My experience with the gentleman at the dealership was nice. They were wonderful as far as customer service goes. Unfortunately they sold me a lemon. In bought the car in January and it’s now May, and it has died. The engine light came on the next day I bought it and was told it was too late. He said to take it to his guy where I was hustled out of money to look the car and was told it was fine. My roommate is a mechanic and has clearly stated its a lemon and I got hustled. I am a sweet woman who doesn’t want trouble. I want a safe vehicle hat is reliable, which was what I was told I was buying. I would not trust these men and their vehicles. They will hustle you, and your car will probably only run for a few months. I am not only disappointed in being lied to, but now I have to buy another car! I am livid and would recommend anyone that thinks this is a good deal or a good place to buy a car, to keep driving! Don’t stop here because you will spend money on something that will not last!

This is the used car dealer you’ve been warned about. DO NOT go to this business. You will get sweet talked and used. I sold Tim my car and he was my best friend. But then he never registered the car in his name and I had to pay $ 200 in fines on tickets the car received AFTER I sold it to him. Go somewhere else, this business is the worst.

Tim is indeed brusque and direct, but when I needed help getting a car for my pregnant sister, he went above and beyond. I got her a very nice Pathfinder in good condition for a great price and he fixed the breaks, the rotors, and ordered a new computer for the car. I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

Man, this guy Tim is the worst kind of dealer. Long story short, I am a serious buyer looking for a specific type of car that Tim happened to have on the lot, a z3m roadster. I called Tim ahead of time and came by as instructed. The price was decent and the car looked OK with a few mismtached/​poorly fitting body panels.
Because of the body issues, I asked Tim if I could leave him with a deposit and put the car up on a lift so I could look for rust, subframe damage, etc. HE FLAT OUT REFUSED TO LET ME DO THIS AND BECAME EXTREMELY DEFENSIVE AND CONFRONTATIONAL.
What do you have to hide, Tim? What kind of car dealer won’t let a potential customer inspect a vehicle?
You made me furious by claiming that you «didn’t have to let me see anything.» Who buys a used car without a full inspection first? What an idiot… I bet it’s a salvage/​auction/​damaged car and he didn’t want me to see it. Buyer beware.

I was looking for a good reliable car and I found it at del Mar auto. Tim was real helpful, I was in and out in less than one hour. I had a minor problem with the car and Tim was on it and took care of it the same day. I had a good experience, I recommend del Mar auto… thanks tim

This morning I rented a car from Hertz (next door) because I lost my Mercedes in a car accident recently) The car lot shop was not open, yet, but i looked around anyway. I saw a Mercedes that interested me. Mileage was low and the car looked ok; but I am very suspicious. Came home and looked up Del Mar Auto as there are a lot of little Used Car Dealers on Lincoln and I am local. I looked at previous reviews. I saw one neg and one positive review. Also did some Kelly blue book research and other;… looking for a similar car and price. I returned this afternoon. A fat guy; sloppily dressed with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth approached me. I began to speak and he turned around and walked away from me. I was beginning to tell him how I lost my Mercedes. He became hostile and rude; and extremely sarcastic. I.E.: I asked if the car had been in any accidents and he said 12. Anyway; I was getting no where with this guy and will never go back. I believe something fishy is going on there as no car that is a 1998 truly can only have 68,000. miles on it. No way. BUYER BEWARE and do your homework on line, before you go there and know what you are up against!
