great place to put your feet up and have some ice cold beer, can’t wait for NFL to watch some games!

Great hidden lil Gem near my house! Pool tables, shuffle board, darts, arcade & more! Gets busy on weekends and during the week its a local crowd. The bar staff is awesome! I wish they had food, but occasionally a local Warrior will cook something up for the crowd! Great place to watch sports on the big clean couches or just grab a random drink on a random day from a cool bartender & play some games!

For a neighborhood bar, this place is decent. Met up with a friend and her fiancé for a few rounds of margaritas for National Margaritas Day. She invited us to meet here at this dive bar, which is an very interesting spot that has old school video games, darts, pool tables and TVs. When you walk in, there might be a slightly awkward feeling because the local, regulars stare you down because they know you aren’t normally from here and you stand out. Once the initial stare down is done they mind there business and carry on with their conversations. Would I go back for second time, probably not. This place is truly a «locals» spot, that’s meant for locals(aka people that live nearby) not for personable, outgoing people like me and my friends… Plus the bar music they play is old, not classic.

I’ve been coming to this bar for years. It’s my favorite spot. It’s truly a hidden Jewel. Cheers comes to mind whenever I think about O’leary’s. Anytime you go in there your sure to find someone you know and strike up a conversation. I’m actually getting married in a couple of weeks and this was the first place I thought of to have our after party. Me and my soon-to-be wife love this place. A lot of good memories here. We even had our first date here. However lately it has felt less like home. It’s under new ownership and I have to say that the new owner has done a lot of good things to revamp the place. From another pool table to new dartboards and remodeling those old nasty bathrooms. And the Friday night live karaōke is great. But like the old saying goes don’t try and reinvent the wheel. The Tuesday comedy night is big flop. The only thing that is funny about it is how terrible it is. Once it started I couldn’t stay more than 30mins. No one wants to come to a local bar like this and hear that. I would go to the comedy club if I did. People want to play pool and darts and listen to great music. It takes the whole feel of what a dive bar should be away. That goes for Saturday nights as well. They did used to have live bands but they made room for it in the past like moving the main pool table away. This isn’t a bar down on Main Street. It’s local dive bar. And while I understand you have to get new clientele in there. Remember that your not located downtown. You’ll get the big young crowds on the Saturdays but at what cost. You still have to count on your regulars Monday-Thursday. And on the bartenders that serve them. If they stop showing up. So will the bartenders. Then there will be a revolving door among bartenders. And for anyone who is a regular at any bar. Isn’t that’s the reason of choosing a certain spot where you like to have a cocktail is because of the bartenders not changing every 6 months. As someone who has been in the service industry I can see what is starting to happen. The young 20yr old crowd is starting to come in. And while that’s fine because they spend money. They also drive out your regulars and don’t know how to tip. The Point of this review is. I love this bar and will continue to come. I just hope it doesn’t change too much. Because I don’t really like to go downtown for a drink. That’s why I come here.

Ive been here twice now and its one of my new favorite bars in the area. They have one pool table, a dart board, a few TV’s. Thursday nights they have pool tournaments. Everyone is always nice, last night someone bought me a shot of Jameson«just because» ha-ha.

This place was annoyingly difficult to find for us using waze the first go around. It is somewhere in or around the Kaiser health center in a spot you would not expect a bar to be. It is too bad they are so hidden as it is a really cute and fun place and would get more business I am sure, if people could spot it from the road. They had a nice selection of beer on tap and no food, but munchies you could purchase. They had something like Touch Tunes but a different system(Jukebox) that you could play and people were playing some good music. They had pool tables and the bar was nice and long. We enjoyed a couple of beers here on a lazy Saturday afternoon. We would definitely return if in the area.

Came here with a date and it was lively and fun for a Saturday night. Tucked away in a business center, it’s within walking distance to my apartment and will definitely be my first choice in weekend haunts. Well drinks mixed strong and smiles with service. Yes Please!

