Thanks to families like yours, Rainbow Play Systems has grown from a small custom shop in Minnesota to a high-​tech swing set manufacturing facility. Today, there are more than one million Rainbow Play Systems swing sets in backyards around the world.

Our Vernon Hills, Illinois Store

Our huge indoor showrooms are located in Vernon Hills, Willowbrook, Lake in the Hills and Naperville. Illinois’ first store opened in Highland Park in 1989, followed by our other stores. In 2000 we moved the Highland Park facility to our own 20,000 square foot building in Vernon Hills which also holds our main warehouse. Since our focus is only on swing sets you can rely on our expert sales staff to help you find the right set for you and your family. We deliver, install and move sets all year long. Rain or shine we invite you to see in person all we have to offer. It is the fun place to shop.

Beware of the «lifetime warranty.»
The product is not so bad, but when you need the warranty, they will tell you that you neglected the set and the «instructions clearly state that you need to take care of it.»
So, if it sounds to be too good, it probably is.
I sent photos of the set and that was enough for them to deny the warranty. Bummer.

Joanie was awesome! She went above and beyond expectations when helping me with a replacement swing seat. She was responsive and courteous and even had the new seat sent to a different location that was more convenient for me. Thanks for the wonderful service!

This is a showroom. However they sold play passes on Groupon to get people to come check out the showroom. The woman complained so horribly while we were there that we just wanted to tell her to shut up.
We weren’t responsible for the fact that they sold so many Groupons to play at the showroom and quite honestly should have just sucked it up when it didn’t work out they wanted to rather than complain to potential customers.
Visiting did confirm that our kids love the play systems but although my boys wanted to stay my husband and I couldn’t wait to get away from the sales lady.

The playsets design structure is great and you pay for it but my set is 2yrs old and the so called 10srep water proofing didn’t hold up so well. I have a lot of large cracks in the lumber wherever the stain has gone and its not just heavy traffic areas. My neighbour bough a much cheaper set that honestly has held much better though the lumber is smaller his finish has lasted and no cracks comparable to mine which all occur where stain failed. One thee item is that installation fast but installers are unintelligible.

I ordered a group on from here for my kids. They indicated they only allow kids to use their equipment during using groupons. They should definitely open their showroom all the time. Its a great place. Imagine being able to backyard hop to each of your neighborhood’s different playground equipment. I went with my kids and met up with my cousin and her daughter. It’s an awesome place. We had a great time. I have a couple of more groupons I have to use over the next few weeks so we will definitely be back. They have three more locations in the Chicago area.

OK, they are expensive. .. but WOW! I think I want to be a kid again. I just took my kids to their indoor playground (s). I could not get them to leave! The sales person, Jim, was very nice and extremely information. There was no pressure at all. They systems seem very well built and extremely sturdy. We have done a ton of research and need a swingset/​playset for kids of multiple ages. I like that you can continue to add on to these sets as the kids get bigger.
The investment is well worth it. They are offering fee installation now too, so it make it a little more reasonable (OK maybe just a little).
