Avalon Venice on Rose

I’ve been in this apartment complex for 2 ½ years and have throughly enjoyed my stay here. Location of course is fantastic — it’s in the heart of Rose ave with great restaurants and shops right below. And a 10 minute walk to all the great spots on Abbot Kinney, Lincoln, Whole Food, etc. Avalon does a fantastic job at keeping the building clean, quiet, safe and up to date. Yes they are a big corporation, but the people who work here go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Lonnie and Avin, the building’s handymen are super friendly and responsive to maintenance requests. Simone, the building manager is also very responsive and always pleasant to speak with. Big thanks to everyone there who makes this place truly feel like home.

I just want to recognize the amazing help and support from Avin — I was having a problem at my apartment and even though it was Sunday afternoon and a service request had not been submitted, Avin took all the time that was needed until the issue was resolved. Thanks Avin!

This Avalon has nice grounds and an excellent handy man. Lonnie and Avin make this apartment complex feel top notch. They are prompt, thorough and very helpful in any way they can. The apartments are spacious but the appliances and finishes leave a lot to be desired. The location is fantastic and feels very secure.

I was one of the first people to move into Avalon on Rose almost three years ago. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to write a review about the most amazing place I have ever lived during my 18 years in Southern California and I have lived in Santa Monica, Venice, the Hollywood Hills, and now back to my beloved Venice.
Avalon’s apartments are exactly how you see in the photos. They are stylish, HUGE, on one of the best streets in Venice (Rose Avenue) right in the mix of fabulous restaurants, yoga, and retail.
The service at Avalon is impeccable. Simone, the Building Manager, is so kind, generous with her time, and willing to go out of her way for special requests at a moments notice. Gardenia, the Supervisor, also so pleasant and always looking out for the tenants.
Then there is Lonnie, the Lead Maintenance Man and Avin, the Assistance Maintenance Man and AMAZING right hand guy. What a TEAM! These two men who I would say fabulous garden monitors are providers of my many dinners. Lonnie has been with the Avalon since it opened and Avin for quite some time. Between the two of them, one could not ask for better apartment upkeep! These two gentlemen are so respectful, thorough, knowledgeable, timely, caring, and I never feel like I am bothering them even if it’s just replacing a light bulb. They go way above and beyond any building maintenance men you could imagine! On many occasions, they have carried my groceries, brought me packages from the office, fixed things I didn’t even ask for simply because they wanted to. I also happen to know, these two men sweep out patios, clean the Community Room grills (they look brand new!), and help all tenants in ways that are not part of their positions nor even asked for by the tenants. They just see it and do it. Again, why? Impeccable Customer Service!
The Avalon is lucky to have the fabulous staff and all of them are so gifted at customer service and become «friends» of tenants without overstepping boundaries (mostly because we are not allowed to even take them to lunch for a thank you! — ha ha!).
The grounds are glorious! There are several courtyards blooming with flowers and trees. Behind the two block building is a dog run and garden boxes that make buying herbs and vegetables at «Whole Pockets» virtually unnecessary. However, the largest Whole Foods with the smallest parking lot is walking distance so you don’t have to deal with that lot.
There is secure underground parking and it is a secure gated community, I have often referred to it as Fort Knox and one could not feel safer!
There is also a Community Room one can reserve with two bbq grills on two separate patios, multiple large screen tvs, a large kitchen, stylish wooden furniture, a long back wall sofa, and the perfect place for meetings, screenings, and Super Bowl parties!
Obviously I am so grateful to be living at Avalon on Rose. I couldn’t suggest enough that anyone looking for an apartment on the westside come by and have a look at all they have to offer.

My husband and I moved into the Avalon Venice two months ago and we couldn’t be happier. Great location. Newly renovated space. But the best part is the amazing staff at the leasing office, especially Gardenia Cercado, the community manager. Gardenia goes above and beyond her position to accommodate the residents and she’s just a great human being to interact with every day. Living in a place you love with people you enjoy – to me that’s home.

Clean, beautiful apartments. Quiet neighbors, incredible area. You cannot go wrong. One of the best features is the maintenance team and their service order system. Lonnie Brown is one of Avalon Rose’s technicians, who has been extremely prompt in response, professional, and friendly anytime we have even the slightest of issues.
