Second review I finally got to shoot at the indoor range, very clean and safe my first time shooting at an indoor range had a great time

Gotta say it’s not too often you walk into a gun range with friendly employees. but here the employees are awesome and friendly and knowledgeable. So I got me the membership

In my view the staff, Gun sales and range are top notch! It’s a safe environment, clean and professional! The sales are one of the best in California with good discounts on parts, ammo and weapons. You really must experience this place to appreciate it better.
I now purchase all my weapons from Island View Enterprises! The greatest items for me is the knowledge and the willingness of the staff to really communicate with you. They are friendly and make you feel like a friend and not just a customer. Can’t say enough good about this place!

Always enjoy coming here they have a great staff, it can get a bit busy but that’s a shooting range. A plus is that you can shoot rifles as well as shotguns here. Enjoy and plink plink away!

we went to Island View Enterprises on new years day as they were open.
if you didn’t know where you were going you would not find it and the name doesn’t help.
we got there right when they opened at noon and a good thing too as it got packed. the range master was on top of everyone ya get an hour and that’s it.
The place is nice and clean the range is very nice. we brought all our own gear and it cost $ 26 for two of us compared to shooters who wasn’t open so yea we went here. they, as most ranges have guns and ammo you can buy as well.
We got lane #2 which I highly recommend if you have a couple of people its technically the handicap lane so its wider, cool idea.
We killed our targets and got shewed out by the range master at t-​60 minutes, they actually time you and radio him, you get tapped out unless we wanted to pay again which was confusing as it says Good for a full day of range time.
Even on the post visit email I got it offers a «free Good for a full day of range time for one»
We went over to the gun shop side and there wasn’t much to see looks like Walmart on black Friday unless your a Glock guy well and a couple of 357’s but I already got one of those.
That was about all they had and maybe 5 rifles they either don’t stock a lot or got cleaned out at xmas but i didn’t see any smokin deals on the stuff they had.
I know they just expanded to that part of the building but not sure if that just happened or what.
At the end of the day we got to blow thru some ammo and have some fun on new years day.

Showed up around 1215 today to a packed shop. We got to the counter only to find out the couple in front of us got the last lane. I was told by the guy at the counter to put my name and number on the waiting list. I asked as he was walking away if I’ll receive a call when the lane opens, only to get a «yeah» as he left the counter. I went to my car and waited, shortly after 1:00p.m. I saw people start to leave, but no phone call. I gave it 30mins before saying screw it and left. Never got a call. I guess the first open lane doesn’t go to the first person on the waiting list. Or any lane for that matter since I signed the list 30 mins after opening, and never got a call the whole day.

I recently had my car stolen from my driveway in West Ventura and fearing the worse decided to go Gun Shopping at Big 5. I am 45 advanced degreed never in trouble with the law dare I say it a Gentleman. The employees suggested Island View so there I go with my trusted Über driver waiting for me in the parking lot. I intended only to take the necessary «handgun safety test» and perhaps put a deposit down on a firearm. When it came my turn in line after 10 to 15 mins. The clerk told me to leave the premises that he was not interested in my business. When I alerted him that my anxiousness was due to my waiting Über driver and nothing untoward he alerted me rudely that I had to leave after telling me HE was the manager. I was disgusted with the way I was treated and will probably have another horrible review to write when said jerkoff does not allow me to access the «shooting range» facilities. I have never been treated so bad by a business as an adult and would gently guide the Firearms enthusiast to Red Seal Guns on Ashwood… They have a far better selection and a much friendlier staff. AVOID ISLAND VIEW LIKE THE PLAGUE especially if you find yourself with a pressing concern or a waiting über than is clocking $ per minute. I invite any one with further questions to contact me. As an aside I believe I will be purchasing one firearm by each of the gun manufacturers which makes me a very good serious customer.

I have to tell you all about Island View Enterprises and all of their professional people. The range fantastic. I recommend their membership deals. They are fantastic at what the do. Wether it be a gun purchase rental ammunition or training the have together. I’ve been shooting their ammunition for a very long time. I love the pricing and the bonuses that sometime come with it. Be sure to sign up for their news letter with daily deals that save you tremendously. They put our the best ammo I have ever used. Nick the general manager has the employees very well placed. The training packages they offer are are exceptional. Bobby the gun smith is exceptional on tricking out your weapons. Give them a shots to your business.

Went shooting yesterday here for the first time and it was super simple! The staff was nice and helpful and the lanes to shoot were average like any other shooting range. Cant comment on the price though, since I came with a groupon.

