My husband and I had just driven cross country to move to Ventura. We wanted to have our two cars inspected so we were recommended to check out AWS Automotive. Caleb and his team were so friendly and welcoming! They also did an amazing job explaining their repairs and made sure that we understood it too (and I don’t know cars so that was helpful!) They made sure that they would «keep our cars running». And they’ve done a great job so far! We will definitely be back for (hopefully) just routine check ups. Thanks to Caleb and your team! Before buying an RV, we decided to take it to AWS Automotive for a complete inspection. We found out that the RV we were about to purchase was unsafe to drive and had countless parts that would need to be replaced! Thank you AWS. You saved us from a catastrophic money pit!

I was pretty sure the terms «pleasant» and «car repair» would never appear in the same thought bubble for me, but these guys have proven me wrong. I was impressed from the moment I walked into the shop and left realizing that I could, in fact, hang onto my much-​loved 10-​year old VW Beetle knowing that I now have AWS in my arsenal. Caleb and Larry were great, worked overtime to save me money on parts, kept me informed throughout the process, and helped with alternate transportation. I literally was on my way to grudgingly shop for a new car when happenstance brought me here. A lucky roll of the dice. Very highly recommended!

Wow! What a top notch place. We were blown away by the service and quality that these guys provided us.
We unfortunately hit car trouble and needed our radiator replaced. First of all, these guys were open on Black Friday and super friendly. Before we even towed the car there, they were already talking about looking into getting parts for us because we were from out of town and needed the car that night.
They made the whole thing so painless and friendly. Not only that but they went above and beyond in so many ways and we are so grateful to them. They called Ford to see if our problem was under warranty, stayed late and got the car done for us the same day, took pictures of the problem for us, and were smart and intelligent about what was going on. They were unbelievably nice. We were on the road again by 6:30pm after dropping it off at 2:30pm and we needed a new radiator and further damage control.
Larry and Caleb – we are so grateful! Your business practices are top notch and will keep you in business with grateful customers like us for a long time!

Love, love, love these guys! I’ve been going here for three years and recommend them to everyone! Larry and Caleb are great, and even though I haven’t met all the mechanics they always do an awesome and thorough job! I will always get a heads up about upcoming mechanical issues and timeframe at which they are recommended to be taken care of. Also, these guys are very honest about repairs being major issues or something that can be put off a bit. They are not the cheapest in town but are ABSOLUTELY the best!!!

I am in from out of town and needed an honest mechanic. You know the feeling, you need some automotive work and don’t know who will or won’t rip you off. THESE GUYS ROCK ! Larry and Caleb were very professional and communicated exactly what needed to be done and that they will check other systems. A/​C can be a tricky and very expensive issue. Larry and his mechanics had me back on the road in a hour with only a $ 140.00 to service my A/​C System. it is now «blowing ice cubes» and I am a very satisfied customer. Larry is From Ventura, born and raised, and has owned AWS for 14 years. he understands reputation is everything and he deserves the praise he gets. 4 Best Of Certificates hanging on the wall. a beautiful, clean and well maintained shop. You’re doing great work Larry… While i was waiting for my truck to be finished, several happy customers were in the lobby and told me point blank how honest he was and how pleased they were with their work. That just doesn’t happen too often now does it? Great Work Folks !

March 2015, Men’s Journal Magazine published their issue voting Ventura, California THE #1 place to live in these United States. I believe businesses like AWS Automotive and it’s outstanding friendly staff are factors in what make Ventura a paradise like no place else. I purchased 97 Jeep about 5 years ago and it’s had countless problems since the day I bought it. A few weeks ago a 4WD error code popped up and it couldn’t of come at a worst time. I did some code readings and narrowed down the possibilities to save my self time and money. I went to 3 different shops before finding AWS and they all gave me, what I call the «run-​a-​round». However As soon as I called AWS Automotive my worries were over!!!
From the time I scheduled my appointment to picking up my truck… I can honestly say Ive never been so pleased with the service of ANY business. The AWS team took down my error codes and quickly developed a game plan that suited my needs, my budget, and my schedule! After finding a simple and affrodable solution the Owner himself, Larry, called to update me. After a few hours AWS had me back on the road! Larry is very hands on and you can tell that he sincerely cares about his customers; Which is extremely refreshing when it comes to auto repair shops. IF YOU NEED ANY CAR REPAIR?! USE AWS AUTOMOTIVE!!!

