Collectable Studio Pottery since 1979… handmade, right here in our studio. You can watch us actually make unique gifts, dinnerware, vases, pitchers, & serving bowls of all sizes. Our own «ginger citrus» scented soap, candles, & mineral bath are for sale in our retail store as well. Bridal or gift registry is a great idea! There is a very popular huge room of marked down pieces, including seconds, discontinued shapes or colors, experimental work, etc. We use state of the art, eco– friendly packaging for gift wrap (free) and shipping. Located two blocks from world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk and steps away from ultra trendy Abbot Kinney shopping district, we are on the NE corner of Main Street and San Juan just south of Santa Monica Main St. shopping area.

History

Established in 1979.

Luna Garcia was created as a pseudonym for Cindy Ripley, and named after her inspirational grandmother. Newly-​armed with her Master of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth Univ., and with husband Curtis (also an artist from Texas), Cindy allowed «Luna» to take on a life of her own.

Their love of Mexico and the spicy, colorful cuisine was evident in the vibrantly colored ware that developed. The collectable pottery has evolved into a highly durable, functional ware characterized by simple, elegant, handmade shapes painted with satin matte glazes. The versatile dinnerware, vases, bowls, and pitchers make the artful presentation of flowers and food easy & fun! Your choice and combination of form, color, and pattern create «looks» from modern to primative, casual to formal, and everything in between. Even traditional.
