Oscar Nails

So let me start off by saying I was referred to Daisy by two friends who are regulars there. My nail lady is out of town and I wanted my nails done for memorial weekend. My friends daughter and I got our nails done. When we got there it was 7:15pm they had 15mins to close I told them I would go back another day but Daisy and her mom Ann assured me they would do what I wanted no matter how long it would take and insisted I stay to get my nails done. so I sit down and tell her what I want. So first thing that went wrong was I wanted white French tip nails. I told daisy I didn’t want the tip to far back and only on the edge of my nail. She starts applying the nails and did exactly what I told her not to. After I see how far down she was putting the tips I told her I didn’t want white tips. She got so mad and changed her attitude from very sweet to very serious. I apologized she said it was ok and she soaked them off then applied regular tips, So I asked her to make them coffin shape instead. While applying the nails I told her she had put 3 nails on crooked and that it looked bad and uneven. She reassured me she would fix them. When it was time to cut the nails to give them shape they were very uneven and very off, the shapes and forms didn’t all match. She again then said they would be even when she applied acrylic. While applying the acrylic the nails look super lumpy and uneven, they looked more messed up then before. She assured me the drilling and buffing would make them even and smooth. She starts drilling my nails and I’m looking at her with my eyes widen because how bad the nails looked. My right & left pointer finger were the most uneven and crooked. When I showed her how bad they were She had the audacity and nerve to say it was my fingers, that they were crooked and uneven! Excuse me my nails and fingers where fine and straight until you applied the tips! She starts drilling my nails then has me switch place with my friend because her mom is doing her nails really bad. Things get worst with her mom Ann. She Continues to finish drilling and filling my nails. My nails have a lot of acrylic on the sides and on my skin, she says It will come off when I wash my hands. She then sends me to wash my hands and I feel how lumpy and uneven they are. I’m pretty mad by now but said nothing hoping the paint job was good. While applying the gel polish I can see how bad she is doing it. She wasn’t putting enough polish on the brush and kept having to re dip the brush making the paint job really bad. The first coat she did was very translucent, I told her and she said the second coat was going to make them very black and even. I let the first coat dry and she does the second coat. The right hand all nails are dark and even. But the left hand is very translucent with spots that were dark and other that weren’t. I tell her I can see through my nails and Daisy and Ann start telling me it’s my eyes I showed them how translucent they are and they act stupid saying they see them black and see no translucent parts. I told them again how translucent they were. What Ann did made me almost loose my cool and flip on her. She grabbed my fingers and bent them and pulled them to see herself. I seriously thought I was going to flip idk how I kept my cool to be honest. She very rudely tells me she can apply a 3^rd coat but that if it chips tomorrow it’s not their fault she continues saying the nails aren’t translucent. I’m heated by then and tell her to leave it as it not knowing if she would make it worst. While paying Ann has the nerve to ask me for a tip 2 times. She charged me $ 45 dollars for very bad nails. So I pay and leave pissed off. My nails are the worst I have ever gotten. They look nothing like coffin nails and more like long round nails. The lumpiness of the nails reminds me of the first time I got my nails done at a beauty school, they were lumpy and this bad of quality. The girl who did them at the school said I was her first person she was practicing nails on. Daisy said she had 10years of experience, If that really was true my nails wouldn’t look how bad they do. I’m going to call tomorrow and ask for my money back. My friends nails were just as bad and uneven. My nails are so bad I want to wear gloves and hide them. If there was a way I could give a negative score I would. Both my friends who referred me said they would no longer be going there. The worst nail experience of all time!

I’m giving this place 3 stars because I really loved their customer service, but didn’t like how my nails came out too much, i don’t know if it was because the salon itself was super busy or what but she didn’t do a good job of making my nails look nice and neat there was excess acrylic on the sides and the nail polish was not good I had to take the polish off and redo it myself because she just missed a bunch of the nail. I will probably not be coming back.

