We are more than happy to answer all of your questions. We want to spread out knowledge, whether it be products we are using, or the process of installation, we want to keep you in the loop.

History

Established in 1997.

Cascade Fence and Deck has evolved to become one of the leading local fence and deck businesses. Perhaps you know us as «Cascade Vinyl Systems». The original plan was to sell and install only vinyl fence and deck products. We did this for several years, but our customer’s needs were continually changing. After numerous requests from loyal customers looking for products other than vinyl, we decided that it would be best to begin offering other options.

We gradually took on projects outside of our original scope of work, while maintaining the customized feel our customers have grown to love. With a new name to better describe us, Cascade Fence and Deck is now a full service fence and deck contractor, and we strive to be an industry leader.

Cascade Fence and Deck is owned by Brian Kaski. The company was started in 1997 as a partnership between Brian and his parents. In 2002, Brian bought the other half of the business from his parents and continued to grow the company’s services at his customer’s demands. He has surrounded himself with good employees, and treats them very well to ensure your job is being worked on by the best carpenters available.

Can’t say anything about the fences they build but I can tell you how the drive and try and run you off the road, tonight on my way home I passed one of the company trucks and the driver must not have liked it so he rode my ass and tried to run into me 3 times, twice the driver almost hit me when I had to use my brakes due to road conditions, I even had to call the police due to his crazy driving. If this type of person is one that works at this place I will NEVER use them!!! Careful this kind of rage might happen to you and your house.

We had Cascade build a side fence and they did a great job so we called them back for a custom gate. We showed Darran a few ideas off of Pinterest and came up with a design and price quickly.
Scott was the main guy building it and was super helpful and very hard working. They knew that I wanted to get the gate completed so they stayed and worked hours in the dark with the van headlights to be able to see. Leif was the main contact on scheduling and even though we had a few glitches they were great at fixing and making sure we loved our gate.

I had these guys come out and install a new deck, I love it! they did a great job. Very good craftsmanship. I worked with Kurt Johanssen and his team they were great to work with. I will call them again if I need wood work done. They did a fence for me 3 years ago and did a great job back then!

I received several bids for our fence, and Cascade was by far the most professional company of them all. Kurt was fantastic to work with. He actually took the time to listen to my ideas and also made a few helpful suggestions regarding things I hadn’t thought of. I never felt pressured into going with them for the job. They give you 3 different package options once you’ve decided on the right style of fence. I appreciated this because it breaks down the types of materials they use and is simple to understand. Essentially a good, better, best model. Nate (installer) was great too, very friendly and a hard worker! I highly recommend this company, and will use them again next year to extend my backyard deck.

Every aspect of our experience from the initial consultation and estimate to the finished project was handled great. The estimator helped us work out the layout we wanted and gave us a clear explanation of the schedule and the work to be done. The crew showed up on time and completed the work on schedule. In addition to the main job, they also completed two side task on some existing gates. Everyone we interacted with from every part of the organization showed courtesy, professionalism, and attention to detail. It’s rare that a company excels at price, quality, and schedule, but this one does, and we’re very glad to have found them.

I had a monumental deck failure going on & Cascade Fence & Deck came to the rescue. Louis was sent out to look over my second story deck. We discussed the repairs that I needed & he was able to give me a very competitive bid & do the work I wanted. Scott & Jay came out, supported my deck, removed posts, dug post holes, moved sprinkler heads & poured new cement. Two days later, they returned & put up 2 large beams & 4 large posts. My deck was within 1″ of collapsing. Cascade Fence & Deck were professional, a joy to work with & worth every penny! Thanks guys! I hope to work with you again in the future. ~ Val

Our backyard fence blew down twice during last winter’s wind storms. I contacted several companies for a bid but some were so booked they didn’t even call me back. That was not the case with Cascade Fence. I worked with Kurt who came out within a week to do a walk through and gave me a bid within half an hour. I received a courtesy email to ask what my plans were a week later and he was very understanding that I was still waiting for other bids.
In the end and after several months of postponing the project, I decided to go with Cascade Fence mainly due the price and customer service. Kurt answered endless emails I had about the contract and questions about changes I wanted to make to the fence.
Once I signed the contract and put down a deposit, I was surprised how quickly the turnaround time was. I didn’t expect the fence to be torn down, removed, and put up so quickly.
Kudos to Casey and his crew as well. He called me several times to verify what I wanted and most times I left it to his expert opinion.
We have received multiple compliments from our neighbors about our fence.
All around great customer service from the sales team, to the crew and billing folks.

