Thank you to Hyundai Service for taking care of our Sonata! Went thru the frustrations of taking my car to another shop thinking I would save money and Boy! was I wrong!!! The reviews said they were a top notch shop, but had to go back 3 times for work n it still wasn’t right! 3 times was not a charm!
Decided to take it back to Hyundai to get it fixed right… never will I take our car to a 2^nd rate shop. Hyundai, u will always have our business! They listen to ya n are straight up with the issues that need to be looked at n fixed!

I had a recall notice and so I need to get that fixed the Longview dealership had about a month’s wait so I called Vancouver, it was an awful experience. I made the appointment for the recall work so they knew what it was for a week ahead of time. I went in and they said they didn’t have the part, but they did a free inspection and I should think about having the items marked on it fixed when I came back a week later for the warranty work. Well, I am always suspicious of suddenly needing 2 – 3 thousand worth of work on a well maintained car, so I thought it is close to needing an oil change I will just take it my mechanic and see what he says needs fixed. Guess what? Nothing needed done, nothing on the list they marked in their free inspection actually needed to be done. The only thing that came back on my mechanic’s inspection was that when they fixed the recall (oil/​alternator problem) they didn’t put enough oil in back into the engine (I guess they were hoping it would blow and they could overcharge me for repairing it). I also price compared what they said needed to be done with my mechanic it was over twice as much or more than my own mechanic would have charged. Buyer beware here and at Ford and quicklane, because they are all the same owner — who apparently doesn’t care about honest employees. Will never take my car here again even for warranty work.

One of the worst experiences ever! Their customer service is terrible. We went in to buy our 4^th Hyundai, a Sante Fe. I found the one I wanted and negotuated a decent price on it. Then came the trade! Our 2011 Elantra. Excellent condition, new Michelin tires, tinted windows, clean, clean clean! The «closer» (Todd) was a jerk. He said he could get us $ 12,000 on it. He never looked at it, didn’t care about the extras nothing. We said let us think about it. Came back today and he rudely informed us he would give us $ 7000 for it! Then said he would get the book sheet and said ok he would give us $ 8700 for it. He was rude and condescending the entire time. Needless to say we said No Thanks.
When we got home I called and spoke with the Sales Manager Zeke and told him what had happened and that I didn’t appreciate being treated the way he behaved towards us. To tell us yesterday he would give us $ 12,000 then when we came in today no but he could get us $ 10,000 then tell us $ 7400, then $ 8700. He was jerking us around! This was at 2 pm this afternoon. Zeke called us back at 3:30 and told us the car was sold this morning to a dealership in Portland! So this Todd was trying to work a deal on a car that wasn’t even available for sale!
NEVER will I deal with them again. We sold the Elantra tonight to the first man who looked at it for his daughter for $ 10,500! I will get my Santa Fe but we will be going to Oregon to do it!

what awful service. they are oblivious to customer needs and seem to have a strong desire to fulfill some quota for customer service that is non existent.
we were in the market for a Veloster, found the EXACT same car in Bellevue, WA for $ 4,000 less than what they are asking for in Vancouver… it more than covered our weekend stay in Seattle — what an embarrassment for this community.

I rarely write reviews on the internet, but my horrific experience at Vancouver Auto Group warrants the time to warn others so they do not suffer my same fate. I had a Hyundai Tucson with Panoramic sunroof — while driving down I-​84, the sunroof spontaneously exploded. Glass everywhere, small cuts to my face, arms, etc, but luckily no major human damage. I had the car towed in using Hyundai’s auto service (which was great) to the dealership. The dealership denied repairs under warranty saying that a rock must have hit the sunroof. Even though my insurance company suggested I repair my car elsewhere, I decided to stay with the dealership — BIG MISTAKE. The repair estimate was 9 days. On the 9^th day, I got a call saying it wasn’t done yet. Then I got a call every Wednesday saying it still wasn’t done.
The dealership would not offer me a loaner for the delays, but instead offered me a «great deal» on an in-​house rental car. Long story short, I waited over THREE and a HALF WEEKS to have my car repaired. Upon the 5^th completion date delay, they offered to take 1 day off the cost of the rental. Woo. How thoughtful. FINALLY, I get my car back. When I get it home, I start putting everything back in order (they took all my stuff and threw it in the back cargo area). Then I found GLASS. LOTS OF GLASS. In the back seat, and the cargo area. This after they stated some of the delay was because there was so much glass that they had to thoroughly detail and clean the inside. Looks like they didn’t do too good of a detail job.
And by the way, a quick internet search shows that exploding sunroofs are a HUGE problem with Hyundai’s panoramic sunroofs. But since only the Veloster model was recalled for this problem and not the Tucson, I had to go thru my insurance company. Needless to say, 1 day after I finally got my car back, I took it to another dealership and traded it in. Not worth the safety hazard.
My take-​away from this experience is that Vancouver Auto Group is pathetically slow at any repairs, and although they claim great customer service, they made no efforts to ease the problems they caused with their horrendous delays.

