Great hats! Have had great service in the past. We were very disappointed with the one person working. She seemed almost bothered to have customers. I was delighted at the selection as we always are and we bought a few hats mainly because of selection and past wonderful experience. Encourage that staff is better chosen.

This is a fun and interesting store. The staff («Tuesday») is very knowledgeable and helpful. She went out of her way to answer my questions on vintage hat styles. They have a wide selection of hats and accessories, all very reasonably priced and conveniently displayed. Anything in hats, they have. If you don’t see it, ask. The only down side is that they don’t have a cleaning and/​or blocking service.

Great selection of all sorts of hats for any occasion. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Came for a Kentucky Derby Hat, found the perfect one!

Hats Unlimited has a good selection of fashionable and interesting hats. Don’t come here looking for your everyday baseball cap. Do come here if you need a fancy Easter hat, one of those New York cabbie hats, or a hat that looks like a pizza.

If you love hats, this is truly «hat heaven»! Great selection and prices for sure, but the best part is the people who work there. Today for example a wonderful woman working there named Tuesday magically took out the wrinkles in my Panama hats. Worth the drive from the Valley, or really anywhere if you dig hats and want the best selection and helpful people.

EXPERIENCE:
Still waiting and just steps from the Trolly pick up, a fellow hiker who is mad for hats wanted to check this place out. Not much of a hat person found myself rather enjoying trying on all varieties of hats. Seriously, this place is floor to ceiling filled with hats. Hats for all occasions or no occasion at all. Period hats, classic hats, cowboy hats, baseball caps, they have it all and their prices seem pretty reasonable. Perhaps if we had more time I might have found that perfect hat, unfortunately it will have to be another day.
We didn’t really receive any attention from sales associates, perhaps the scheduler didn’t realize pirate days would bring in a larger than usual crowd and didn’t staff up accordingly. As I mentioned the place was packed with hats, too many hats in my opinion. At times it was difficult to move around because of the tables and racks filled the store and several people made the quarters ever tighter.
Cute shop, but I won’t be going out of my way to go back.

My wife and I walked into this store wed night. I was all ready to buy a hat as I have a trip coming up. I heard that the Tilley hats are very nice and good quality. Which they had in stock. However we were totally ignored by the person behind the counter. Not even a hello or «do you have any questions». Felt like we were bothering her. I walked out empty handed and thought I’m going to buy a hat somewhere else.

Have not been here in years and stopped in today while visiting the harbor. This is one of those stores you can visit even if you don’t need a hat. It’s a fun store. And no matter how many times you visit it’s always fun. You will find all styles of hats, big and small. All price ranges. Kids hats, birthday hats and silly hats. They also sell sunglasses. I needed a pair and found the perfect ones.
As for the review regarding the racist employee I hope she was fired! There is no room for racism In the world.

I loved this store! Very organized and neat displays of the hats, I was impressed with the variety of hats there for sale! Customer service was super nice and helpful at checkout. I also checked out their website after visiting the store and was equally satisfied. My order was shipped quickly and once again customer service was awesome. Very happy with my hats and my experience here!

I can’t believe the crass and unprofessional behavior of the store clerk today. When I was looking at the hats, which I was going to purchase, but wanted to see other colors, I was told, «I hope you are not messing up my display since you don’t know what you are doing». The store missed a sale of a Tilley hat and a visor today. I have bought several hats from this store in the past, however, I will never buy anything else from this store again. I see the reviews about the very rude sales lady and today I experienced her nasty, sarcastic, rude and other adjectives I can’t mention, behavior. If she is the owner, she needs to wake up, take a lesson in customer service and learn how to treat customers.

Please fire this white lady! First of all I’m hispanic and dont know the name of this lady she’s like on her 40s so there’s no other way to describe her than being a RACIST rude white lady. I brought my parents to town to visit and they decided to come in to this store which I have to admit its a great hat store. A sweet young lady working there was helping my parents find the right hat for my mom and she was talking in spanish. This other rudeass white lady said «THIS IS AN ENGLISH STORE ONLY» behind my parents back. I was in shock and grabbed my parents when they were about to purchase a hat and told them don’t buy anything let’s get out of here and we took off. I wasnt gonna buy anything after feeling insulted and humiliated. I regret not telling her anything but I’ll let God deal with her. Never ever coming to this store again! And if you lady are reading this then hopefully you over think your attitude or ur store will go bankrupt. I’m spreading the word!

I was in this store on Saturday and purchased a hat. I returned the next day (today) at about 3:00pm to return it. I was not aware there were no returns — exchanges only. I was disappointed in that, but did not express it directly to the sales associate. I expressed it to my boyfriend who was with me. I merely said «well that’s kind of silly». There were two ladies working, one was a younger lady who was nice, but the older one was not. I did not get her name, but as we were leaving, the older lady said to the younger one «what’s her problem?» This really angered me. No sales associate should ever talk about a customer that way, especially to their back. I will not be shopping at this store anymore, and I will not recommend it to any of my family or friends. That lady should NOT be working in customer service. The hats are awesome, but the customer service was horrible.

Ah, what first… How about selection. Yes they had a good selection to choose from, the bad… well if you are at least a large then there is much, but if you are a small… your choices are quite limited. The even worse… the customer service. The woman working the counter is not only RUDE, but she is not helpful, would not get off her ASS to assist in any way… Did not greet us cordially as we walked in and there were no other customers in the store. She minimally pointed out where the selections for men were and said the smalls were under the larger sizes. It was clear from our rumbling through… that the sizes were limited. No offer of assistance was made. We did find a hat, although we’d have preferred several others so we essentially settled… having driven 45 miles to get there in the first place. Go back… ah…that’d be a NO.

This place is the Bermuda triangle! I can’t wander through the harbor shops without stopping by the Harbor Hatter and trying on tons of hats.

For me, this time I needed a smashable, packable, somehow casual but Napa-​style hat to wear for a wine-​tasting trip. Glad of an excuse to stop in, I headed with an entourage of family to the hat shop. Apparently they were happy to have a hat-​trying-​on-​extravaganza excuse, too.
After working my way through small brimmed hats, large brimmed hats, cloth hats, woven hats, bright hats, striped hats, and so on, we all picked out two pretty hats for me.
Mr. Handsome found a hiking hat while he was wandering through the guy’s part of the store.
Our cutie pie tried on the viking hat, the princess hat, the pirate hat, and a rasta hat. We vetoed each one!
No matter your hat needs, stop by the Harbor Hatter. They are friendly, the place is fun, and the hats are well-​priced. Besides, it might just be your day to be a viking!

I walked in with my uncle that was from out of town and the lady working the counter (I assume she’s the owner) asked my uncle where he was from. Once he responded she laughed and called him a «loser.» Upon hearing this response, I turned around and looked at her. She then asked me if I heard what she said and I replied no, hoping she would repeat herself in case I misunderstood what she said. When she never responded back, my uncle then said that he wanted to hear what she had said. The lady hesitated to respond, then tried to casually play off what she said like it’s no big deal to insult her customers. She stated that she was from the same state as him and gives everyone that’s from there a hard time… In any case, I will never come back here and I won’t recommend any of my friends to shop here too. I’ll take my business to someone else who will actually appreciate their customers.

The annual Kentucky Derby parties will be in full force this upcoming weekend. For those of you that won’t feel properly dressed, I suggest driving to Ventura Harbor and view their selection of hats.
