I should have left this review the moment I walked into the store. I had some photography I needed framed the same day and they did an AMAZING job. I would recommend this place to ANYONE looking to get anything framed. I had gone to a couple of different places, including over-​priced and severely under-​stocked Aaron brothers and landed here. A frame store on La Cienega recommended this place when they couldn’t get my request out on time.
First of all, the selection is absolutely amazing. The only thing I could think of that this place did not have were acrylic frames, the kind where just the border is acrylic and not the entire frame. They really have a huge selection and the warehouse is on site so they can source on the spot! They’ve got all kinds of frames, matte boards, and the owner is SUPER friendly. I came in at 5pm which is typical closing time for most frame stores, and they were able to frame my 20″ x 36″ photo on the spot. The frame itself is vibrant and great quality and ridiculously affordable. They have aluminum, handmade acrylic, wooden, plastics, carved, molded, you name it!
Anywho, I would recommend this place. They print also! Wish I would have know before I drove all over the greater LA area looking. I must say, having my vision come to life so quickly really brought a tear to my eye. I WILL BE BACK!
FYI: Plenty of street parking though Lincoln is always busy. Nice little café across the street while you wait.

I have a a lot of pieces framed at Universal. The work is always great and everyone is very professional and creative. I spend time living in North Carolina and in Los Angeles. I save up all my framing needs and haul them cross country to Universal. How’s that for loyalty!!! Thanks, especially to Fernando!

This is the best framer I have found. Patient, wonderful guys. Very helpful and creative and priced right! Unfortunately, they have a very unfriendly printer Titano Cruz who is impossible to work with and who makes you feel as you are a burden so steer clear from him run fast.

This place is great and Nino Herrera is by far the best framer I have ever worked. I have taken 6 pieces of art in to him over the last 2 years and each time have gotten excellent service, really creative ideas on how to frame my art and for each piece, we’ll usually look at and discuss multiple options. I have been very impressed with the pricing and turnaround time as well.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Nino, who has been a very nice guy to work with.

Framing with Universal taught me how framing SHOULD be and just how important it is. I work closely with Fernando — the process is collaborative and he helps me bring whatever I am framing to life. These guys are absolutely amazing. We came in with some antique frames and old horror movie posters needing to get them resized and fitted. Not only did they have some really great suggestions but they gave us an incredible price and within about a week we were able to pick up all 6 frames. These guys were a pleasure to work with and will definitely be getting more business from us in the future.

Universal Art Gallery has turned my sports memorabilia into my own mini museum. Everything they touch turns into a masterpiece. I highly recommend Universal Art Gallery if you have a jersey, autographed ball, puck or stick and you want to make it into something unique or special.

I recently had my first solo art show and Universal made the experience go perfectly. Titano helped create and print a huge front-​window worthy piece using a tiny digital file. Fernando beat (or matched) any of the prices around town for framing and mounting. And Ramiro hung the show in the most professional and patient way. As you might imagine I had some anxiety around getting everything right and everyone at Universal made the whole process peaceful and easy. Don’t bother calling around and comparing, Universal is by far the best.

I have done business with Universal for almost ten years. Their quality is as high as that of decorators I have used and their prices are as low as Aaron Brothers ‘on sale’.
And I love all the Lakers stuff they have!
But what brings me back is the integrity. The owners are usually there; when I had a problem they fixed it without argument or delay. I think it is the best picture framer in Los Angeles.

Thank God for Charmaine, she is the best! My boss needs a lot of stuff framed but isn’t very specific about how he wants it done, so I always go over there and she tells me what the best options are and takes her time to figure out what is going to look the best, helps me out with the prices. She is also very organized and can find everything right away. I’m glad that I don’t have to go in there knowing exactly what I want, because I never do, and she always figures out what the best thing to do is. Also, they are open late so I can go after work. A couple years ago, i used these guys to frame about 12 pieces. It seems like they will give some deals with the more you frame.
Recently though, i framed one 8.5×11 piece with a fancy weathered wood frame, and it got very expensive, very quickly.
German guy was nice, helped us look at frames, suggested some nice things, and our print looks FAB.
