Confident Driving Instruction

My experience here as a parent was less than stellar. The school was suggested as a alternative to 911 driving school as it was a bit cheaper. Hindsight is ²⁰⁄₂₀ and you definitely get what you pay for. My daughter attended the Lacamas location as it was the closest to our home. I read the other 2 reviews and it looks like they are referring to a different location… anyways, Sherri, the trainer was always extremely rude. I would ask questions pertinent to my daughter’s experience and her responses were always short, rude and unprofessional. After talking to a few other parents — I realized that I was not being hyper sensitive at all and that she was indeed simply unprofessional in her approach with some of the other kids as well. All of her communication is through text and it took a very long time to complete the mandated hours. Often she would reschedule, or complain that she is booked and could not schedule the required drive. The last straw was when my daughter was scheduled to take her final drive and she texted «due to situations beyond her control she could not keep the appointment and to go to a different school.» Mortified, I immediately got on the phone to the DMV to determine what I should do. On Target Driving school was referred and I will say that I had one encounter with the owner Keith and immediately regretted not sending my daughter here in the first place. This place was top notch, and Keith’s knowledge and professionalism truly left me speechless. In addition, my daughter passed with flying colors and received her license exactly a week ago today. Thank you Keith and On Target Driving school! We will be back with kiddo #2.

I definitely suggest going to Confident Driving Instruction or having your kids go here! They are so nice! I went here and just got my license today, I didn’t study for my written I just went off of knowledge from what I learned in David’s class! And I passed my drive with a 96!
There is a reason they are getting 5 stars on all the reviews!

I should have probably wrote this when I was 16, but better now than never!
Confident Driving Instruction is a no-​nonsense, detail orientated class.
I’ve heard horror stories from various other driving schools where the instructor just pops in a movie and calls it good; this is NOT what you will get at this establishment!
David, the wonderful instructor, lays everything out comprehensively and makes sure each lesson fulfills particular Washington state requirements.
Slackers beware: (first off, you probably shouldn’t be on the road if you failed to take time and learn the rules) You MUST attend every class session, though make-​up classes are available for emergencies.
He has a small fridge full of soda and water bottles for students to partake in exchange for .25 cents.
There is also a giant glass jug of candy for students to partake in for free. The reason being so students would stay awake and alert with a dose of sugar.
He is by far one of the nicest, patient, and personable, instructors I have encountered.
Driving school cost around $ 250, which was one of the least expensive at the time– I’m not sure of recent rates.
