This is where I buy all my crack. Just kidding, it’s where everyone else buys all their crack.

Okay, I might as well do another yearly update. Mom’s is going strong. Still not leaving their entire tabled area free for customers to eat at, it’s just very public inventory storage. That can unnnerve some people. I just know where to go when the cooler is out of ginger ale. I no longer compete with the guys who work at the bone factory for Mom’s teriyaki. It smells good though. The gas is priced island gas– cheaper than self serve but still eye popping if you’ve ever been off island but it’s the same at the other two stations. It’s clean, it has security cameras and is involved in a progressive program for stopping the use of bad checks: displaying them by the register. I dunno why so many people say it’s dirty. Plenty of places on Vashon have cigarette butts surrounding it.

G H E T T O… but they do have a pretty good chicken(some claim it’s seagull) teriyaki if you like that sort of thing.

I try not to go inside here. Its got the old school gas station vibe going, and I do like some old school action, but the truth is, this place creeps me out every time I go in. Leery people coming in and out, and it feels dirty and disorganized. Staff isn’t particularly friendly either. It’s a gas station, though, right? In summary, if you need gas or convenience items, there are several other places you could go and not feel like you need a shower when you leave.
