Pig Heaven Barbeque

Oh how I want to rate this place higher… but I cant.
The pros:
Really nice employees/​owners
Really nice atmosphere, homey and comfortable
Live music on the weekends
Excellent brisket baked beans!!!
The cons:
Food is really not that good. The pulled pork was just okay, lacking in sauce and all together a bit dry. They layer the pork in a hoagie roll and place the sauce on top, making for a fairly dry sandwich as the sauce never reaches most of the meat.
The meat is lacking flavor, though it is tender.
The sauce has no kick… you can ask for spicier sauce, but the basic is pretty flavorless.
The coleslaw is down right bad. You could improve on this coleslaw by going to the grocery store and buying a tub of store brand… it is that bad. It has the flavor of really bland mayo and is not just a little off putting.
I really wanted to like this place, as it seems to be a mom and pop joint and has a really down home atmosphere… but the food was just okay. The brisket baked beans were excellent, flavorful, meaty, with just a little pepper kick, but I cant get past the lack of flavor and the juiciness in everything else.
