I’m very picky about dentists as I’ve had a lot of work done over the years– some of it unnecessary, as it turns out. Just moved to Ventura and needed a new dentist so I checked Unilocal.I had a great experience at Dr. Wallace’s office. Nice staff, thorough cleaning, and Dr. Wallace’s feedback/​recommendations were consistent with my last dentist whom I trusted.

Developed a toothache on Christmas weekend and my dentist was on holiday. Luckily they referred me to Dr Wallace. They saw me right away and were very careful with my treatment as I had chemo years ago. By the time I left, the problem was solved. The staff treated me as if I had been a patient for years. Dr even gave me his cell number just in case. Very good staff and I recommend highly.

I’ve been bringing my boys here for years and absolutely love this office. From the moment you call for your appointment to the time you step into the office you’re greeted with top notch customer service. The gals are ALWAYS wearing smiles and seem to genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Wallace is always so kind, & very professional.
This office came to my rescue when my son decided to face plant and break his front tooth. Of course it happened on a Sunday afternoon. So I called first thing Monday morning. Diana offered to get my son in immediately. Once we got there he was taken back right away and Dr Wallace meticulously worked on his tooth to make it good as new. When he came out of the exam room I couldn’t believe just how great it looked. He saved my boys smile!!! We are so grateful to have found this amazing office in our own neighborhood.
I’ve sent many families to Dr Wallace and will continue to spread the word near and far of this great place.

I was so very pleased to find a dentist in the Ventura/​Oxnard area. Because I live in the Coachella Valley and have friends in Baja, MX I have been going there for all my dental needs. Unfortunately, just before we headed to Oxnard for a month vacation a portion of one of my molars broke off and I was sure I needed a crown. No time to go to Mexico so we went ahead and came to Oxnard. It was there that I happened to pick up a local publication and saw an ad for a local dentist with a discount coupon for crowns. I looked up Dr. Wallace on Unilocal and saw he had good reviews so I went in for an appointment. Not only was I happy with the price, even better was the pleasant office environment (everyone who works there actually seemed happy to be there!) but Dr. Wallace is as good (if not better) than any dentist I have ever seen. Although I don’t live here I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wallace and next time we visit the Ventura/​Oxnard area I will definitely plan to see him again.

We have been seeing Dr. Matt for many years now. Every time we go for a check-​up, his friendly staff greets us and Dr. Matt is always honest and professional. I recommend him to everyone I know looking for a reasonable and highly skilled Dentist!

Dr. Wallace is very friendly and professional! I am a big baby when it comes to the dentist. I have had bad experiences with other dentists who were rude or very pushy. Since then, I have had anxiety ever time I go to the dentist. Dr. Wallace and his amazing staff make me feel comfortable every time I see them. I’m no longer terrified of the dentist!

Had a great experience as a new patient! Will definitely be going back! The team is wonderful and they make you feel welcome. I normally HATE going to the dentist but this experience has made me feel very comfortable.

I’ve only been once as a new patient for a cleaning and exam with xrays. The office is next door to Subway (it took me a bit to find it). The office is quiet and clean and wait time was minimal (only the time it took me to full out my paperwork, which was thorough and gave me the impression they are on top of the patient’s history.) They hygienist was awesome! She was kind and gentle all while getting good the job done, without lecturing me in whatever it is I’m doing wrong in my dental care (which happened often at my previous dentist and made me hate going in. Dr Wallace was very thorough. The assistant took 18 xrays with some fancy hand held device. He had a hand held camera that went in my mouth and I was able to see exactly what he saw as he explained the work I needed. I’m going back soon for fillings, so I’ll update if anything changes. Appointment availability for my next visit was just a couple days out.

Found Dr. Wallace thru Unilocal and had a great experience. I’d been to another dentist who said I needed all sorts of complex treatments that would cost me thousands. Dr. Wallace pulled a tooth, gave me a deep cleaning, and that took care of it, for a small fraction of what the other dentist wanted to charge. No drama, no fear, no scolding (other dentists have been known to give me a hard time about flossing and issue dire warnings about the terrible things about to happen). He’s a pro, did the job, I’m happy.