One thing about Vancouver Auto Group they are all talk. From their commercials to the deceiving prices posted on on the cars. You guessed it. The price you see is not the price you get.
After test driving a few cars we really liked the Suzuki Kazashi. We liked the looks, mpg and comfort. 4×4, mpg and comfort were the main requirements. We purchased the 10 year extended warranty planning on a long term investment.
The true colors of this dealership came to light when two week after our purchase Suzuki USA went belly up. All the research in the world could not have prepared us for this one. My wife contacted the President of Vancouver Auto group «Jon Creedon» he assured her there would be no problems with service, but if we wanted to get into a different car our investment would not be affected by Suzuki’s decision, that he would take care of us. Checking with CA Suzuki dealers we were told, depending on parts some could take months to come in.
Bottom line! Jon turned my wife over to the fleet manager «James Landon». New car deals offered by James were no better than we could have gotten at a different dealership. The final straw was when James offered us a USED Tucson with our Suzuki trade in for more money than we bought a Tucson, brand new and 1 model year newer at Ron Tonkin Hyundai. After signing the paperwork our salesman drove to Hood River with us to drive our Suzuki sight un seen back to Gresham. That is Customer Service!

I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service. I didn’t get any pressure to by and I got a great deal on my new car. I would go back for service.

It is ironic that our salesperson lamented to me that the dealership was battling bad reviews on Unilocal only to in turn give us poor and shady sales service.
We were in the showroom recently to get more information on a new Sonata and following our test drive, the salesman offered to provide a complimentary trade appraisal. Initially we were okay with this, but when he insisted we would need to complete a credit application to do so, we felt uncomfortable but ultimately agreed if it would give us the trade appraisal and an idea of where the cards would fall on a potential deal. When a sales manager returned asking for more information on how we’d finance, we told him we first interested to see the initial trade appraisal and the numbers on the car as promised. Both salesman got defensive at that point and said they’d «give us a minute to think about it.» When I asked what they wanted us to think about they both walked out without replying. We decided then that the deal was over as we didn’t like the escalation of what happened or not being given the info promised to us despite having our credit run. I told him he would need to do his part before we made any more commitments to buy. Again the second sales manager ignored us as if we were no longer there.
It probably didn’t help that we witnessed another upset customer loudly griping to another manager about their shady service while we were in the showroom. If the dealership wants better ratings from customers and potential customers, then perhaps it should focus on it’s own integrity instead of blaming Unilocal

We have bought 3 cars there in the last year. Zeke, one if the sales managers is a straight shooter and doesn’t jerk you around. If he can do the deal he will tell you and if not he says so and I really appreciate that HOWEVER… I bought a 2013 Ford Edge with a service contract because of high mileage, long story short I had to take the car in to the Ford service side after only 7 months. There were 2 things wrong, one was a canister purge valve and the other was the back up camera just stopped working.
Neither was covered on the service contract and the total was 684.00 for both of them.
The purge valve I get, things happen and did not have a problem paying for, but the back up camera seemed like it should work longer than 2 years and was about 300.00 of the total
I was advised to talk to the sales department to maybe help with the cost. Zeke was gone and so I called to talk to the sale manager on duty and his name was James Joy, I told the person that answered that I was a little upset and wished to talk to him. It went straight to voice mail on the transfer, I was across the street at Ford service so I walked over. He was sitting at his desk and I didn’t see any deals being worked but maybe he was busy so they sent Scott Hiltz to talk to me.
I explained what was wrong and asked if maybe they could split the cost of the back up camera. His response was to call Zeke, maybe he could help, but Sales does not pay for people’s repair bills.
I do understand I bought a used car, however, the way I was treated by the Hyundai side will always be with me and when people ask me about them, my recommendation will be less than glowing.

I cannot emphasize enough how wonderfully professional John Wheeler, Jim Joy and the rest of the Vancouver Hyundai team were, during my research, test driving and purchase process. They went over and above the call of duty, including coming to my home to tweak a couple of minor things and ensure my 100% satisfaction. I have never had a car-​buying experience that was this smooth and non-​pressured. The staff was well-​educated on the models and were honest with me on features to focus on, as well as features I could probably do without, based on my preferences. They based these recommendations on what I told them I was looking for. They listened. They are teachers as well as salesmen, and I never felt that uncomfortable «hard sell». As a female shopper on a car lot, trust me, this means a lot. In addition, the car I bought was deeply discounted and I’m sure they made little commission on it, and yet they treated me as a valued customer. As a very picky shopper it’s rare that I have no criticism about a product or service but the truth is, this experience was perfect. Could not have been better. Thanks Vancouver Hyundai, I LOVE MY NEW WHEELS!

