History

Established in 2012.

Founders Ben and Ryan both had acne when they were younger, but had very different experiences getting treatment.

Ben had the traditional experience. He wanted the best treatment available, so he searched for a dermatologist and called her office. The doctor didn’t have an opening for a month, he missed class to drive to the office, and sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes. When she finally saw him, she took 5 seconds to look at him, wrote him a prescription, and left the room. So much work for the best treatment!

Ryan had a different experience as his dad is a dermatologist. He had the best treatment available whenever he needed it. If he needed medication, his dad took a look at him at wrote a prescription whenever was convenient. If he had a question, he could ask him whenever and get an expert’s answer.

Ryan and Ben came together many years later to found YoDerm. By bringing the consultation online, now everyone can have the best treatment there is without leaving their home.
