The most popular Reverse Mortgages today are the government insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (aka HECM) that have a Maximum Lending Limit of $ 625,500, but there are also Jumbo Reverse Mortgages for those that have property values up to $ 6MM.

Traditionally the Reverse Mortgage had been only used for Refinance transaction for those that already owned a home, but since 2009 the Reverse Mortgage can now also be used to Purchase a new or more desirable home. So if someone wants to move closer to family or friends, downsize or upsize their home or move into a 55+ Master Planned Community they can purchase a home with a Reverse Mortgage and not have monthly payments.

History

Established in 2007.

Carlos Camargo has been helping people buy and/​or refinance homes since 2003 and he has specialized his mortgage lending business by assisting people look at the Reverse Mortgage products since 2007.

Carlos has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with Major Emphasis in Finance, Real Estate & Insurance from California State University-​Northridge.

In 2007 Carlos went to work for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a Reverse Mortgage Consultant and was later promoted to Reverse Mortgage Sales Supervisor where he was charged with individually helping promote the Reverse Mortgage programs, but also tasked with building teams of Reverse Mortgage Consultants from Ventura to San Luis Obispo County.

Carlos Camargo is a well-​known local expert and speaker on Reverse Mortgages. He has assisted senior homeowners across California enhance their «golden years» by helping them select the correct reverse mortgage program to meet their particular needs and goals. With his «no-​pressure», educational approach, Carlos is an expert at helping his clients find the right solutions that meet their needs. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children. He also loves to travel and is active in his church community.
