Only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because of it’s only purpose is residency, this complex should be a historic monument or a museum of some sort! As my friends and I passed by this place we were intrigued by the architecture so we went pretty close up and we heard the strangest sounding groans… needless to say we ran off. Bonus points for the extra creep factor!

I wonder what this apartment building looks like on the inside. It comes up on roadside attraction lists and was a point of interest during the recent Field Trip Los Angeles event in the area. The Bordello Alexandra is arguably one of the tackiest, gaudiest buildings in L.A. County, gold and purple with orange tile, covered in dozens upon dozens of gargoyles, statues of angels, demons, knights, mermen, centaurs, dragons, and other mythological creatures, as well as Frank Frazetta-like paintings on the front and a balcony with more artwork on display. Make a roadside day out of a trip to Venice and stop by before checking out the Venice Beach Freak Show and patronizing Harry Perry.

Wow what a cool house. I would like the whole place to myself. I would dress in all black and prowl the streets. I would have thirty women inside to serve my every need. I would have food delivered to me from all over the world. At night I would take drugs and drink blood. YES I AMTHEVAMPIRELESTAT. No just kidding this place is real neat though love it… Check out the centaur on the side and the demons too.