If I could give No stars I would. Ok, so to reward my daughter for being an excellent student we came here to get a pedicure. I asked for two basic pedicures the $ 21 dollar one. No frills, no flowers just a nice relaxing time with my daughter. Anna took to my daughter enjoying her company and politeness and asked if she wanted her nails painted for no charge as this was her first time being to a spa and she really liked my daughter. WOW. I was shocked and impressed with his lady, but yet my daughter is wonderful! So as I begin to pay I notice she had charged me not only for my daughter’s nails being painted ALSO upgraded my pedicure unbenounced to me to a deluxe pedicure price. So I confronted her as told her this was UNACCEPTABLE. WHY DID THIS LADY ANNA PROCEED TO YELL, CURSE, AND HOLD ME HOSTAGE IN THE NAIL SHOP??? I quickly gave my daughter my keys to the car and told her to wait in the car. I then realized this lady was not allowed to hold me hostage??? WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? So I walked out the shop with 3 ladies following me like a criminal and I proceeded to explain to them that I was going to my car to wait for the cops. The cops agreed with me especially after speaking to my daughter and confirming that Anna told her the nails were free and the pedicure was to be the basic pedi. Obviously these ladies are SCAM ARTIST and were not backing down so since I had my daughter we agreed to pay a lesser price than what they wanted just to leave, so ANNA still ended up charging me $ 1 more than what the cops, anna, and myself had agreed. Its like she had to have the last laugh and get that greedy extra dollar. Let me point out I have THOUSANDS in my bank account and money certainly wasn’t the issue, the principle was more important. Anna had the audacity to yell, curse, accuse me of not being able to pay, AND STAND IN FRONT OF THE DOOR LIKE IM SOME KIND OF CRIMINAL/​HOSTAGE. No, no, no, I would NEVER not pay for a service that was given to me and I tried to, explain that as I was trying to get to my car to call the cops. (My phone was in the car) GO THERE IF YOU WANT EXTRA CHARGES, 2 MIN MASSAGES, AND MESSED UP LOOKING NAILS ON TOP OF A PERSON, THAT WOULD CURSE IN FRONT OF KIDS AND STEP UP TO YOU IN A PHYSICAL MANNER WHEN SHE GETS UPSET. she literally went from 1 to 100 with no type of professionalism. Very bad service will not return obviously. Go at your own risk
HOW IS THIS THE SECOND TIME IVE DONE THIS WHEN I JUST MOVED TO WASHINGTON DAYS AGO AND HAVE NEVER EVER STEPPED FOOT IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT??? ANNA SHOULD KNOW THIS AS SHE TOOK DOWN MY CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATE AND MY VEHICLE IS YET TO EVEN BE REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON SINCE I AM A NEWLY ARRIVING RESIDENT. SO NOW YOU WANT TO MAKE FALSE ACCUSATIONS I WILL CONTACT MY LAWYER. I HAVE MY DAUGHTER AS A RELIABLE WITNESS TO CONTEST TO THE FACT THAT ANNA STATED SEVERAL TIMES NAILS WERE FREE AND THAT I WANTED THE BASIC/​CHEAPEST PEDICURE WHICH IS 21 DOLLARS EACH NOT THE UPGRADED PEDICURE WITH THE WAX FOR 24.

Awesome joint! The ladies here have nails DOWN! It’s the only place I’ve ever been where they listened to me about my cuticle-​cutting phobia and actually slowed down and took their time to do it right…(ie without drawing blood). They’re very friendly and kind, and the prices are super reasonable.

So the first time I went to Oscar nails, I had a great experience. Nails were shaped good, Polish and design were on point.
Second time I went in a week later for a fill (cause my nails grew fast), shorten and shape change. I came in an hour before closing. They were busy but told me to have a seat. I sat and waited for an hour. Finally got seen and I can say the second experience was not so great. It felt very rushed. I have chunks of acrylic around my cuticles, doesn’t feel smooth at all. The Polish was applied further down then usual, I look like I have grow out already. Not to mention most nails aren’t even smooth, there’s lumps under the polish. I also feel like I got ripped off. I paid almost the same amount that I paid my first visit. Should of been less, do to a fill.
I most likely will soak my nails off and find some place else to go.

I love this place!!! They always make you feel welcome and the ladies are really funny. Daisy always does my nails just how I like them, compared to most other places that don’t really seem to pay as much attention to detail. My nails always last weeks with gel, love it! :)

Probably one of the worst pedicures I’ve had. The deluxe and the regular pedis are exactly the same. The paint job was horrendous and she didn’t even touch my cuticles.

