My daughter went in to eat with a groupon. They told her no. They had me click redeem from home. Then they said she was in 2 days ago and she had already used it. I had to get up(in bed sick) and go up there. She had used another groupon 2 days previously. I told them I had bought two. They didn’t believe me. I showed them and after embarrassing my daughter by saying she was lying, after me trying to explain and showing them both groupings, they allowed her to eat. It was a horrible experience and embarrassing. I guess you shouldn’t buy more than one or they say you are lying and trying to eat for free. I am very upset.

I really dislike leaving a bad review but I’d hate for anyone else to make the same mistake we made tonight. We frequent the other Mongolian spot just down the road and tonight we thought we’d give this place a shot. I have no idea how they are still in business. All you can hear in here is the muffled sounds of cooking, a refrigerator and TV’s. The place is dirty, selections appear pseudo gross and warm in the cooler area, the broccoli is barely cut and mostly stalk. Onions are huge and tofu is like chewing plastic. Had to ring the bell and wait for the cook to show up with not even a smile. $ 41 for three of us to eat with only 1 drink. No table service. No atmosphere, the sauces are watered down, over all experience is well below par. I wish I had my money back and we’d gone down the road.

Ate here a few days ago. They’ve gone down hill! Cleanliness is definitely not their strong suit. Everything you touch is sticky ie the bottles of sauces on the tables. The different sauces on the line seemed watered down. Extremely weak. Had the worst stomach ache leaving there. Didn’t event eat half the food on my plate. Gross!

The sauces were watered down, they were out of most the app area foods, the cleanliness wasnt the best. Sticky signs on tables, some grime build up on window ledges/windows and floors smattered with food bits. That said… the veggies were fresh and the rest of the food pretty good. Employees were friendly and busy. While I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here, if someone I knew wanted to go — I would probably go(and load down the sauces x3 my norm).

The space could use some sprucing up. It’s not welcoming. In fact it’s almost unwelcoming. I suppose that if you come hungry knowing you’ll eat at least two plates worth then the price is fair. I liked their selection of noodles. More than most Mongolian places. Their sauces leave a lot to be desired. I could not get my plate spicy no matter how hard I tried. I’m talking drenching the bowl in hot oil attempt here. Nothing. Not even a kick.

This is our favorite Mongolian grill, and that says a lot! Having to feed a vegan, allergy kiddo, and omnivore all in one meal makes this type of meal ideal for us, and we have tried all the local grills. What sets this above the rest for us is definitely their house made sauces! They go beyond the usual soy and plum with a number of delicious choices, including a great teriyaki. There are often coupons available that also make eating here a deal — two for one :)

I went here twice in 2 weeks and I enjoyed the food. However, I got a bad stomach ache after both times which is unfortunate because the food from the grill really does taste good. The food from the warmers, not so much. But the service is good. I never wait too long for anything.

When we first walked in it was apparent the place was a bit out of order. The trays were mostly empty when we went to get food. Once our food was done we went to sit at a table. To our disappointment there wasn’t a clean table. Had the place been really busy I could have understood but it wasn’t. In order to sit we had to clean up someone elses dishes. Very bad experience. About 20 mins after we left my boyfriend and I both got very sick. Will never go here again.

My first time at an all-you-can-eat(AYCE) Mongolian grill. With my appetite, I’d call it a near miracle that I didn’t come here sooner. I filled my small bowls with meat, seafood, and veggies. The cook takes your bowls and tosses all the food on a huge circular flattop. Just wait a minute or two, and your food will be ready. Everything was prepared well. Even when mixing the seafood in with the meat, all the proteins stayed perfectly cooked. Appetizers were OK. They passed something off for chicken wings that probably came from the world’s smallest birds. But the cinnamon-sugar biscuits were awesome. Wanted at least 30 of those. Even on the weekends, it’s a reasonable $ 10.95 for the buffet. On weekdays, it’s $ 6.95 for lunch and $ 9.95 for dinner. I will definitely be back.

Wife and I went there using the BOGO coupon from the coupon clipper. I had not been there for several years when it was under a different management, didnn’t like it then but figured would try again. We went on Sunday evening, not crowded but immediately had concerns as tables had not been bussed, the person taking money was also mopping the floor and as it turned out bussing tables. The place looked shabby, food selection was so-so with the beef being sliced with the grain making it tough once cooked. I had tried the Lamb and found it was not of good quality and actually had quite a bit of fat left on, on the other hand the Pork was tender and was a nice difference. Had the usual selections for a Mongolian BBQ, all looked fairly fresh. The sauces on the other hand is where a big difference was found. Almost all of the sauces seemed watered down, very little garlic, very thin ginger… etc. After cooking the meal still had no taste and needed additional saucing at the table. They had rice wraps, did not try, but the rice was not good and must have been sitting for sometime as it was clumping and not stirred. Very little dessert choices and those little dough balls with sugar unfortunately must have been sitting there all day, tough and stale tasting. I would not recommend this place as there are better in Vancouver.