Me and my family have been terrified of the dentist, and have had truly horrible experiences (such as my getting a root canal without novacaine.) We decided to go to Dr. Wallace because he took our insurance, and he was close to our house.
My sister and I both got our teeth cleaned, and they did such a wonderful job and didn’t jam their tools into our gums like most dentists do. The staff is super sweet, and very patient, and understand some people are terrified of the dentist. Dr. Wallace is very charismatic and a great dentist and took away all of our fears that past experiences out in place. They also have nice TVs that distract you. His office is the way a dentist should be!

My husband and I chose Dr. Wallace due to the convenience of his office to our home but we stayed with him because of the service. Dr. Wallace and his staff take the time to make you feel important. The care and professionalism is extraordinary, especially with his dental hygienist Desiree! She makes the time pass so quickly by keeping you engaged in conversation while she cleans your teeth.
We all have to go to the dentist so this is the place to go!

Dr. Wallace saved me $ 1300.
I can’t say how relived I am. Took my daughter to ‘another’ dentist, and they said she needed 3 crowns and lots of fillings. Even with insurance, our cost was going to be $ 1700!
I decided to get another opinion. I took her to see Matt Wallace. He was very kind and professional, and described in detail what my daughter needed. For these teeth the other dentist said she «needed crowns for», Dr. Wallace said they can be taken care of with fillings. No crowns necessary. And he showed me what he meant on the video screen.
The estimate he gave us totaled $ 292! Much less than the other guy.
Honest dentists are harder to find these days, so often they want to bill patients for unnecessary procedures. If you’re in the Ventura area, go see Matt Wallace.

He is the best dentist ever. Hands down. Hands down in yer mouth.
I love the small town feel of his office. Everyone is so nice and all smiles-​nice teeth! The office manager is tough about paying up but that’s her job-​and she is very wonderful person who really wants to help. She gives me candy sometimes but she is sweet and just wants me to come back.
My story takes a horrible twist because I left Dr. Wallace and went elsewhere. A NIGHTMARE! GUESS WHAT?! The «specialist» Dr. Wong had forgotten a root! OW! HOW DOES A SPECIALIST FORGET A ROOT? I ended up in the most pain I have ever felt WAY WORSE THAN CHILDBIRTH! This ruined my Xmas. Almost lost my job and my girlfriend. Water would SHOOT out of my nose! Awful! I almost died from the pain WORSE THAN CHILDBIRTH of Sofie.
I HAD TO GO BACK TO WALLACE! SOMEHOW I HAD TO RETURN OR ALL MY TEETH WOULD FALL OUT! But would he have me back at all???
–So I got up my courage and marched back into Dr. Wallace’s office and begged and pleaded for him to forgive me for seeing another dentist. I cried and cried until my water dried up and hacked up as I am very emotional. My makeup smeared and I nearly passed out. He calmly looked into my tearful eyes and said «Relax, I didn’t even know you were gone». So I’m back with Dr. Wallace and no pain so far!
METH MOUTH! He told me stories of how he fixed folks with «meth-​mouth» Ewww! If he can fix teeth after that he is gifted as a dentist. EWWW GROSS!
Also when I was next door a girl told me how he had saved her when her tooth came out before a job interview and she didn’t have all the money yet. She told of how he took care of the problem in minutes and gave her a break, payment plans and a new look of confidence in her life.
He has a lot of practical advice on teeth that will save you money. He knows all the ways to fix a tooth. He has state-​of-​the-​art equipment and goes to classes all the time on the latest techniques. Seriously-​he is your best choice. KEEP THIS SECRET!
He’s a great guy, dad to like a dozen kids, and always cracking hilarious yet corny jokes so you hardly feel any pain. Just the occasional groan from a pun.

Great folks! Good prices, I wouldn’t go anywhere else, I have before and you just never know. When I come to these guy I know I will be taken care of, there a big flat screen tv to keep your mind off the stress. I like that the dentist is a surfer too!
