Can’t say enough good things about my experience at this branch since it opened (and PDX mall 1 – 205 location), I first opened an account to get a «green» car loan rate in 2010. Than when I build my home; I arranged for OPCU to hold the final fixed 15 year mortgage in 2012; paying off the US bank construction loan I negotiated. US Bank’s 15 year rate was a .375 higher than the 3.375% obtained (including penalty for no escrow account) and the closing costs about $ 1,500 higher. So was Wells Fargo who held my last two home mortgages. Plus, commercial banks sell off the loans to far off entities which results in continual impersonal servicing hassles. OPCU still holds my loan so when a truck crashed in to it last June; it was great to work with this branch manager Jake, and the local folks in their RE department (including Maria) who were much easier to work with than other banks and credit unions according to the restoration company I used to rebuild (a lot of paperwork needed including engineer report, city permit sign off, invoices, proof of completion, and lien releases. The RC saved several hours of admin. work which saves me $ and said they were paid more promptly than is typical with other lenders (as all the insurance checks are made payable to me and CU). I shudder to think what the 6 month experience would have been like if I had been at a commercial bank!

Onpoint is awesome! I’ve had onpoint since I was 18, many auto loans, always great rates and even better service. Von Michelle helped us buy our house, everything was very smooth and she helped us out alot. 5 stars!