As my fellow Unilocalers will see from some of my reviews, I am a bank executive in charge of a department that handles highly escalated client complaints. It’s my job to ensure that my team provides our clients with expert handling of their concern as well as exceptional client experience.
That said, whenever I come across a company or individual that goes above and beyond I am compelled to Unilocal and Google about it because it’s so important for a company to know when they get it right.
Cascade Fence and Deck gets it right. I was so impressed with Kurt Johansson who represented the company incredibly well. If he was in the banking industry, I might be trying to recruit him. :)
In all seriousness, the reason Kurt really hit it out of the park for me was the way he presented himself and the company, fully explained all options for us, and also outlined WHY he was making a certain recommendation. So often, poor client experience can occur because a company’s representative does not explain the «why». Every step of the way, Kurt listened to what we wanted, asked probing questions and educated us on all of the different ways we could go with our deck.
He was thorough in his research of our needs and in the quote we received. He was also just a super friendly, neat guy.
I was impressed with how quickly he turned the quote around and the company folder/​brochure and paperwork was professional and impressive.
Great job Kurt — you are a fantastic representative of your company — no wonder you guys have great reviews.

We have now learned that:
a) Cascade takes no responsibility to verify the fence they build is actually on the property line, and because of this, we’ve just found out part of the fence they built is going to be torn down because it’s a foot on the other property’s line, so we wasted $ 1400 with them (when we wrote them to complain, they had the nerve of rudely accusing us to try to profit off this), and
b) we’ve found out that Cascade actually did a really terrible job installing the fence. At least 8 fencing companies came by and the developer next door and all agreed they did a terrible job at installing the fence with wood that was way too thin and poor quality for the job and a really bad structure overall including how they attached the wood slats to the posts. We were told by the builder next to us who’s having to remove the fence that a fencing company should never install a fence without verifying property lines. It’s just bad business.
There are many, many reasons now to avoid Cascade Fence and Deck, both quality and service and pricing that is all sub-​par. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This review is long overdue but here I am finally doing it. I used Cascade Fence & Deck to replace our driveway gate and a small portion of our fence near our home.
Taylor was awesome and communicated quickly with me via email. I liked her promptness.
Kirk was great and polite. Helpful too!
CF&D crew were professional, quick and tidy which I liked. They did take a portion of my neighbors fence out without telling her. But they replaced it which was fine. I kinda wished they would have told me beforehand they were going to go on her property so I could communicate that to her. I told them this and they were apologetic. I don’t think they thought it through too much, luckily my neighbor was totally fine with it. They did say if they had to go again on her property the next day they would be sure to tell her. Simple mistake not a huge deal. This was my only dislike with CF&D. Super small issue.
Overall, this company was the quickest in responding to my request, reasonably priced and good people to have working at your home. If I ever need fencing help again I’ll definitely use this company again.

We had a very large fence installed last summer. We share our fence with 3 neighbors so we planned a collaborated project and bought a «good neighbor» fence. The job had to not only satisfy us, but each of our neighbors as well. We could not be more pleased. The fence is absolutely beautiful and in spite of a couple of bumps along they way, Brian and his crew were committed to making sure we were all happy and satisfied with the finished product.
I had collected bids from 5 different companies. Cascade’s bid, although not the least expensive, was more than fair. The customer service and attention to detail is what I appreciated most, we drove a hard bargain and they delivered!

Found cascade fence and deck here on Unilocal.All of our dealings with Kirk the manager have been very professional and friendly.
He came out and helped to design a fence that would work for us, gave us lots of options. We scheduled a date and he sent out a crew.
The fence is solid and looks nice. There were a few details that concerned us so Kirk came back out to see it and agreed that the details were a little off. Then he sent out a crew to correct the issues. Now the fence is pretty much perfect. They really stand behind their work and want customers to be happy.
We were really impressed by the customer service, other fence contractors would not have taken responsibility for errors, but this company appears to be on the up and up.

EXCELLENT, really.
I don’t normally feel compelled to write reviews but my experience with Kirk and the young man who installed my black chain link fencing was really top notch.
They were on time, very responsive, extremely professional and reasonably priced.
Jesse, the young man who installed the fence, could not have been more courteous, informative and professional. Not to mention his desire to make certain that I was 100% happy, which I was.
I am new to Oregon and wasn’t sure what to expect when I first called Cascade but I can go on record and tell anyone looking for fencing that I couldn’t be happier.
I would highly recommend their services.
Absolutely no problems at all, they were great and the fence looks fantastic.

P. S. I had also contacted two other fencing companies for quotes. They were non-​responsive and when they finally did give me a quote, they were higher than Cascade. The two other companies also failed to make the design suggestion that Cascade made that really enhances the look of the fence. I know it’s just chain link but I had two different ground levels to deal with and Cascade was the only company that came up with a visually appealing suggestion.

My experience was great with Cascade Fence and Deck. They made the process of a fence repair at my house uncomplicated and headache free. My fence was not installed by them but they fixed it promptly, professionally and completely. They were very reasonable priced for the level of service that we received. We will definitely use them again if we need any fence or deck work!
