I had a Livingsocial deal for a European facial with chemical peel with Katina. In a nutshell, the facial included skin analysis, cleansing, 2-​step exfoliation, the chemical peel, enzyme/​vitamin C mask, followed by moisturizing.
Pros:
–While Katina did not respond to my call initially, she did return my call within the next day and we were able to set up an appointment quickly.
–Street parking was plentiful and the location was easy to find.
–I was happy that the facial included hand, foot, and neck massages, which were great.
Cons:
–My biggest complaint is that I felt the facial was inaccurately advertised — on the website the European facial is described as «60 minutes» and the chemical peel is an additional treatment added onto the facial. However, my entire experience at Beauteous was less than 35 minutes (!), including filling out paperwork, getting ready, and getting the chemical peel (which should be an add-​on). I didn’t realize the time difference until I checked their website when I got home after the facial. And when I called the salon afterwards, the response was that different people require different treatments and the facial «can take up to 60 minutes.» However, I was not offered any additional treatments or even told of additional treatments during my time there. Therefore, I think there is some false advertising and honestly felt a little cheated.
–The chemical peel was described as a 20% glycolic peel that should leave a glow without any sloughing of skin. I honestly did not think the peel did very much for my skin, and I have had more effective chemical peels elsewhere.
–The skin analysis did not lead to any helpful suggestions for skincare, and I didn’t think my facial was tailored in any special way (i.e. options for different types of masks, option for extractions, etc).
–I would have preferred some sort of headband/​spa hair wrap to keep my hair out of my face during the facial.
In light of the cons outweighing the pros, I will not be back unfortunately.

Very charming salon. Had an amazing facial from Katina yesterday. My skin is glowing and she gives the BEST head and neck massage! I will be back.

Amazing spa day with Katina! She did an amazing facial and then followed up with a pedicure. Great conversation! Definitely my new spot!