I attempted to buy a car from these folks, but I should have read reviews here first.
Luckily, I stopped the process before it got too far, and for you dear reader, you get my story.
I initially found the car I want in their inventory on their website, and went thru the hoops to get a quote on the car. On the web page, there is a selection for preferred means of contact. I selected email, I don’t particularly like yammering on the phone as it is, and email is a nice concise way to get results. Usually.
Their emails hit my SPAM folder by default.
Their email isn’t even handled by their own domain, it’s processed thru a domain called ‘lead​crm​.com’. This is a bit unprofessional, and frankly, not confidence inspiring in the business. Using a service called ‘leadcrm’ is letting customers know how your business works (ie, they can see that they are ‘leads’, processed from whatever sources you have), and doesn’t really treat them as if they are working with a person.
The content of their emails *looks* like it’s SPAM. Real email doesn’t encapsulate the entire message in an outlined box with a huge banner, and a colored background. Given that email viewable everywhere, to add such irritating affectations just increases the chance that (a) I won’t see it because it looks like SPAM. and (b) that if I do get it on my phone, it’s difficult to read.
Right after they sent me a SPAM-​looking email, they immediately jumped on the phone, and called me, when I explicitly marked my preferred contact as ‘email’ on the form that I filled out. Again, this demonstrates a lack of courtesy around the way I’d like to do business. Perhaps I don’t have the time to answer each phone call as they come in, nor do I wish to sit and talk when I have many things to do.
Or maybe I just don’t actually like talking on the phone because I don’t hear so well, and I really do prefer to email.
Regardless, I pressed on.
Their initial email quoted a price, and mentioned that includes incentives or discounts and not all customers may qualify. So I emailed back finding out what they were specifically, to ensure I qualify for them. They were standard things, and I did qualify. Yay for me.
And soon thereafter, the actual spam from them started flowing. I got an email from them for a Cancer Fundraiser they’re holding. I’m not even a customer yet, and they’re dumping unsolicited crap on me. *sigh*
Next I asked about the price of an extended warranty, as it was one of the things that I was interested in.
Rather than actually answering my question they emailed me back and said:
” Garrett,
Cost for an extended warranty is dependent upon what type of coverage. The finance manager would be happy to go over that with you when you are here.“
Yeah. Right, I’m going to drive all the way there to discuss the terms of buying a car, when I can do that from where I am.
She couldn’t be bothered to even tell me some options. No, stick to your guns guys, the only way they can sell cars if by forcing you to come to their store.
Well, No thanks. After their lack of courtesy, poor attention to detail, and general unprofessionalism, I’ll pass thanks.

I am looking to replace my Acura RL 2006. It has 112,000 miles. I was actually in market for BMW Mercedes or Audi. I am leaning toward the Audi A6 TDI but $ 67 000 price tag is steep. So I heard about Genesis 2015. They had the AWD but I did not like the color.
I walked toward the show room. I was immediately greeted by a sales person. After 2 sentences, he had to leave due to an urgent call. I was left there on my own. I saw at least 3 sales person doing nothing. I felt quite awkward. I spent 5−10min standing by the car and I left.
I own Acura, BMW, and Lexus. I have been to all three dealers for maintenance. In all those dealers, I was greeted by sales personnels as soon as I walked near the showroom. When I inform the sales staff I was just in for maintenance, they made me feel good about owning their brands. They always asked me if I had any questions about my car or upcoming models.
I gave hyundai a chance. Even if the genesis 2015, somehow is better than the Audi Mercedes or BMW, I would not buy their genesis because of the horrible service.

I started off with a pleasant and informative phone call to schedule an appointment which I was surprised to be able to schedule an appointment the same week.
I was further surprised by how quickly they did the work on my vehicle (2012 Hyundai Elantra GLS.) I was scheduled to drop the vehicle off at 10 a.m. I was told the vehicle would be done by 3 p.m., but it was actually finished and all washed and nearly perfect by 1:30. Now there’s a rarity… that a business gets something done significantly early.
I brought my car in to have a couple of issues fixed that had to do with the company’s recall as well as a couple of other items. Everything was taken care of AND the car was washed beautifully.
So why not a higher rating? Well because unlike back home in Orange County I was not greeted when I pulled up to the front door. I sat their for about 3 or 4 minutes before I realized nobody was coming out and when I walked in everyone just kept about their business. I realize this is a small thing, but it is honestly the little things that really help kick things up. Well that and I informed them that one of the issues I had was the need to fill up my windshield wiper fluid. They assured me that they do a 78 point inspection and topping off the fluids was part of that inspection. Filling this fluid up or at least putting some in was an important part of my visit because I was completely empty. They did not end up putting any in at all because when I got home a couple of days later I tried using my Windshield Wiper Cleaner, but there was still none. I now have to drive out to them which is not very close.

