This place is worse than Winco. It’s smaller and has less options. Some basic things they should supply here was not here. I came in there thinking I should have found a product but it was not here.

Man, seriously, I have to shop here all the time, because I’m poor. Every time I do, I am so cautious as to separate on the conveyor belt the cold items from the rest of the items. So careful, in fact, that there’s a distinct group of each. I used to work for Grocery Outlet, and I knew to bag cold with cold, dry with dry, and so on, and so on. No bananas or bread on the bottom. Like, rookie stuff. SO, I separate it out BEFOREHAND just to make it easier on the clerks, and to maybe indicate that a fucking pork roast shouldn’t be bagged with a bunch of Jell-O or whatever I got today. Un-fucking-believable, it’s 100 degrees, and I have to stand in the parking lot and rebag my entire purchase so I can make sure the cheap-ass meat I bought stays cold long enough to make it to a fridge. Grocery Outlet lives up to its name as a cheap market with outlet quality and limited selection. The class and atmosphere is somewhere between a dollar store and a Winco. Be sure to check expiration dates on food and inspect the quality of fruit. A big bag of apples was awesome(and cheap), but a bag of jalapeños went bad almost immediately and had to be trashed. Depth of variety isn’t Grocery Outlet’s strength, but they do have many of recognizable brands for food items. There may be nicer, cleaner, and better markets in the Couve, but the Grocery Outlet is a 3-star a-ok cheap and convenient alternative in Hazel Dell if you aren’t too picky about quality or selection.

Very good selection of low priced frozen foods. They’ve got some weird food items that you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else here as well.

I shop here weekly! The best selection of organic food for cheap is here! They have a lot of gluten free stuff at this location as well. I enjoy shopping at all the Grocery Outlets(it’s a treasure hunt every time) This is my FAVORITE one! They have the most & best selection of everything! And they ALWAYS have nicer box wine for like $ 6 here. The place is always clean & everything is usually always stocked. It is always clean inside & out in the parking lot. The employees are always nice & friendly.

It’s clean and well-maintained. It ought to be considering how new it is. The manager seems to know her stuff, but doesn’t seem to have the best customer relations ability… always wanting to finish her project instead of engaging with folks. I’ve run almost head on with her several times now. Also, there’s one guy who works weekday mornings at the checkstand and is a little too friendly. I don’t mind getting hit on by men — even though I’m straight — but it’s unprofessional, makes us all uncomfortable, and is demeaning and disrespectful. If I see him in there, I just wait until I drive back by later — seriously. Just give me the stuff you have at decent prices — and they mostly do that. It’s hit and miss on some things like produce and meat, but it’s convenient when you can’t get in to fight Winco or Safeway down the road. If you want to try a different wine, go check out the ridiculously low-prices on that. Overall, it’s a pleasant experience and I’m glad they moved in to this location. I’ll keep coming back.

I can’t tell you how happy I was when this place opened! The other one on Mill Plain(I think) is just to far away for me. This location is clean, has super nice employees(Ryan and Jessica are great!) and the prices are amazing! If you find something you like make sure you go back right away because they can sell out pretty fast on some things. It’s always an adventure there, you never know what you are going to find. My kids love the candy isle totally beats the grocery store imo. I was surprised to see the decent selection organic food(check the frozen area I found more above the center freezer bins!) In same parking lot as Dollar Tree makes for a great & inexpensive shopping trip!

Remarkably clean and bright. I wish the one near my house(ghetto) was as nice. The store was orderly, with nothing amiss. no muss or fuss. selection of booze seems rather limited. backpacks must be checked at the front counters date of visit 1÷14÷13