After being charged for an oil change which I did not receive at Sears auto in Ventura, I headed to AWS. Larry was so helpful and informative. He performed my oil change quickly and followed up with Sears. I cannot thank him enough for his help! I will definitely come back again!

I wanted to like this shop, but will be looking for a new mechanic to service my car. I brought my car in for an oil change and mentioned that my Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light had started flashing — an issue that had come up previously and had always been fixed in minutes by other shops (at no charge) by re-​syncing the sensors. When I picked up the car i was expecting to pay for an oil change, but was presented with a $ 400 plus bill. They replaced two TPMS sensors at $ 100 apiece without calling to discuss the repair first, and charged me $ 200 in labor. Less than a week later the TPMS warning light was back on. I took it to a different shop where the tech took about 5 minutes to reset the system and didn’t charge me a dime. I can only imagine that if I had taken it back to AWS it would have been another $ 400. Perhaps the sensor replacement was warranted, but due to the dubious lack of communication, excessive labor charge, and subsequent reemergence of the problem I no longer trust this business.

Larry and Caleb know how to built trust and respect with their customers. Never had I had a mechanic take the time to walk me through CAD program to show me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. Their prices for my repair beat the competition and they won’t try to BS you with vague diagnoses. Highly recommended to anyone having some car troubles to try them out; they truly value their reputation and keeping your business.

Have taken numerous vehicles to AWS and always received the absolute best in customer service and satisfaction.

Had major work done on my air conditioning system. The dash, center console and steering wheel had to be removed.
AWS did a great job on a complicated project. Their communication is the best of any auto repair place I have used. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

There are multiple reasons as to why this establishment has such a flawless rating. Caleb & Larry took car of my mental sanity and my car when my ban decided to die on me. SAME DAY SERVICE. I was lucky enough for my issue to turn out to be my starter. I’ve never been talked too and treated SO WELL over the phone as well as in person. Incredibly positive and well mannered folks work here with a vast knowledge of information, solutions and kindness. Larry has such an upbeat attitude that my car not working sounded like the least of my problems, much needed. The parts, labor and towing we EXTREMELY FAIR PRICING and you know you’re being taken care of, you don’t feel like you’re being bullshitted which was so refreshing. If anything happens to my husbands car or my car or any car we may purchase in the future, AWS has completely accomplished they goal of making us lifetime clients.

We entrust AWS to work on all of our vehicles, as they are trustworthy, honest, professional and timely. No need to look for any other shop concerning your vehicle’s needs — just go to AWS and they’ll take great care of you!

Labor prices were a little on the high side for my taste but all shops in socal are like that.
However their customer service and professionalism more than made up for it! Timely service even when extra work had to be done during my clutch install I still got my car back the same day. When I was running late Caleb said he could stick around after the shop was closed to get me my car. That meant a lot to me, I tipped him because he didn’t need to do that.
This is a clean shop with courteous techs.

I have been taking my truck to Larry for a few years now. The work is done right,
and he stands by his repairs, as when something fails, he corrects whatever it is.
All the people here are friendly and very helpful. Good work is not cheap, cheap
work is not good. This should certainly be his motto.

I have been taking my vehicles to AWS in Ventura for years. Larry & his staff run a top notch business! The front office feels like an upscale boutique, not an auto repair shop. We normally deal with Caleb. He is great & always calls with diagnosis of the issue & what it will cost to repair so there are no surprises.
Best of all, AWS provides a «loaner vehicle» while your car is in the shop. Nothing fancy, but they get me around town while I am without wheels. Thanks Larry for providing this newer service to your customers. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else!