I came to this Hyundai dealer for an oil change on my car. I was quoted that as an Oregon resident I would not be charged sales tax. In the inspection, it was recommended that I get a new air filter and a new pollen filter, quoted at $ 30 and $ 60 respectively. My bill was almost $ 50 more than expected. Service to install the filters was as much as the actual cost of the filters and I was charged tax on the labor despite their earlier promises. When I brought the discrepancy between quote and bill to the manager, he blamed me and was both rude and insulting. I would rather change my own oil than EVER offer my business to this dealer again.

Stay away from this dealership… I drove 2 hours only to findout that the vehicle was not what they described over the phone… Mark Little and John were not honest about the condition of the vehicle… The Sls Mgr (Jim or John) was rude, nasty and Disrespectable… He could careless on what his salesmen did… When I tried to negotiate the price the Sls Mgr got nastier… Stay away… There are other Dealerships to conduct business with… I was not told about the $ 150 Doc Fee… They were not truthful about anything…

The service here is complete crap, our car is great minus the fact they KEPT onscrewing with us on prices. One day it’s a great price then they hike up everything.
MAKE SURE you get everything written down on paper, do not believe anything they have to say they will smile but as soon as you sit down it’s a whole different game. These people are the definition of sales sharks, they will rip your throat open sit idly while they bleed you for money.
I WILL NEVER suggest your business to anyone.

If my only experience was with Ray Coons the rating would probably be higher. However, the senior salesmen Ray consulted to see if there were any other cars that would possibly meet my desires, completely ruined my experience. Bruce Reed was trying to hard sell me into sub par choices compared to what I wanted, and they were nothing like the options Ray, who listened to my desires, had already shown me.
To be fair and honest I am not an easy sale, I know what I want and I won’t waste anyone’s time, either you have what I’m after or not… I’m not expecting you to make a newer $ 9K corolla with 50K miles and a manual transmission show up on your lot, I only expected to be shown comparable cars. When Bruce asked me if a hatch was something I’d consider and I plainly, in English, told him that is not an option he got the great idea that it meant yes, ran got this super sized Suzuki version of a smart car and said what about this… of course my reaction was you’ve got to be f*in kidding me. As he looks shocked and amazed that I wouldn’t be appreciative of the hunk of junk (IMO) before me. Then he proceeded to have an arrogant attitude full of disrespect because he couldn’t strong arm me into a car I had no desire to ever own. Even went so far as to tell me to «…get the f*** outta of here then, GOOD BYE!»
So I did just that I went across the street to their Ford store to speak to a manager there. Unfortunately none were available, was told I could speak to Keith at the Hyundai dealership but after my bad experience I wanted to be no where near Bruce. When I discussed the problem with the salesmen at the Ford location and told them who caused the problem the consensus of all present was ‘oh yeah you’re not the first to complain about him’ along with other personalized remarks about Bruce and not a one had a good thing to say.
If I wanted another long term car payment I would be back to buy the brand new super sexy Hyundai Elantra coupe they had on the lot, and I would make sure Bruce has nothing to do with the sale! If they had a used one (which is impossible because its new this year) I would consider it as well. If you want a new Hyundai Ray Coons is an EXCELLENT salesperson that actually listens to what you want, at this point I have not moved any further than tire kicking with this dealership so I am unaware of their closing practices.
I hope this helps people and possibly gets the attention of higher ups that were not available for me to complain in person to today, I will be in on Monday this is not the way a customer should be treated.

One of the worst shopping experiences I have had. I came in October 2009 looking at a Hyundai Elantra Touring. Dealer markup price put it over $ 20,000 when the MSRP on it was less than $ 18K. It had a manual transmission, which is what I had preferred in order to save some money b/​c the auto transmission was almost $ 800 more. I started negotiating on the car and they wouldn’t budge on the price.
They wanted info on my current car, which was a near pristine 1989 Volvo 240 wagon. They offered me $ 500 for my car. I told them I could easily sell it on my own for $ 3000. The sales manager was rude, and thought I was nuts for thinking so. He suggested selling the Volvo and coming in with the cash. I took my car home, posted it on Craigslist and sold it for $ 3250 with 3 hours.
I went back to the dealership the next day. The sales manager wasn’t willing to discuss a fair price for the car and was exceptionally rude.
I drove from Vancouver, WA out to Hillsboro Hyundai where I bought the exact same car, but with more features for $ 16,995. Though Hillsboro wasn’t perfect, in the end, I drove away with the vehicle I wanted for much less than Vancouver Hyundai was willing to sell it for, and more importantly was treated with respect as any customer should.
Don’t waste your time here.
