History

Established in 2014.

Caped Crusader Consulting was founded in 2014 by Melinda Gronen (a licensed clinical social worker) and Harold Rollins, Jr. (a juvenile law enforcement professional). Melinda and Harold have been dedicated to responding to incidents of child abuse and organizational safety issues for over 15 years in their primary professional roles. Caped Crusader Consulting was started due to Melinda and Harold’s mission to PREVENT child abuse and other child safety issues. We work with organizations, schools, and parents to customize dynamic trainings and provide the tools, skills, and protocols necessary to prevent and effectively respond to child safety issues. We are passionate about working to ensure all children are safe and happy and will support your organization in becoming «Super Advocates for Kids»!

Meet the Business Owner

Melinda G. and Harold R.

Business Owner

Melinda is a licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience working as a child and family advocate, developing and evaluating programs that positively impact children and families, and training staff and community members on how to keep kids safe. Melinda provides counseling to children who have experienced trauma, loss of a parent, or child abuse. Melinda also teaches several courses to graduate students of social work at the University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Erikson Institute.

Harold is a juvenile law enforcement professional with over 15 years of experience in community policing. Harold holds a number of prominent positions that encompass leading complex juvenile investigations, providing staff and community trainings across the country, and developing/​implementing action plans for school safety. Harold is a three time recipient of the Officer of the Year award and is a dedicated community volunteer.
