you and wants tohelp you if you need help with anything. She has given me so much advice throughout the past 10 years on life, jobs, money, everything. She always remembers you when you walk in — your name and everything — and asks about your family, etc.
She is one very special woman and I would definitely tell anybody to go here and see her for your threading services! It doesn’t get any better than her.

First off, I have a difficult time getting my eyebrows done since they are so thick with coarse hair. This was definitely a great experience! No redness or swelling afterward and my eyebrows came out naturally shaped. Highly recommend.

Second time coming here and hoped for a better experience. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was dead. The woman who helped us was more concerned about texting on her phone then to help us in the first 5 minutes. Doesn’t ask questions and doesn’t apply lotion afterward. A bit too pricey too. Find a different place.

I have been going to Uzma for 7 years. Ever since her little stand at the Hawthorn mall. She is absolutely amazing with eyebrows. I am very picky with eyebrows! I have been to other places (because she was on vacation and I couldnt wait) and its so painful!!! She is very quick and shapes beautifully. The only time I have noticed my eyebrows are a bit thin it’s when I forget to say «just clean them up.» Nothing beats having an almost painless experience in my opinion.

It’s really expensive especially when I always like to tip the person threading. If you cannot get Uzma, the other lady is slow and pulls real slow like plucking out your eyebrows in slow mo! Ouch! The area is clean. I didn’t like how Uzma made my eyebrows too thin. So I am not sure about giving this place another try.

Terrible service. I have frequented this in the past, only because it is close to where I live and expensive compared to other places ($ 35 full face threading, other places charge $ 20– 25) I am at a point now where I am totally fed up. The place to begin with is very dirty, the washrooms are deplorable. It never was this bad when it first opened, but has gone downhill ever since.
The only person who is licensed is the owner. Many times I have noticed people wait for the owner instead of the assistant. I have seen a couple of times she is on the phone (cradling the phone between her ear and shoulder) and continuing to thread! Where is your focus woman?
I called this past Friday, and tried to make an appointment for 6pm. A woman, who I suspect is the owner says she is available till 7pm and told me a appointment was not necessary. I arrive at 5:45pm, and guess what the store was CLOSED. Wasted my time for no reason. This was the last straw. Never again will I spend a single dollar at this place. I will never go back EVER.

I was a little nervous about entrusting my eyebrows to a place with so few reviews (and not so good ones, at that) but I’m glad I came. Definitely don’t come here expecting friendly service but I don’t really care as long as my brows look good. I had my brows done within 5 minutes. I think I waited longer in line to have them done. The price was a little high but it’s near my house and I don’t care to drive any further for $ 6 threading since it would cost the difference in gas.

Uzma did a wonderful job and was so friendly. I was a walk-​in, but now I’ll be a regular. Open, airy reception area; Prompt Service; Fast Checkout.

At first I was a little hesitant with the setting, but the outcome was great! Uzma did it under 10 minutes, and my eyebrows look awesome! It was a clean environment, and very good prices. All in all I thought it was a great place for threading.

I was in the area for business and desperately needed to get my eyebrows done. Uzma’s was clean, fast and friendly. I walked in a few minutes before 11am on a Wednesday and there was no wait. By the time I was done there for 4 people waiting! It is a little bit more expensive than my usual place but $ 10 for eyebrows isn’t terrible and they did a great job. I will return!
