Baking has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid baking with my Italian grandmothers in their kitchens. We used to bake old Italian recipes, which are now the cornerstone of my bakery products. I also studied at two Pasticcerias (sweet bakeries) in Naples & Rome, Italy, which was a goal of mine for years. The Italian bakers taught me the traditional ways of baking wonderful Italian pastries.
I started my business from my home, baking biscotti and scones for local coffee shops. Around 2007, I started di Tazza Gourmet Coffee on 164th Ave. in Vancouver, WA. After three years, I moved to my current location on 192nd Ave. in Camas, WA. While here, the business has thrived and I am able to provide a more diverse menu of food and drinks. Even though the coffee business these days is very difficult and competitive, especially for small shops, one of my mottos is «The coffee shop not on every corner.» At di Tazza, I try to give our customers something different with great coffee and quality, homemade food, all at a lower price.
