I completely understand the person who gave a low rating, because this is a small shop and if you are used to shopping the variety of the big city… well, you don’t have quantity. But if you are looking for a swell shopping experience, a small island shop with a most amiable and conversant shopkeeper, someone who is doing a business for the fun of handling and distributing fun, well-selected items of jewelry, shabby chic, exotic finds… then this is, as I personally rate it(and I’m an antique picker of 40 years experience) a 5-star experience. Don’t go looking for the big score, go looking for a fun experience, whether you buy anything or not… and be sure to chat up the owner, she’s delightful.

I’m sorry but I was not impressed with this shop at all. It’s like all little junky antique stores. I guess you can always find something if you look hard enough. But I don’t understand all the 5 star rating. The lady in the store didn’t even say hello. I don’t know what the one bad review said because it isn’t there anymore, and where did the bad review go? I don’t usually give bad reviews but I just didn’t understand all the other reviews, we came along way to come to this shop because of the praise it got and was very disappointed. I think they need to leave everyone’s reviews on here and let people decide for themselves. There was no place to eat close by. There is a coffee shop across the street, but no other antiques stores, but there is one more in Vashon.

I recently visited this shop and could not have left more delighted with the accent pieces I purchased(including a vintager copper frame lamp shade, a couple of asian-inspired silk accent pillows, and a Thai silk fabric I plan to drape over the top of my daughter’s bed). The prices are fair to say the least, and the owner, Bonnie, is very sweet and professional. She travels internationally regularly so her inventory is ever-changing and has a wonderful eclectic mix of culturally-inspired pieces, local hand-crafted art from Vashon artists as well as international artists, traditional antiques, including beautiful furniture pieces, and more galore. There was an art deco armoire lovingly restored with a Tiffany blue white-wash and it was stunning — but some lucky person already had it tagged for themselves. If it were not for the small size of my Fiat, I would have easily brought home a lot more goodies. I plan to return to this store, especially since it’s only 1.25 hours away from the Eastside and there are many other antique/treasure trove types of stores scattered about all over this beautiful island(that I’m yet to experience firsthand.) I highly recommend it as a must-stop if you ever find yourself in Vashon. Another bonus is that it is right by the beautiful marina and there are places to dine around her shop too — so it would make for a lovely afternoon before this summer is gone.

So Happy my girls and I found this shop on our first visit to Vashon. Bonnie was such fun to talk to, I think I could of stayed there all day. Her prices are better than most shops I have ever been in and such neat and unusual items. I know I went home with one. As for Mack M, he is just an unhappy angry person as you can see reading all the reviews he has written.

A tiny little shop bursting at the seams with cool stuff, from vintage to newer. I lost track of time leafing through boxes of vintage postcards, rummaging around the bric-à-brac covered shelves and rifling through the racks of retro clothes… great to have the fun of discovery. Took me back to my childhood, the kind of shop my mother spent hours happily puttering in and that taught me to love vintage. Bonnie was friendly and relaxed, seemed to be in her natural surroundings. I will make it a point to drive down to Lost & Found whenever I am on Vashon. Even though my visits were spaced close together, the stock had changed quite a bit and there wasn’t a spider web in sight!

Every time I go to Vashon Island I always make a point of visiting Lost and Found. It is a wonderful place, full of treasures and pleasures. I have never left empty handed, always able to find some special gift perfectly suited for the individual(sometimes me) it is destined to go to. Bonnie, the store owner is a treat, warm and welcoming, part of the joy of the visit. Stop in, browse, banter and buy if something suits your fancy. If you don’t find something this time, you will the next.

I can look around my house and see lamps, paintings, room dividers and an assortment of antiques I have purchased from Bonnie. It is just a great little store with wonderful things. I’ve also consigned a variety of items and that works out well too. We love to just stop by and whether I purchase or not, I leave with a lighter step and a smile on my face.

Lost and Found is the soul of the tiny town of Burton on Vashon Island; the prices are quite reasonable and Bonnie has a brilliant eye for treasures of all sorts. The most fun place to shop on the island, and one of the best places for conversation. I don’t know anything about the dog in the hot car or a «Mack M.» but the story does sound a bit improbable–

Lost and Found is my hands-down favorite place to find a gift. Its soulful, eclectic, and affordable mix of treasures never fail me, and I’ve often gone in with a long last minute list. BTW Mack must be wack. I’ve shopped at Lost and Found for a decade, and I know the owner Bonnie. She cares deeply about dogs and would never condone their mistreatment. Sounds like a misunderstanding with aggressive Mack on the attack.

An adorable little shop with an adorable owner. Th shop specialized in quirkly and unusual used finds, like the name suggests. My boyfriend and I both picked up a few treasures to remind us of our stay on Vashon.
