I walked into this place for a bottle of water, since we walked over from the restaurant a flew blocks over. This store is located on the boardwalk in Venice Beach, and most patrons are locals. The store owner was nice, but the prices are a ripoff. I’m guessing that’s why this place has bad reviews. Nothing much else to add, as I bought my water and went about my business. If I find myself in Venice again, I’ll probably check out other stores.

I got charged for items i did not purchase. The younger guy with the tattoos, who works on the weekends, was the guy who rang me up yesterday. I checked my credit card info by phone today, for something else, and i found out about the extra charges from them. I called the credit card company to report the fraud and i have to have it replaced with a new number. I don’t think this is the first time this guy has done this to me but i wasn’t sure until now. I have noticed other small amounts being charged to my credit card from there on days i didn’t go to Venice Beach but assumed it was a delay in processing. Warning: this guy also works at the only other market(near Brooks) on the boardwalk also. USECASHONLY!!! For now on, if all i have on is my shorts and my card, I’ll walk to Washington Blvd(Venice Pier) edit; or DAVYJONES on Navy st. and Pacific

I went on Saturday May 19th to purchase one item and the clerk ran my card twice! I asked to see receipt when he said the first transaction did not go through and it was canceled. Instead of showing me, he ripped and through in the trash can, then swiped my card himself! I called this morning to speak to owner and the individual acted as if he didn’t speak good English after I explained the situation.
