The Vancouver, Washington, office was established in 2010 under the leadership of Steven Wood, ChFC. Steve has been affiliated with John Hancock Financial Network (JHFN) since 1997 and is a member of JHFN’s Corporate Registered Investment Advisor Program, Steve focuses on retirement readiness.

Steve provides uniquely tailored strategies designed and prioritized to address specific client concerns. These may include investment advisory services and life, disability income, and long-​term care insurances.

In addition to receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Malone University (OH) and a Master of Arts degree from Wheaton College (IL), Steven Wood earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) professional designation through the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

His clients benefit not only from his keen insight and broad expertise, but also from the collective strength of other professionals with whom he has established collaborative relationships.

Before coming to John Hancock in 1997, Steve was Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations for George Fox University in Newberg, Ore. He also has served as a pastor in Washington, Oregon, and Ohio, as an associate chaplain at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and as a clergy consultant for Peace Health Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. And years ago he was a delivery driver for United Parcel Service in Canton, Ohio.
