I saw Dr. McGuire for painful ingrown toenails. She permanently removed the painful ingrown toenails with an acid treatment and my feet have felt great ever since. I can now run without pain.

Today I called to make an appointment with dr. Mcguire and the staff MARGARET was very rude over the phone, at first she seemed accommodating, but when it came time to schedule an appointment she was rushing me, throwing out days and times and not allowing me to give my availability as well. Everybody had a different schedule so it shouldn’t be her way or the highway, she was like I need to schedule you and can’t continue going thru the schedule book without ever asking what would be a good time for me, which is what she should of done in the first place. I also work in the medical field and have never been treated so poorly. Its too bad I won’t be able to meet Dr. Mcguire I am sure she is great at her job. First impressions sure do say a lot.

Dr. McGuire at Pacific Foot & Ankle Care is an outstanding physician — combining the very best of knowledgeable professionalism and a caring «beside manner» — her empathy and concern for your well being are evident. She explains what she is doing and why and made me feel comfortable immediately. When you are scared and hurting, there is nothing better.
The office building is quite modest, but don’t let that dissuade you. There is ample parking in the rear lot, you don’t need to park right on Loma Vista. The office is conveniently across the street from Community Memorial Hospital. The physicians are excellent and the office staff is efficient and caring. The office manager is somewhat strict, but in a wonderful way. She wants you to be healthy as much as the doctors do. You have to play by the rules — be on time, pay your co-​pay, follow the doctor’s directions, etc.
I dropped in with x-​rays after a holiday weekend, needing to be seen for a very bad fall. I didn’t really expect to be seen that day (was only hoping to have the x-​rays reviewed) but Dr. McGuire gave up her lunch hour to review my x-​rays and see me right away. After two trips to the ER, she was the first to really grasp the severity of my injury and take adequate measures to begin the healing process.

There seem to be several other physicians in the practice but I’m not quite sure how they relate to each other. It doesn’t seem possible to call for one, and get scheduled with another which doesn’t quite make sense to me. There is at least one member of the office staff who speaks Spanish — helpful for patients with limited or no English language skills. If you are in need of care for your feet or ankles, I would look no further than Dr. McGuire. I have no reason to think the other physicians at that location are not also excellent choices but I haven’t met them.

Dr. McGuire is absolutely the best doctor I have ever visited. I recently injured my Achilles’ tendon and have been blown away by the level of treatment this facility offers.

Dr. McGuire is the absolute BEST podiatrist in Ventura county!!! I have been to 4 other podiatrists since I’ve lived in the area. I can tell you, hands down, she is superior to any of the other ones. She is extremely thorough, very professional, and explains everything in detail. I wish I had found her years ago, and spared myself the agony of poor orthodics, impersonal doctors and unprofessional staff. This office is fantastic and Dr. McGuire is truly the best. Save your feet and see her!

Dr. McGuire has been a pleasure to see for my foot woes. She thoroughly examines and then explains in easy terms, what is going on with my pain and discomfort. She offers multiple ways to go about relieving the issue and associated pain. I ended up needing foot surgery to correct hammertoes and the experience was super easy, pain free and my overall foot health has dramatically improved since the procedure. Having feet that are without pain is a necessity and Dr. McGuire is excellent at delivering the best care options to improve the lives of her patients. Thank you!

Dr. Heather McGuire, DPM, was raised in Ventura, CA. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara followed by her doctorate in podiatric medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in 2008. She then completed her surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara, where she served as Chief resident. She is trained in all aspects of foot and ankle pathology including common foot aliments, diabetes, trauma, sports medicine, and reconstructive surgery.
