Established in 2002.

Doug Williams started web marketing in June of 2002 as a small business consulting firm. Doug, a 32 year veteran of business growth strategies, has a strong background in developing holistic solutions for business system models, product development, operational processes, facilities management and a host of other departmental innovations for many large businesses. It was in June of 2002 that he set out to start his own company and help small business owners start and grow their ideas into valuable, profitable business ventures.

Doug and his team have grown this company into a powerful online marketing agency that educates business owners on internet marketing strategies, publishes books on best methods for all facets of online marketing strategies and provides a full breadth of services related to web marketing for businesses small and large, local and national.

In 2013 the company adopted the name Doug Williams Digital Marketing

I am a Blogger, Business Consultant and President of Doug Williams Digital Marketing. I started my business in 2002 doing only business consulting. I contracted with a web designer to build up a web site for me that would have a very professional image and one that get found well for the search term small business consulting. He assured me that he could do this. While he got busy, I started reading up on search engine optimization.

I quickly discovered that my designer had no understanding of search engine optimization… and yet he staunchly defended what he had done and refused to make changes. After several months of an impasse, I paid off the designer and took back the unfinished web site.

Within six months my web site was on page one of Google. Pretty soon my business consulting clients started asking for help on getting their web sites ranked well. Well that was the start of my venture into web marketing.