It was OK, pretty much standard Mongolian Grill fare. You pick your meats/veggies/noodles/etc and make your own sauce. Tasty options. There’s also chicken wings and rice on the bar. There were apparently other things too, but the pans were all empty. The rice was so old that it was crispy and actually hurt to bite on. The price was outrageous for what we ended up getting. Yes, it’s all you can eat, but really, how much does a normal person eat? One serving. Anything more than that is too much. They have an ice cream(soft serve) machine with choc & vanilla, but even that tasted pretty crappy(waxy). I would not go here again. The only reason we did is because Tan Tan was closed and we were hungry.

Mehhhh… Mongolian Barbecue is an experience I tend to enjoy, but tonight made me rethink things. My brother brought me here after he raved that it was so much better than Gobi(which we went to the last time I visited), so I was excited. I should have paid attention to the warnings about high expectations… The inside of the building looked alright, but not really that clean or anything. I’ve heard the bathrooms are pretty nasty, but I didn’t take a look. The food selection is somewhat diverse with a few different meats, noodles, and lots of veggies, but not as much as other places. Also, not as much the fault of the restaurant as the people eating at it, but lots of the veggies/noodles/sauces looked like they had been cross-polluted… I swore I saw some jalapenos floating in the soy sauce and three different things in the broccoli. It’s usually amusing to watch the chefs cook the food, but they didn’t seem very happy about anything… I know food service isn’t easy, but everything seems depressing if no one ever smiles. As far as the cooking process itself, I think everything I got was overcooked… The meats, broccoli, and noodles were all either really tough or burnt. It didn’t really get to me at first, but I had to struggle to finish the plate. My stomach let me know later that night that it really didn’t like the meal, so that was quite unpleasant as well… The only thing that’s saving this place from one star is that the rest of my family said they enjoyed their meal quite a bit. I’m hoping that I was just unlucky and got an experience that isn’t truly indicative of the restaurant’s quality. But for now, I’d recommend just heading on over to Gobi and grabbing something there if you’re having a hankering for some Mongolian goodness.

Although this is the sister store to Yummy Mongolian on MLK, and the employees in the Couve even wear T-shirts that say«Yummy» on them, the word is nowhere on the outside – and DEFINITELY nowhere inside the building. «Yummy» would be overstating things, by quite a bit. If I had to associate only one word – NOT Yummy!– with the food here, it would be: «Hypernatremia!» Sounds like a failed Rock Opera by the Who, or Thomas Dolby or something, which is an apt comparison. But heavens! Don’t take MY word for it – go drop $ 12 on dinner here(not including beverage), and try to create your own reasons why they are about 50% more expensive than Chang’s(at least, compared to the prices the last time I ate @ Chang’s – in Portland), and yet it quickly becomes obvious you are paying for so much less! An inversion of the concept that«Less is More»…ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you… «Hyper… Natreeeeeeeeee mia!!!»

I’m sad to see others don’t like this place as much as I do. Mongolian Grill is one of my favorite things to eat as I am picky about what I like, I love the build your own style of eatting. They always have a great range of options for protein(I love calamari rings) and noodles, along with the normal veggies and sauces. It can be a bit messy getting everything in the bowl but I find using two helps as its all you can eat so it doesn’t matter how many bowels you use. I like having the option of the wrappers to make«asian burritos» and although I don’t usually eat the appetizers it’s nice to have it as an option. I like the soft serve to end the meal.

I love Mongolian BBQ. I don’t love this place. How do I dislike thee? Let me count the ways: 1) While they have a good selection of sauces, the containers for garlic and ginger were just water that evidently had some semblance of garlic and ginger in them once upon a time. Another customer noted this to a server, who brought out containers filled with more water. 2) The young man working the grill had no idea what he was doing. He just kept pouring water on the fixings. I watched him burn at least two sets of noodles. 3) The«appetizer» buffet section was just pitiful. Several of the containers were empty and not refilled. 4) The hot and sour soup was just lukewarm and neither hot nor sour. YUK! 5) The place was dirty. There were several tables around us that had not been cleaned. 6) What little service there was was terrible. We ordered hot tea when we paid(you pay first). We had to remind them twice that we needed tea. It finally arrived when we were about halfway through our meal.

I guess I just don’t like mongolian grills. I was gunna give it a 2 star since I realized I don’t like it there. but the food wasn’t that bad. They had a good selection of sauces and flavors to put in the noodles, but from the moment I got there to the moment I left. everything was just MEH.
