I like the bulk nails so that I don’t have to buy a big box for every size I need, then feel like I have to store them for the next 20 years. Helpful, matter-​of-​fact, friendly staff They have a huge, very easy to access parking lot so it’s easy to just stop by. I often call ahead to see if they have what I need. The store feels lighter and easier to get around in than other local independent hardwares, which feel a bit cramped and airless to me, with difficult parking (although they’re also good in their ways). So, yes, this is a good, local hardware store!

I usually only stopped at small hardware stores when I can’t find items at Home Depot, however last time I stopped there I found better quality items that they didn’t stock at Home Depot and I couldn’t find anywhere except at the store I was very surprised and it was a great price, kudos for them, not only that but one of the sales people is extremely helpful

I had such a wonderful experience at Lincoln Hardware the other day. One of the workers, Carlos, went above and beyond his duties not once but twice for me. Initially, I came in looking for parts to fix my glider and not only did he find the parts but reassembled the chair for me! Later that day I was dealing with a broken vacuum and returned to the hardware store to get the plug replaced. Once again, Carlos to the rescue finding the correct plug and replacing it for me. What a gift Carlos is to Lincoln Hardware and has made me an even bigger fan of my beloved local Hardware Store.

I was happy to find a local hardware store here in Venice when I was in need for a stud finder to hang a shelf. But what a disappointment and waste of time.
I called in advance and the man assured me they had stud finders in stock. I arrived and they had one in stock– the man said it works great it’s just not digital. So I believed him. My fiancé came home and said it was a magnet and wouldn’t help much for finding a wood stud to hang out shelf. He tried and sure enough he drilled a hole about two inches from the wood stud. When we tried to return the man said oh I never recommend that one– here try this digital one that we got back in stock. And refused to exchange it for the new one so we had to purchase two. It’s not the cost but the principle. Ignorant lazy and greedy.

Nothing makes me happier than to support a good local business and I am so glad I went to this one! They were super sweet and helpful over the phone to ensure that they not only had the product I was looking for on the shelf, but in stock, too! I was greeted by four friendly workers when I entered the store, one of whom helped me find the product, carried it for me, and rung me up. The other gentlemen were warm and hospitable — one even offered me a box to carry my purchase in. Their prices were reasonable and — though they are located on Lincoln — the back alley entrance made getting in and out easy!

Reminds me of a small town hardware store, which I dig. It’s obviously not as big as your big box Home Depot and won’t have as much as a selection. However, the internet is more likely to have a better selection than either … which is a blessing and a curse. Is Amazon Prime really the future?
I’ve had keys made before here and this is my favorite part of this hardware store. They have a great selection of kinds of keys. They have gun shaped keys, religious keys, normal keys, and keys with cats on them! Variety is the best when making keys for family members.
Another pro is huge, free parking lot right next door.

When folks say what happened to all the great old hardware stores — they mean places like Lincoln Hardware.
The sign is great, the staff ridiculously helpful, the inventory everything you need.
If you want the run around go to home depot. If you want to get the job done — go to Lincoln Hardware.

Remember that mean old ignorant redneck family from Texas chainsaw massacre? I’m pretty sure they relocated to Venice and opened a hardware store on Lincoln! The epitome of grumpy old men! Yes it’s local, yes it’s convenient but wow it’s really hard to give these guys my business when they treat their customers like idiots. Every time I go and ask for help they practically roll their eyes, stomp down the aisle with a huff, point to the product and act like it was a huge inconvenience. Today I saw one of these guys making fun of a customer, imitating his lisp after he left. Seriously?

A few reasons I like this little neighborhood hardware store:
— It’s open on Sundays, which is more than you can say for a few other nearby hardware stores who shall not be named.
— It has a relatively roomy and accessible parking lot, which is — again — more than you can say for most of its competitors.
— It’s clean and well organized, with aisles just wide enough to avoid the claustrophobia common in smaller mom n’ pop establishments. I found the screwdriver section in about 60 seconds flat.
— The helpful staff, who patiently helped me select the proper Phillips head screwdriver with which to build a piece of furniture (I’d brought in one of the relevant screws).
In and out in five minutes flat. Home Depot can’t beat that. Word.

The guys there were very helpful and made extra sets of keys for my home. They were upbeat and kind to me. The store has a large, free adjacent parking lot to boot!
I will return for any additional needs as they are open 7 days a week as well.

This place reminds me of the little local hardware stores I went to with my dad as a kid. Total nostalgia, starting with the huge sign out front that looks like it is straight out of the 70’s.
This place has everything I could want from bolts and nuts to house hold cleaning supplies. If you are looking for speciality items or high tech dimmers it might not be your spot. If you are looking for down to earth people willing to help you navigate the small rows and offer advice with a great price, check them out!

Lincoln hardware is my spot. Small but mighty. They have so many items here. No matter what I’m looking for, tiny screws, drill bits or small specialty hinges… They always save my day.
As this is a mom and pop shop, don’t expect that Lowes customer service. They are helpful but not going to bend over backwards.