A friend who knows I’m in the market for a new handgun invited me to join him this morning to fire off a few hundred rounds of 9 mm ammo using his Glock & Sig Sauer guns.
I bought some targets and we entered the gun range, he provided a safety briefing for his weapons and went to work shooting the bad guy targets.
Since a gun show was in process at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, we pretty much had the range to ourselves for the first hour or so, then the crowds flowed in to fire off their newly purchased ammunition. That said, I would suggest bringing your brass ammo with you since it seems almost twice as expensive here than at local big box retailers.
After this enjoyable experience, I lean towards buying a Glock 19. Now I just have to pull the trigger on a purchase (if you’ll forgive the pun).
On a side note, we always hear how Hollywood types are anti-​gun, but that stereotype doesn’t apply to the actor Rob Lowe who was damaging ear drums thanks to his customized AR-​15. He’s on my good side now. =)

Stopped by the other day — and found things are excellent as usual. Courteous staff and an attentive safety officer inside. If you’re looking for a clean, modern and professionally run gun range — this is the place in Ventura county!

I have not posted in a long time, and as you can see I am loyal to Islandview. I just made a purchase that I been wanting to do for a long time. Finally when the planets lined up I get sent out of town for almost 3 weeks. But let me tell you folks something, the staff at islandview honored everything that had for the labor day sale that I missed out on. A BIG THANK YOU TO NICK, And Staff. Islandview has always had great customer service and since day one this still holds true! Everyone should sign up for the deal of the day and take advantage!

I seriously wanted to give this place a 5 star review. Most indoor ranges I’ve been to are staffed with arrogant military wannabe’s that are rude and act they are in some position of authority because they are wearing a sidearm. I was so surprised with how courteous the young gentlemen was at the counter helping my girlfriend and I. It put a smile on my face and I even told her how rare this is. At least to me. The place was VERY clean and the prices were average and he gave me a military discount. Everything perfect until this…
My 1911 jammed twice on my girl towards the end of our shoot. The first time the range safety officer who was an older heavy set guy took the gun out of her hands before she had a chance to do anything unsafe. A little preemptive unless he’s a psychic. The 2^nd time which was on our very last round of ammunition she just set the gun down and walked away because she was scared the safety guy was going to rush her again. I approached, cleared the weapon, and reloaded the magazine. Set the gun down next to magazine and walked away so she could finish. Before she got to the gun the officer cut her off, grabbed my gun and said «you guys are out of here». I asked why and he would not give me a reason. It was all very inappropriate. If he can’t control his urge to pick on pretty girls because he’s insecure or something. He shouldn’t be allowed to supervise when attractive women are shooting. He knew we had one round left and just had to kick us out. It was ridiculous and I felt embarrassed to say the least.
I was a United States Marine Corps Sergeant. I was also a M240 G machine gunner during Operation al-​Fajr. I know weapons safety just as good as anyone. I sincerely believe this happened to us because she was pretty not because she was being unsafe.
Because of this experience I will not recommended this place to anyone.

Don’t really shoot at indoor ranges but…
Got there right at noon when they open. GF wanted to do some shopping at the outlets, and we had some new Glocks to break in. The last time I was at a range in Ventura County, it was at another indoor range in Oxnard. After reading some previous reviews of hassles with ammo, decided to try this place out.
Prices are pretty reasonable for non-​members who bring your own ammo. Targets are decently priced and good quality/​color. Check in was quick. Range is fairly small and the distances inside only go to 50 feet or so, marked off in feet. Only downside I saw was the lack of space to stow your gear/​range bags. Gun store prices seemed reasonable for most firearms. Lots of guns you don’t typically see in most shops, like a $ 6k HK MR762.
The facilities and restroom are exceptionally clean. And the staff is friendly.
Rifles are allowed and LE range fees are half-​off on Wednesdays.

Not the cheapest range in Ventura but it is the Safest and cleanest. They always treat me with respect and their place is clean and well kept. They do not harass me about «toxic» ammo as long as I don’t bring aluminum or steel cased. I do wish they would stay open later on the weekdays but it’s cool. I recommend this range.

Best shooting range in ventura county. After comming from a ahooting range with expensive prices and not letting me fire my own ammo with purchasing theirs.

I noticed that 6 of the 5 star reviews trashed one of the other local ranges. They were CLEARLY set ups and to be honest disturbing.
If you cannot get real posts then you should not participate on Unilocal.Dishonesty is not a positive treat guys. I will not be shooting here.
