Dr. Wilson is the best! I don’t have vision insurance, so I pay cash, but it is very affordable here. You can expect excellent service, an efficient exam, and a good laugh! He has a great sense of humor, so each visit is fun! I used to dread seeing the eye doctor until I came here. Now, I won’t go anywhere else. Making an appointment is also very easy, you can usually get in right away. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson!!!

First time visitor to Dr Christian and am five starring him! Great manner, good rate and even when I had a problem with my prescription he righted it immediately and all with a smile. Highly recommend.

I kept hearing about this doctor from tons of other people and now I know why. He’s pleasant, efficient, can schedule to see you right away and beyond reasonably priced — especially if you don’t have insurance.

Dr. Wilson has been my eye doctor since I’ve moved to Ventura. He’s always kind, prepared and always punctual. I’ve never had any issues with him or his business. He’s my far my favorite eye doctor in town. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I went here based off of all of the sterling Unilocal reviews Dr. Wilson’s received. And he was great. It was by far the easiest, least stressful doctor’s appt of any kind I’ve ever had. He is very personable, and knows his stuff. $ 55 for a half-​hour glasses scrip exam. Very reasonable, as I don’t have vision insurance. Great guy; it’d be impossible not to choose this place for my next checkup.

Thank you to all the previous Unilocalers that helped me decide to go to Dr. Wilson. He gave me the best eye exam I’ve had in 15 years! He is quite funny. I wish all my Dr visits were this fun actually. His office & equipment are very clean. He has a very nice cozy professional exam room. There is a nice plush chair & even a little faux fireplace if you bring someone with you to wait. Classy. What I loved most about him is he doesn’t rush you when he’s switching the lens, he helps you through the process. He devotes his time to YOU. He also returns calls promptly, & I found him quite easy to get an appointment with as well as a walk in. My exam was about 30min total & it was very thorough. I paid $ 55 for my visit & was on my way. Lassen’s is right next door as is the Ugg Outlet so there’s potential for shopping afterward. I was hesitant to find an optometrist at first because I’ve had very bad experiences at Target & Lens Crafters Ventura. I am glad I came to this office. Additionally, I also found out it’s a small world & that my Dad goes here too! Dr. Wilson fixed his prescription that Lens Crafters messed up & refused to fix. Dr. Wilson is great. He’s doing everything he can to get us the eye care we need in a day & age where our insurance is paying zero or close to zero. I really appreciate him for that. I will def be back in the future & will be referring people I meet.

Dr Wilson is GREAT… my family all comes to his office. He is always attentive to our needs and is very polite. His office hours are great and he is open on Saturdays which is another added plus.

Dr. Wilson is great. My eye exams are always quick easy and painless. His office is very clean and beautifully decorated. DR. Wilson is a funny guy who will keep you laughing. His prices are very reasonable. Better prices for Contacts then walmart/​costco.

Chris has been my optometrist for a few years now. Started with progressive glasses and then he helped me ease into contacts. Thanks for being there for me Chris when my house was being tented and I forgot to pack extra contacts.

We had no appointment and no idea what to expect going in, but we walked in and Dr. Wilson was immediately attentive to us. He was working with a patient, so he advised us to find a frame next door and he’d call us. We had time to find the frames we wanted, and the doctor came right on time.
Dr. Wilson was so social and helpful! The eye exam went smoothly, and we got our new grade in no time! We paid $ 55 for the whole thing, which is pretty inexpensive if you have no insurance.
Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for an eye checkup!

He is the BEST eye Dr. we have ever been to. He is so attentive to his patients and he has a wonderful sense of humor. His prices are great as well. I have referred friends and family to his office and everyone has the same opinion of him. If you need an eye exam this is the only place you should go!

Dr. Wilson is great, for the price and his personality, you really can’t beat it. I usually loathe going to the eye dr, which is probably why it’s taken me so long to get the glasses I knew I needed, but he made it so painless. He even corrected me when I wasn’t sure I was reading the chart right (ie which lens is better) I had been picking ones that seemed sharper, but were still straining my eyes, which is why other attempts at glasses had failed.
Well, I first went in January this year, and I’m still using my glasses, everyday. In fact, i can’t function properly without them! I can’t believe it took me this long. I’m SO lucky I happened upon his practice. I’ll be back for a follow up visit in January, no doubt!

Dr. Wilson’s refreshing demeanor and enthusiastic personality is the first thing I appreciate. Conveniently located adjacent to Santa Barbara Eyeglass Factory, Dr. Wilson (who insists you refer to him as «Chris»), is an honest professional who takes his time with you and cares enough to answer your questions. Chris followed protocol in my contact lense examination and fitting, but when he couldn’t match the price I was paying for my contacts, he willingly gave me my prescription, and did NOT hold it hostage and pester me into ordering my contacts through HIM! (every other optometry office I’ve ever been to basically FORCES you into ordering the first pair of contacts through THEM, so as to collect their markup — and I’ve been ordering contacts for 24 years!!!)
