The regular cheeseburger I had here was mediocre at best. The bun was too thick and they use frozen patties(not fresh made). The most disappointing thing about my lunch here was the $ 9.36 I paid for the burger and a(very) small side of tater tots; no drink. Won’t be coming back.

So disappointed. Bought a cheese burger, hamburger, onion rings and fries and a large chocolate malt. First, I’m a great lover of bread but these sort of mock brioche rolls they use for buns completely drown out the tasteless burger. I had to take the top bun off entirely. It’s just not good and not what it used to be. The lettuce on my burger consisted of a ball shaped inner core of iceberg lettuce. The fry sauce is a barbeque sauce derivative which would be fine if it did not resemble the old secret sauce in texture and color. The meat tasted of nothing nor did the cheese. The onion rings are sold at an extra two bucks a go and you get just a couple and they are not special they seem panko breaded as opposed to battered. The malt was good. No whip cream though, which is fine but kind of a bummer

Like the atmosphere, burgers were ok but nothing to write home about. Way overpriced. The milkshake was watery and not what I expected from a place advertising it’s milkshakes all over the walls and windows.

Pretty underwhelming really. Been there twice now. Burgers were bland but the toppings(onions, lettuce, etc) were fresh. Fries were excellent but skimpy on portion.

The stars do not reflect the food, because from what little I’ve had(mostly ice cream and shakes), it’s been great. What’s so disappointing is how they close early on a frequent basis. The sign out front says open until 9pm, online says 9pm, but I’ve gone three times between 6:45 — 6:55pm with people inside eating, lit up sign is on saying open, and no one answers at the drive thru and the doors are locked. Talk about false advertising! One more thing to add, they had a big banner our front advertising summer hours(close at 9pm) at least a month before summer so it was confusing thinking they were already open for summer hours when they weren’t. But even now that it is summer, they apparently still close at 7. Well, make that 6:40.

Service and food were both dry and terrible. McDonald’s is better! Grade school cafeteria food is better. Seriously. Have the reviewers never traveled off Evergreen Blvd? The only worse that it could get is if the patty was missing, because then all there’d be left would be a piece of lettuce between a pair of cold buns. I asked for a burger and the waitress clarified that there was no cheese on that specific burger. It came with cheese just like I had pointed out on the menu(but apparently at The Igloo the customer is always wrong). She took it back. They scraped off the cheese and gave it back in under half a minute. If you sit at the table by the front door(which doesn’t close on its own and kept getting left open the entire time I was there) you’ll experience nice blustery freezing sub zero temperatures in winter months while waiting for your skimpy patty slapped between refrigerator cold high school cafeteria buns. Summary: Cold buns. Cold seating if visiting in winter. Cold service. With that I’ll give the owner 4 stars for appropriately naming the restaurant the Igloo. But the overall experience gets NOSTARS if Unilocal would allow it!

salt, salt and more salt. It seems to be the only seasoning they use and they use a lot! we won’t be returning.

Great burgers and amazing fries. Juicy, fresh ingredients, not too big, and the sauce… I couldn’t get enough. A classic style, good feel, and simple. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Food was good as usual but when we walked in all tables but one were dirty! No excuse for that. Luckily no one was inside dining so we got only clean table.

Food was very underwhelming. Got the jalapenos burger upgraded to onion rings with a peanut butter milkshake. Milkshake was watery too much milk and very dull flavors. Burger was bland and onion rings had almost no flavor. You would think with being open this long they could have perfected such a limited menu. Décor is classic 50s and kind of cool. Just a shame the food didn’t live up to the expectations. Will not be back.

We had delicious made-to-order burgers(blue cheese + bacon, jalapeño, or standard — all 1⁄3 lb with fresh, hearty buns), tasty tots & fries, a yummy sweet fry sauce, and thick & satisfying milkshakes — but best of all was the VERY attentive & kind waitstaff. A crush of students came in wanting milkshakes just as our family was deciding on our meal; the lead guy came over to see if we were ready to order so he could get our food in to the cook before getting busy on the shakes. Classy, comfortable establishment, well worth our trip across town.

3 stars for the service, the resturant was cute, clean. My complaint is the burger patty, it’s frozen, premade somewhere else, it was tough, and chewy and dense like a factory burger. If they do a fresh in house grind and make their own patties, this would be a 5 star joint. I hope the owner reads this and fixes it.

I’m happy I was able to find this place kind of hidden. But is a great small place the food is awesome. I like the vibe people who work there very friendly.

Extra star for the retro diner vibes, but the food was awful. Burgers were thin, dry and tough, and the milkshakes were basically thickened chocolate milk. I didn’t finish either of mine. Good curly fries, though.

This place was great! We normally eat at places like Red Robin and Apple Bees, was I was amazed at the flavor that was packed into my fresh burger. The food was hot and fresh. The place is clean and there overall volume was low enough that I was actually able to communicate with my wife! :) The selection is limited, but what they do offer is great. Someone peviously posted that they have philly cheese steak sandwiches, but they don’t. I even requested it and the guy said they have never offered them. If you’re looking for an affordable quite meal, I highly recommend the Igloo.

This is a cute retro diner. It was staffed by 2 people when we were there and they were pretty busy. We served ourselves for the most part, and even had to remind them of items we had ordered, but had been forgotten. So, not much customer service was to be had. We even brought our dishes back to the service counter because we weren’t really clear as to where they should go. The food was okay, but nothing spectacular. It’s a neat place to go for a little something different. They do have outdoor seating.
