Two and a half if I could. Strange kinda Japanese restaurant. I don’t know if they ever have waitress service. The two times I’ve been there I ordered ‘to go” around 8PM or it was a funny off-hour between lunch and dinner where I ordered at the counter and sat down. The menu is on the wall if that’s any indication. It was very tasty Chicken Teriyaki — grilled and not boiled. The tempura was OK worth ordering again if I go there again but not worth going out of my way. The funny thing was that I ordered veggie tempura with the chicken and there was shrimp on top. Luckily I am not a vegetarian looking for a no-meat tempura. Could have been given more rice. The vegetable mix was the real disappointment. Mostly cabbage and just one little piece of this(carrot) or that(broccoli)

I’ve always loved teriyaki chicken and I used to only stick to one other place that I ate at. But when I tried Youskyme, it became another one of my favorites! The employees are very generous, the food is so so delicious and it was prepared and served very quickly, I think I waited for only 5 minutes before I got my food so that was really appreciated. If you love teriyaki I definitely recommend this place.

Very good food and fast service. I love the teriyaki. you get quite a bit of food for the price which is always good. I frequent this location often just due to the service and how great it is. If you order out its ready in less than 10 minutes

The food here is delicious, healthy and fresh. We had a party of seven and everyone was happy with food. The pork was heavenly tasting not fatty at all. The miso soup was made to order fresh. Wish they had one near my home in CA

Depending on who’s in the kitchen the staff back there are hard to communicate with. My first time here the Udon soup was greasy and although it was not too spicy for me it would probably be for most. Short ribs were tasty but not mostly bone. Heard the Hot chicken was good so I tried it this time around. I got the bowl. Chicken was good but a little too charred for my taste. The veggies consisted mostly of green cabbage with a little purple cabbage and carrots. The carrots were hella salty and inedible. The service is friendly.

I have no idea what these Unilocalers are rating. I ordered the yakisoba noodles #13 also the egg rolls. My wife ordered the teriyaki chicken. First let’s start with the good. It was pretty cheap. The rest is bad. The #13 was not what the menu said I would get. My choice of meat, I chose pork and received chicken. Then the noodles were extremely greasy, the vegetables was just onion and cabbage, the menu just says vegetables but I assumed something other than onion and cabbage. The chicken was soft but really fatty. Then the egg rolls were so repulsive in my mouth that my soul vomited, I tried to give the greasy foul tasting«egg rolls» to my dogs, but they even turned away from them and my pit bull puppy eats anything like a goat. My wife’s dinner she said was okay until she got to the chicken and she is very sensitive to pure chicken or any meat bulky fat. So she had to stop eating. Over all I have no idea what the heck people are rating this place on it must be fast service. But I will never go back and suffer through wasting my money for food my dogs won’t even eat. All this happen today on October 29,2015. I will just stick with the best Japanese food for same price rage, which is Ichi Teriyaki!!! Light weight and delicious for 8.00−10.00 per person. I guess that’s what we get for trying a new place next to a Walmart!!!

Ordered the yakisoba with chicken. My only complaint is I wish it had had more vegetables in it. It was delicious, though. Also good on service: I called ahead for takeout and my call was handled quickly. My order was ready when I got there. Definitely coming back here. I want to try their katsu too.

OUTSTANDING! Youskyme is my absolute favorite teriyaki restaurant in the entire Portland-metro area and the fact that it is right here in Vancouver is such a blessing. I haven’t always been a huge fan of teriyaki and after several subpar encounters in Vancouver this place revived my lost faith that I had in this cuisine. The quality is phenomenal and the unbeatable prices makes this restaurant a must! The two darling young ladies who took my order remind me of my daughters and they make Youskyme feel like a home away from home! The food came out very quick and my water glass was always full. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was too good not to. A must for anyone in the area. 10⁄10

I’ve only had the yakisoba with chicken, but it was so tasty I’ve had it three times now. So far I’ve gotten takeout each time but the restaurant seems to be clean and have a nice ambiance so I’ll probably eat in next time. Looking forward to trying the Gyoza and tempura too.

When you are looking for some good Japanese food in Vancouver this is a good place to start. You won’t find sushi here, but some chicken or steak teriyaki, yank udon, or some pretty nice udon soup I’d try this place out. I generally call ahead and take it to go. The people there are always friendly and service is quick. It tends to the place we go to when we’re looking for something more authentic than fast food, but don’t want to go to a sit down restaurant.

Seriously delicious chicken teriyaki. Every time I go I swear that next time I will try something else but the chicken is just too good to pass up! Portion for price is great, especially if you like rice. The only thing I wish is that it came with a salad instead of steamed cabbage/veggie mix, but I’m sure I could change it if I asked. Who has room for salad anyways with all that chicken! :O There are a couple good teriyaki places in Vancouver, but this one is within walking distance and very yummy!

Takes the teriyaki crave away! Good food all around and even better service. Clean place and quiet.

I love this place. Their salad is the best salad I have had in years. It is so refreshing with just the right amount of tang in the dressing(without being sour or tangy) and the perfect amount of crunch from sliced almonds and a type of white cabbage. We go there chiefly for the salad — it’s THAT good. Most restaurant salads are dismal at best to me, but a special few out there actually get me excited. This is one of those special few. Seriously addictive salad. Also delicious is the Teriyaki Tofu bowl. The only thing I haven’t much cared for is the Yakisoba. I just can’t get myself to like really thick, spaghetti-like Yakisoba and Ichi Teriyaki/Youskyme both have those super thick noodles in a thick sauce. They are also quite clean. If it weren’t for the Yakisoba(I really long for some good Yakisoba, haven’t found any since a place in Portland closed down) I would give them 5 stars.

This place has great food, and the portions are huge! The first time I came in with a friend, I ordered a plate, and thinking that it wasn’t going to be enough(or I was hungry — don’t remember which), so I ordered a «side» of yakisoba noodles. Oh my gosh, both portions were huge! I’m ended up taking a bunch of it home(which was ok). The food tastes fresh and veggies are not overdone. The only two minor complaints I have about the place are: Yakisoba noodles seem to be overcooked and there’s only one way in and out of the place. Could be tricky in an emergency…

This place is AMAZING! I’m mad that I just found this place on the day that I bought a house in Battleground lol. Better than Hula Boy. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem in Vancouver. Keep up the good work! I will be back.

I had the chicken and Gyoza. Food was delicious and came out quickly. Worker was very nice. Only reason I gave four stars is because we were very confused on the flow of the restaurant. Ordered at the counter the sat to have food delivered but there were no signs or anything saying what to do nor did the worker direct us. There were people sitting at the bench by the door so we assumed they were waiting to be seated and waited a while before we realized they had ordered to go. Without a sign it would have been nice for the worker to invite us up to order when she saw us walk in. Then I wasn’t sure if I should pay then or after we ate so I had to ask. Then we didn’t know if we should leave our plates or what so we just brought them to the counter. Just a little clarification on the flow of the restaurant. Will return for delicious food!

What is there not to like. Excellent food(Gyoza and Tempura dishes compliment the teriyaki dishes well), family run, and reasonable. Why would anyone go to Panda Express, if they are within driving distance of Youskyme?

My entire(extended) family LOVES this place! They’re clean, courteous, and have great food! Bonus: they have many dishes that don’t have gluten and other allergens!
