Manuel’s Custom Tailoring

Manuel did an amazing job altering all of my garments! This was my first time going to him off a recommendation from a friend. I just moved to ventura and called many cleaners/​alterations places. I don’t like to go to the cleaners for alterations due to bad experiences and the prices for other places in the area were quite high for simple alterations.
I went to Manuel’s and he gave me a reasonable price and promised to have all of my dresses and pants altered in time for my vacation. I picked up my garments and tried them on again while I was there to make sure they fit right and they were ABSOLUTELY perfect.
On time, good price, and very friendly service from Manuel. I will definitely be back and recommend him to anyone! Thanks Manuel!

Don’t bother… He needed a week for a 20 minute job. I gave him an extra day… went by today and still not done. No apology, no explanation… nothing. he doesn’t value other people and their time. I hope it’s done correctly, other wise I’m not paying!

I took my pants in to have then hemmed I went to pick them up the day they said they’d be completed and they hadn’t even started. I picked them up March 28^th and when I looked down at them at work today (April 21) the hem was undone on 1 leg, I’ve only worn them twice since they were hemmed so I’m pretty disappointed. Maybe it was just an off experience because all the other reviews seem positive… Just a note, they are cash only so make sure you bring some with you.

He did really really well tailoring my loose marine ball gown to fit me accordingly, the bust was falling and by the time he finished (less than a week) I didn’t have to hold my dress up! It gave my chest support also! Great tailor I re comes all the way

I needed some pants hemmed the same day. I called a few places all of which advertised same day alterations, however, not one of them could accommodate me. Fortunately one of the shops suggested I call Manual. I called and he was able to make the alterations while I waited! Great work at a competitive price.

I needed to get my suit jacket tailored in time for an interview. The first place I took it to said they could only hem the sleeves and it was going to cost me $ 28. Manuel did a custom tailoring of the whole jacket for $ 45. I picked it up the day of my interview and it fit like a glove. Thank you Manuel!

Brought in three dresses for alteration with just a few days to spare before my big trip and Manuel was able to get them back to me fast and did a Wonderful Job! Very pleased and will definitely be back with future alteration needs! :)

Manuel’s done several tailoring jobs for me, my husband & my friends. All have been good to wonderful. He custom made a jacket for me using one of my faves that had worn out — it came out usable, not exactly as perfect as the original, but good enough. He altered 2 jackets for a friend of mine recently that we got at a thrift store & those came out amazing! They looked like they’d been custom made for him. I recommend this tailor — be prepared to wait a while sometimes.