So this is my second visit here and the ladies are very friendly their skills however are lacking. I came in for a simple polish change and the woman (Kim) took my nail polish off and it smeared the skin. Instead of removing it completely prior to painting them she left it so I have light pink nails with a weird red tinge. It’s not a good look making it worse is the fact that I could have painted them better myself. I however allowed myself to be talked into a pedicure which was an even bigger mistake. She spent more time filling around the nail then the actual nail, no callous removal even though I paid for it and the massage was non existent. My first visit here was for a manicure that left me with more hang nails then when I came in and the polish job again looked like a toddler did it. I will never be coming here again.

My sister brought me in today for a Mani/​Pedi and nail art from Daisy– and I’m hooked. Daisy is amaaaaazing!

I love this place! They are all so sweet and do a great job. Daisy is amazing! She does all sorts of designs and has a portfolio full of stuff she has done. The owner is also very nice. They keep the store very clean and offer water if your thirsty.

This place can be hit or miss. I took my 6 year old daughter with me as a reward & the guy (Lee i believe) tended to my daughter. He was pretty rough on her hands & feet & ended up leaving her sitting alone while her nails were drying for 20+ minutes. He didnt say anything to me or her till i jumped up from getting my nails done as my child looked back crying. Its cool if u dont like kids BUT DONT volunteer to do their nails if ur going to treat them like crap.

Daisy is a superstar! She always does excellent work no matter what. I love her attention to detail when it comes to 3D art and love the overall friendliness of this place. I’ve only been in a few times but I’ve recommended this place to heaps of people I know.

I took my youngest daughter here for pedicures & I got a wax. I felt very welcomed right from the start.
Their prices here are very reasonable. Cost less than most other nail places in my general Vancouver WA area.
They got our pedicure seats ready immediately. The water was warm & they asked if it was the right temperature.
Very thorough with cleaning & trimming.
It’s been almost a month & my polish still
Looks very good.
For the basic pedicure you get a wax dip & a small massage.
The waxing went very well. She took her time.
Cleaned my eyebrows. Waxed all 6 areas doing a very very good job. It still looks good today.
I will be coming back to this salon for my services from now on. I feel very comfortable here. The prices are great & the people are nice — which is important to me.

Wow! That sums up my experience here at Oscar. this was my first time today, I did a walk in acrylic and pedi and was promptly served with a SMILE! :) The environment was relaxing and beautiful. Calming music and colors. The massage chair and jets where you rest your feet are to die for. I was so relaxed and left feeling a whole new woman after pre wedding stress and plenty of bouts of yelling at my fiancé and well… everyone, I swear the Bridezilla was gone once I walked out of the door. They take their time on your feet, they do a scrub and hand massage on your feet and legs as well as a rock massage and hot wax treatment. It’s amazing! Also, my nails came out so beautiful. The acrylics I used to get at another shop always were painful but I figured I was just being a baby. I left here with no pain and beautiful strong nails on both my hands and feet and paid less than I would have at my old shop. I can’t wait to come back! :-)

Excellent!!! Just saw some pictures and i was on the road. Service is excellent and skills! Henry did my nails and theyve never been better! So happy and worth every penny.

I have gone a few times and have become more disappointed each time. The lady rushed my nails and in the process cut me and drilled so far that the back of my thumb nail was red. Very upsetting won’t ever be going back.

Anh is a very sweet lady! She was gentle, and did a great job (fixing another place’s ugly job)! She helped me choose exactly what I wanted– color changing Shellac! I’m definitely going back!

I’m posting this review mostly for Daisy and Lee. I’ve gotten shellac manicures and a pedicure and love this place. I recently went back to get a mani and Daisy was gone, and the quality just wasn’t up to Daisy’s standards. Actually, I probably could have given myself a better manicure.
But I digress — if you come here ask for Daisy or Lee and you won’t be disappointed. They’re wonderful and do beautiful nail art as well!

Daisy did an excellent job making sure my 5 yr old niece had a great birthday. Highly recommended!
