History

Established in 2006.

Writing as a Ghost began with a project to write website content for a personal chef service. The personal chef service didn’t take off, but the writing did.

Whether editing book manuscripts and providing writing coaching services or writing eBooks, SEO articles and website content, Denise Rutledge enjoys ghost-​writing because she enjoys working in the background. If you are like many people who have a service or product to share, or need to be heard, but you find yourself trapped by the inability to put words on paper. Denise has found most people like you are usually very intelligent, but the writing center of the brain isn’t as accessible to them as it is to her.

Denise stays on top of current marketing trends, such as inbound marketing and SEO so her writing offers the edge her clients need in today’s competitive market.

Business Owner

Denise fell in love with the written word in first grade. She intended to follow a career as a journalist when she entered college but discovered that newspaper writing was not her passion. She took a Home Economics degree instead with journalism as her minor.

She didn’t take up writing as a career path until 2006. Since that time, she has discovered that the broad background she was exposed to in her Home Economics degree has made it very easy to work with a broad range of topics – finances, family life, science, computers and marketing – to name a few.

She has also assisted more than one individual with preparing their master’s thesis.
