Nails 4 U

I was recommend to go here by a friend of mine that loves this place but I’m sorry to say that they literally provided me with a poor service. The lady I was with literally would push and shove my feet in and out of the water even after I told her to just let me know and I would move my feet for her. She ended up staining my jeans with nail polish and wasn’t apologetic when I told her about it. A total disappointment and will not be providing or sending business their way.

I witnessed numerous scary issues during today’s visit… So many that I don’t know where to begin with this review.
Cross contamination opportunities abound at Nails 4 U. I watched our tech take the heel grater from my daughter’s station to a new customers station — without washing/​sanitizing it. My tech stored my used heel shaver in the lotion bin on the floor– with skin still inside of it. NO tech washed their hands after using the bathroom during our visit (my station was beside the bathroom door) and when any tools were ‘washed’, it was briefly in the sink that customers were washing their hands in. Used massage stones were rinsed off and then tossed back in the pot filled with water that they are warmed in. Skin shavings were strewn about the floor after being shaved off of multiple customers.
I’m kicking myself for allowing the tech to use the razor on me– this is how people get hepatitis, HIV, tetanus and nasty infections like MRSA. After using the credo tool (razor, side note– isn’t this ILLEGAL to use by these types of businesses in the state of WA?) to shave skin from my heels, the tech walked over to fill a bottle with oil and then came back to my station and wiped the bottle off with the towel that still had my skin on it. Yikes!
By this point, the inner hypochondriac inside of me is starting to panic and as luck would have it, I look down and notice after my pedicure had been completed that my drain wouldn’t drain all of the way. I can’t stop thinking about what the situation was with the station and possibly what was in the bowl when I arrived… before they added water to it.
I took pics and video of what we witnessed today; I’ll share some with you to illustrate what I’m talking about in this review.
I hope to high hell that nothing happens to my daughter or I as a result of today’s visit. We will never be back to this place and strongly urge you to do the same.

I’ve have been coming to Nails 4 U for about 7 years, and there is a reason for that, they r the best! Everyone that works there are friendly and very good at what they do. I have been in to many salons in California and They don’t come close to the excellent care you get from nails 4 U. There mani/​pedi are the best especially the pedicures, I highly recommend getting the works! They are reasonably priced, friendly staff and very clean with new massage chairs. I love this place I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Try it and you will agree. Also great face waxing!

Steven has been doing my nails for over 12 years. Even though it does seem like he is in a hurry, I appreciate his speediness. My nails always look nice and I have never had a problem with them lifting. It takes a lot to break them an if I do, Steven always fixes them. They are fast, convenient and very economical. I would recommend them to all my friends and colleagues.

I came here due to the reviews and it was one of the best mani/​pedis I’ve ever had! Brought my 11 yo daughter and this was her first time. What a great time for both of us. If we didn’t live 75 miles away we’d be regulars!

I’ve been coming to Nails For U for many years and really enjoy the pedis. The foot massage is so nice and relaxing, they really take their time and don’t rush you. I have bumped my polish before it was dry (accidentally) and they fixed it right away. I think if Marilyn T. would have said something, they would have made it right. Just saying.
Sure, you can go to a more «glamourous» nail salon but you’ll find you’re wasting your time. You’ll be back because for the quality and the money, this is a real treat and bargain.

A friend recommended this place to me. I paid $ 45 for a glitter tipped set of acrylic nails. The guy doing my nails seemed to be in a hurry to just get it done, which would be fine if it were a decent set of acrylics. I had SIX breaks/​chips. I was really disappointed and will not be going back there again. Please don’t waste your money too!

I enjoyed my foot spa experience. Very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come here on a regular basis.

I have been coming here for years and always loved it.
WHAT: This is a very simple Vietnamese place, nothing fancy. All they do is mani-​pedi and waxing. They do natural nails as well as the other kinds.
WHY: I really wanted nicer place so I kept trying various salons in Portland but the end result never compared. This place gives me the best manicure, best pedicure, best hand and foot massage and the best eyebrow shaping — and all that for half the price other places charge. Also, they were the first to bring gel nail polish (Shellac) to my attention and now my manicures last for weeks.
AVAILABILITY: At first, I would call ahead to make an appointment but then I realize that walk-​in works perfectly. I never have to wait longer than 10 minutes, they always make it work even though they are busy most of the time.
The people working here are always greeting you with smile and seem genuinely happy to see you.
I feel bad that after many years this is the first time I thought of writing the review. I have been taking them for granted.
