Urgent Medical Center

Really would like to give this place a better rating, as the MD there is great and listens to you and gives you his full attention, however the real problem is the support staff. It has been over 3 weeks now and they still haven’t got my referral for an MRI submitted correctly to insurance, let alone my request to see a specialist. They say oh its the insurance, and every time i call my insurance, guess what the problem is??? THE CLINIC! They are incompetent at sending the most basic request to insurance so i can find out if i require surgery and here i am suffering for over three weeks and still nowhere. I have had to call them multiple times to submit the correct paper work to insurance and they keep doing it wrong. The level of incompetence is mind blowing!!!

I personally do not go here, but have had other family come here as their PCP. Recently we came in to get immunization shots and they told us they were no longer accepting Molina insurance. It would’ve been nice and professional of them to let their patients who have Molina ahead of time instead of telling them once they got there. Service was okay, but now I understand why it’s been rated so low. Thank you for not accepting Molina because now we know to find better services elsewhere.

Fat-​antagonizing jerks. Badgered me about my blood pressure at least once each, if not twice. At one point, in violation of HIPAA.

I want to give this place a higher rating because I really like my provider. He listens and pays thoughtful attention to everything I say and I’ve never had any problem getting medications or refills. My problem is solely with the support staff. You would expect an urgent care clinic to have efficient employees, but apparently your expectations would be too high. They have a problem with my insurance every time I go in. Every. Single. Time. They scheduled me for a procedure with a provider who does not provide said procedure. As if they are not bad enough, they have one referrals person handling all referrals, so let’s just say she misses things and seems to do bare minimum for the people she’s in a position to come through for. I finally asked my insurance for a new card with them PRINTED ON THERE as my PCP, so hopefully that’ll clear things up for the geniuses behind the desk. Again, if you’re looking for a great provider, schedule an appt with Bryan Rhoads, as long as you’re willing to deal with the nightmare that does its best to preclude your appointment.

My whole experience here was just mediocre. Every woman working there was just unhelpful. At the front desk I wasn’t greeted just asked lots of questions about my insurance and they reluctantly took me. I sprained my ankle and it was 6pm so I needed something. The extern who came to get me didn’t even think of getting a wheelchair. Her name was Chelsea. It looked like it was her very first day working and everything she did was choppy confusing and unconfident. Just didn’t have professional communication skills. The lady who did the X-​Ray was equally lackluster. Just no effort by anyone to serve the patient and pay attention. The doctor Patricia Moran was nice and all but extremely rushed and unclear on what happened. She said a radiologist would call me the next day about my X-​ray but that never happened. None of these workers had a passion for healthcare or helping people so honestly why don’t they just go work at 7 – 11? Zero focus on helping people.

I will give it a zero star if there is one available. This ‘Urgent Medical Center’ close to Vancouver Mall is really a joke ! I went in to this clinic for major purpose of getting my medication refill but sort of IN VAIN. Very disappointed I was assigned to see Valerie Smith, D.O. for a scheduled appointment on Dec. 8, 2014 (Monday). I have been taking one kind of medication (0.5 mg, 3 times a day, 90 pills/​month) for more than 10 years. I normally got one year’s refill supply from my previous doctor every year I went in for annual examination without any problem. The reason I sought a new primary doctor was that the doctor that prescribed me the medication retired recently. After talk with Valerie Smith, D. O I doubt she has any knowledge about the symptom I have and I don’t even think she is qualified to be a ‘doctor’. Ironically she prescribed me a LOW DOSE 0.25 mg pill? and she was so generous (?) to prescribe me 20 of 0.25 mg pill and no refill. She said that is their policy that you need to come in for an office visit to get a refill. Do they think patients are money making machine or what ??? OK so I brought the prescription she wrote to my local pharmacy. The pharmacist was laughing loud and said that how could this doctor be claimed as a doctor that she does not even know that the lowest dosage of that kind of medication is 0.5 mg. The pharmacist said if you want a lower dosage than 0.5 mg then only the powder form for the babies is available. Isn’t that ridiculous? The pharmacist I talked to promised to contact with that clinic. So far 36 hours gone by I have not heard anything from either clinic or pharmacy. It is really a waste of time going into this clinic and being charged an un-​useful consultation. I will contest this charge when the bill comes in. Avoid this ‘Urgent’ Medical Center in every event. Don’t waste your time and money.

The female doctor didnt wear ID and was horrible. Barely saw me for 3 minutes, sent me home, i was worse the next day. I called, she had the receptionest call me 4 hours later saying .just take some ibuprophen…
