Timber windows did an excellent job with the installation of the hardy plank siding on our house. We weren’t able to have all of the siding installed at once so the front of the house was done by them 2 years ago. We were impressed with their professionalism and sale associate, and the workmanship last time so when we were ready to finish, we called them back. They were having a promotion in the winter so we had it done a little ahead of time but the price break was well worth it.
We tore off the old siding ourself, except the side where the house is exposed to the rain. We has arranges in our price for them to tear off the one side. They put in the vents and reinstalled the lighting fixtures as well and made sure they were working properly. Since we needed a new vent put at the end of the house they found a beautiful one to go with the shake siding for the peak at what I thought was a very reasonable extra charge. They hauled away the old siding that we had piled up for them next to our driveway. They swept off the deck and cleaned up everything so it was neater than when they came. In both cases, they did a great job in making sure that the siding, trim, and soffets were as we wanted them.
The workers were friendly and efficient. I felt sorry for them working in the rain showers, but they never complained.
I would highly recommend Timber Windows to anyone who is going to have home improvements done.

My father-​in-​law hired Timber to install a roof 2.5 years ago. They sold him on it largely because of the «transferability» of the warranty. They were to pay special attention to the chimney area, which had leaked previously. Unfortunately my F-​I-​L passed away last year, and we «inherited» the house. (Technically, ownership of the house hasn’t changed, as it’s owned in a family trust.) We discovered that the roof is still leaking around the chimney and contacted Timber to see if they could come take a look at it. They said they’d be glad to come look at it, for a $ 300 fee! I questioned the fee, of course, and they explained that although the material warranty is transferable, the service warranty is not. This seems crazy. I explained that ownership of the house hasn’t changed, but they still insisted that they would need to charge the fee. Obviously we’re not going to pay them $ 300, and will find another company to repair the problem. It sucks for us, but we feel bad for other folks who will be bamboozled into buying their service based on the transferability of the warranty. It’s clearly just a marketing tactic, and they don’t stand behind their work.

I’ve had my roof for over a year now and it’s been fantastic. Timber did a great job removing the old roof and installing the new one. It went up fast and the clean up was also great. I got an expensive roof, but it comes with a lifetime warranty and is transferable. I’ve watched the landlord of a house across the street put a cheap roof on and I’m so glad I didn’t do that. Yes my roof was expensive but it’s a transferable
Lifetime warranty and its added significant value to my home.
I also like that the roofers who came it took the time to show me the process and took the time to show me the damage to my old roof and where it was rotting. I now have the confidence that my roof will be fine this winter and it was fine last winte through some horrible storms where my neighbors lost shingles but I was fine.
Tl:dr I got a high quality roof for a fair price and am very happy with it. Quality doesn’t come cheap but the peace of mind is worth it.

I used Timber roofing for my house in portland great sales person NOT PUSHY! The job was done on time and a beautiful job. People stopped and asked who did our roof. amazing attention to detail. I am now requesting a bid on my sons house. highly recommend this company. Sherry C.

Absolutely terrible customer service and follow through. Zero stars if it were possible.
I emailed them to get an estimate for siding and window replacement on my house in July. They called me back and I spoke at least 4 times with the woman on the phone before setting an appointment time. She said they would call the day before to confirm. On the day of the appointment I still hadn’t received a call. I called and the man on the phone said there was no appointment in the books. What?!? He said he would meet me there though and would get everything straightened out. He was late, we spent an hour walking around the house taking measurements of all windows and siding. He said he would email an estimate and we parted.
Fast forward 2 weeks and nothing. I emailed. Fast forward two more weeks, nothing. I called and left a message. Two more weeks and I called again. At this point I already decided this was a poorly run company and they did not deserve my work. I was told on the phone that the person that was working on my estimate was on vacation and would get back to me next week. Fast forward two more weeks and still nothing.
What a waste of time. If they can’t even get the paperwork organized how were they going to perform actually doing work? It was a substantial project too. Over $ 20k worth of work.
I received an email this week from the company apologizing and saying they had no record of my estimate or appointment in their system, and they understood my frustration. They said they would work harder to make sure this doesn’t happen to others.

I wish I had never done business with them. I cannot say anything positive about their craftsmanship, integrity, communication, or follow-​through.

The company is bogus.
1– they emailed me back and forth about setting up appointment, and yet, the person was about 30 min late.
2– they have weird ‘distribution’ of jobs. One person is responsible for windows only, while the other is for roof and windows only. Just confusing.
3– after they looked around, wrote down all my projects, they said that they will give me an estimate. I waited and waited and waited, and about 10 days later, I emailed them and asked if they are still in. They said — they have to come over with estimate… ha???
OK.
4– another emailing back and forth regarding time of meeting on my premises.
we finally agreed on 12 pm on Saturday. I had to cancel few things in my life just to be available for that meeting.
Well. They stood me up. I emailed them by 12.45pm… and they never even replied. wow.

Sexist and unprofessional. I’m RAGING.
First, they stood me up last weekend after a confirmed appointment.
Second, when I gave them a second chance and called to reschedule, the person I spoke with didn’t want to book an appointment for a quote unless all «decision making parties» were available — e.g. my partner, who happens to be of the male gender (and isn’t even a legal owner of the home)!

I haven’t yet worked with this company but I am not sure that I will based on the interaction I just had. A guy from this company came to my door yesterday because they are working on a roof in my neighborhood. He was very friendly, his name is Travis. We talked a bit and I agreed to have someone come by for a free estimate the next day on my back door, a slider from the ‘70s installed backwards. First, they called me to verify the time of my free estimate and asked if I could change it to 2pm instead. I agreed to 2. So, today an hour before my appointment time, someone shows up. I said, «Oh, you’re an hour early,» and he replied, «Yeah I’m a little early, is that ok?» Sure, though I was in the middle of some stuff. He came in, didn’t do any of the things Travis explained would happen. Travis said measurements would be taken, and then he’d show me what door options were available and then we’d discuss pricing. This man didn’t take any measurements, nor show me the options, nor even discuss the options. He took one look and said, «Okay, well we’d be looking at about four weeks out because we’d have to order the door, and it’d be about $ 1750.» No discussion on double pane, triple pane, etc. and no paperwork, nothing to show me. I think he wanted to be in and out because he realized my windows are rather new and he couldn’t upsell me on a full window job. At least, that’s how I took it. He was in and out in under five minutes. I don’t think I’ll be contacting them when I’m ready for my door replacement.