Best god damn bar ever. Its my 2nd home. Wish they allowed dogs. Its clean… drinks are cheap for Cali and they are made right. Every bar tender has a different personality n is awesome. Food service would take this place to the next level but they have no space…

It’s the diviest of dive bars and I mean that as much as a compliment as I can. The bartenders are very nice and quick with the beers, and if you come in a few times they’ll recognize you. They have air hockey which is really cool, shuffleboard(which the scoring is broken on so it’s apparently free?) and dartboards. The dartboards are the plastic type unfortunately but they do have a good automatic scoring system and the dart area is way too close to the seating for real metal darts anyway. There’s a pretty good assortment of beers on tap(everything you’d expect plus a few CA craft beers) and they aren’t too expensive. I actually have no clue if they have food or not. So yeah, don’t go expecting anything that isn’t a dive bar and you’ll have a great time. They do have karaōke and trivia nights but that’s not my thing so I don’t know how they are.

My favorite bar in town! Friendly bar tenders and good drinks. 6 bucks for a 22 oz beer. They also have a great shuffle board, darts and pool. Great neighborhood bar.

Pros, Cons, then summary. PROs – It’s a bit of a dive bar… which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It has an older crowd vibe to it, and mostly white folk, but that isn’t always bad. Nice place to pop in every now and then, as opposed to the trendy type of bars downtown. Here, you can just hang and don’t need to worry about dress codes. The juke box is nice and connected to the internet, so you can play almost any song ever released. The bartenders are generally nice, and the bouncer does his job. Free popcorn! LOL, hey, food is food when your really drunk. CONs – Once in awhile you get the younger crowed, which isn’t always bad, but can be knuckleheads. The shuffleboard is busted, or at least the scorekeeping part. It’s been broken for a couple years now, so it looks as if they can’t find parts for it or don’t care. It could use a TV on the wall across from the bar too. Would I go back? Yes, it’s got a nice dive aspect to it, and the pretentious college kids usually leave for trendier spots later in the night(if they go here at all)

I was totally expecting a very serious meeting with a group of Irish lawyers and a judge, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it serves alcohol!

I’m a new fan of Oleary’s! I’ve just been there once but the drinks were cheap, the jukebox full of country music and the atmosphere lively. What else is there in life?

Dive bar, heavy-handed bartenders, unpredictable crowd — you can never know if it’ll be some old biker dudes, young hipsters, or completely deserted. Always bring a friend, and you’ll probably have a decent time. Definitely the best place for bar games, offering shuffle board, darts, pool, occassional beer pong, bar trivia, air hockey table, karaōke, and probably more. Nice if you don’t want to throw on more than jeans and flippy-floppies while imbibing and eating popcorn(their offered bar fare). Not so great for meeting your next fling or making long-lasting friendships.

O’Learys is my favorite bar in town, and I’ll tell you why. There’s a constantly friendly atmosphere there that’s unmatched anywhere else I’ve been. Drink prices are reasonable and during the week you get a very mixed crowd. I’ve been here dozens of times and never seen anybody get out of control. I’ve never seen this place have a bouncer on staff, and as far as I can tell it’s because they really don’t need one. During the week, this is where I go with friends to chat and just hang out. Electronic darts, full shuffleboard table, two pool tables, and AIRHOCKEY(!) are available for your entertainment.

Alright, so you may have to disregard my earlier review as I’m now employed here… some might find that to be a conflict of interest ;). HOWEVER– I must say that the stripper pole is gone now and the old not-so-great jukebox has been replaced by this awesome newfangled dealie that is full of great music and will even search for and download more music off the internet. The half-way to Saint Paddy’s Day celebration is coming up in September and there is live music just about every weekend. And those free meatballs that G.Y. mentioned? It’s not always meatballs but it’s always free! Monday through Friday, you can come in after 4 o’clock and there’s always something yummy cooking up in the crock pot.
